2002 Mercedes Benz CLK 320 Convertible! NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE!
Today we have for sale a truly wonderful driver's car. This machine runs and drives with such sure-footedness and precision as to make you think that it is really just an extension of your own being. I mean this car is a blast to pilot. I love every minute I have spent behind the wheel. With extremely low miles, 115855, it is really just barely broken in. The body on this vehicle is just about as perfect as a twelve year old car can be. The only exterior issues are the plastic rocker covers have some type of fastener that holds them in place and apparently aren't doing a good job. Somebody has taped them in place and it works quite well. However, I am sure the next owner will want to have them reattached properly. The A/C blows cold and hard. All of the electric windows work. The electric door locks work. The electric seats work. The electric headrests work. The cruise control works wonderfully, I love it! The turn signals and dash lights etc all work. The radio says it needs a CODE, that will mean a trip to Mercedes for research. The high beam lights work but the low beams do not. I don't know if it is bulbs or switch. Now for the one and only real bummer. The interior needs new upholstery. The top was left down for a long time and caused the interior to decay and split. Hence, the flood damaged history. The car was not under water it was just left open for a long period of time due to the top being stuck in the down position. The top problem was minor and we have repaired it to full functionality as you can see in the photo array. Reupholster the seats and add new carpets and you have one drop dead gorgeous car. Or just put on a nice set of seat covers. Your choice. Regardless of what you do with the interior the fact remains that the car is one fantastic looking, running and driving machine. Buy with confidence, this car runs GREAT! Now, we are a "Mom and Pop" dealer and are required to collect sales tax and do the paperwork properly. However, we never charge any kind of document fees or any BS dealer fees. You pay for the car and only whatever else the state requires. Remember, this is a "NO RESERVE!" auction. The last lucky bidder owns the car. NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! |

Lewis Hamilton signs another three years with Mercedes
Wed, May 20 2015Dominant. That's really the only term we could use to describe the marriage of Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes F1 team. And now they've signed a new contract. The subject of prolonged speculation, the reigning world champion and his team have announced a new three-year deal that will see Hamilton driving a Silver Arrow at least through the end of 2018. That's good news for Hamilton, who has only ever driven Mercedes-powered cars in Formula One, and for Mercedes, which has secured its star driver for years to come. Although details of the deal (as usual) were not disclosed, the BBC reports that it could be worth as much as $40 million each year. Hamilton's base salary is said to come in at $31 million per season, with extensive bonuses for winning races and championships – something at which Lewis and Benz have proven particularly adept. Racing fans will be well schooled in the trajectory of Hamilton's meteoric rise. He climbed the formula racing ladder with support from Mercedes and McLaren, winning the Formula 3 Euro Series and GP2 championships before hitting the F1 grid for McLaren in 2007 – and quite nearly locking the championship in his first season. He won his first F1 title in 2008, then struggled with the Woking team in subsequent seasons but kept winning races, switching to Mercedes in 2013 after Michael Schumacher re-retired. He won his second championship the following season on the back of 11 grand prix wins last year, and currently leads the standings ahead of his teammate Nico Rosberg. "Mercedes is my home and I couldn't be happier to be staying here another three years," said Hamilton. "The Mercedes car I am driving right now is the best I have ever had in my career."
Chris Harris and David Coulthard wring out a Mercedes Fintail at the N"urburgring
Thu, 17 Oct 2013If there's one thing we've learned from the latest video from Drive, it's that the combination of Chris Harris and David Coulthard will produce some very quotable moments. Take this exchange, for example.
DC: "We are by some way the slowest."
CH: "But we're in a class of three cars, apparently."
Mercedes spotted prepping new S63 AMG Cabrio
Wed, Jul 15 2015If the market for convertibles is on the decline, nobody seems to have told the fellas over at Mercedes-Benz. The German automaker keeps adding more droptops to its lineup, and soon it will have one more on its hands in the form of the new S-Class Cabriolet. And here we have photos of the new flagship cabrio getting ready for its big debut – but not in just any old form. This would appear to be the new S63 AMG convertible. As the S-Class Coupe is already out there in various states of tune, we're not expecting any major surprises from the new convertible. Look for a folding fabric roof mechanism to open up a spacious four-seat cabin. A car with which Benz can attack the likes of the Bentley Continental GTC especially, but also the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible, Aston Martin DB9 Volante, and the upcoming Rolls-Royce Dawn (the drophead version of the Wraith). The AMG version ought to help that effort even more, complete with Affalterbach's 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8, fully expected to pack the same 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque as the other S63 models. We're anticipating Daimler to take the wraps off the S-Class cabrio at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, but we'll have to wait to see if the AMG version appears alongside it or follows at some later date.
