Up for sale is this super clean 2007 Mercedes-Benz C280 4Matic. This vehicle has only 40,000 miles and it looks and drives amazingly! Unfortunately, this vehicle was involved in fresh water and is being sold with a salvage title. We are not sure why this vehicle was branded a flood because we can see no sign of any water damage at all and the vehicle is in perfect running order with all the electronics working perfectly (see my video). Every switch and button in this car is working the way it should. There is absolutely no reason this vehicle should have been branded a salvage title.
This Benz is super clean and has a black onyx exterior with black leather interior accented by real wood trimming.  The leather seats are in like new condition and they are also heated and fully powered with memory functions.  This C280 just turned 40k miles (which is extremely low for this year) and it runs and drives fantastically. All these miles are out of state highway miles and it shows. The drive is so smooth, its like floating on a cloud. Every feature in the car is working the way it should including the A/C. The air conditioning in this car is ICE cold. This vehicle is ready for its new owner and needs nothing at all done to it. This is a nice example of an all original, low mileage, super clean Mercedes. And they are hard to find like this.
This C280 is loaded up with every possible option. It has full leather interior with heated seats, 4Matic All-wheel drive, power glass moonroof, CD changer in glove box, xenon headlights, fog lamps, power rear shade, steering wheel controls, on board computer, upgraded Harman Kardon sound system, remote keyless entry with alarm, power tilt steering wheel, and all the power features you could possibly think of.
This Benz comes with two original Mercedes key fobs. We also have the floor mats, first aid kit, and the unused spare tire and jack. The tool kit is pretty much complete as well. Its all there.
This vehicle was very well cared for and it shows. The maintenance all appears to be current and the vehicle is reliable and runs like a dream. The car has all matching Cooper tires all around. We have driven it 1000 miles and it seems to be running and driving 100%. You can literally jump in this vehicle and drive it 2,000 miles back home without any problems. We changed all the motor and transmission fluids and the vehicle has new brakes, new rotors, and new windshield wiper blades.
The exterior of the vehicle is clean. The paint is nice and glossy and all the body lines are perfect and straight. The body is in above average condition and there is no real blemishes to point out on this vehicle at all. The car shows extremely well, especially for its age. This car also seems to be all original with no paint or bodywork. The paint shines like glass. The carfax report shows no accident history.
The interior of the vehicle is also super clean. The seats have no cracks or rips and the leather is very firm and supple. The dash and door panels are also very nice and clean.  All the wood trimmings and other interior trims are in perfect condition. The interior is perfect condition in my opinion.
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. This vehicle is being sold with a salvage title. It is the buyers responsibility to know the laws and requirements for registering a salvage vehicle in their state. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you buy the car and are located in my local area, I will deliver it to you FREE of charge. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. With that being said, feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns. My name is Frank and my number is 347-961-1194. Thanks and good luck bidding

Car2go introduces four-seat Mercedes B-Class vehicles

Tue, Sep 29 2015

Easily identified by its huge fleet of blue-and-white Smart Fortwos in cities around the world, Daimler's Car2go car sharing service is growing in Canada – both in the number of vehicles and the doors that they have. For the first time in North America, the company is renting a model with a usable backseat thanks to a new pilot program bringing 75 examples of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class to Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary. The point of adding these hatchbacks to the ranks is to offer an option for those seeking more than the paltry room that the ForTwo offers. Car2Go imagines people using the B-Class to haul extra people in the back or just for the added cargo space. The vehicles wear the same blue-and-white look as the rest of the fleet, but they're specially identified for users in the smartphone app. Best of all, for this pilot program, their rental cost is the same 41 cents per minute as the tinier Smarts. The car sharing service has already started testing the waters of offering the B-Class in Germany. Its Car2Go Black pilot program was announced last year and placed 100 of the hatchbacks in both Berlin and Hamburg. car2go Just Got A Lot More Spacious Carsharing Leader Introduces Four-Door Vehicles For The First Time In North America AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 28, 2015 /CNW/ -- car2go N.A., LLC, the market leader for one-way carsharing in Canada, announced today that car2go will be introducing 75 four-door vehicles to its fleet in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. The new four-door vehicles are also equipped with the latest car2go technology, allowing members the ability to control their entire car2go experience seamlessly through the official car2go smartphone app. car2go will be introducing 75 four-door vehicles to its fleet in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 to debut in Monterey

Mon, Aug 15 2016

Mercedes surprised the car world last week when it teased an enormous, Maybach-badged coupe concept. Now we have a name and a debut date. Mercedes released the info in a second teaser image posted to its Facebook page. Called the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 – "Vision" equals concept and "6" denotes the length in meters – the new two-door will debut at Pebble Beach on Thursday. So yeah, here's another reason to get excited about Monterey Car Week. As for the teaser image, it's a head-on shot as opposed to the profile view that Mercedes released last week. The new view supports our theory that the super-skinny mirrors are cameras, and the shot also reveals new styling touches. The most noticeable are the very thin, un-Mercedes-like headlights – they flank a prominent, heavily polished waterfall grille that marks a significant departure from recent Mercedes products. A traditional Mercedes hood ornament sits above the grille's small "Maybach" designation. Kicking up the exposure in Photoshop doesn't reveal too much more detail – unlike last week's profile image – aside from a set of chrome strips that run along the sides of the hood. Autoblog's Monterey Car Week crew ships out for the left coast soon – expect more on the festivities, including the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6's debut, later this week. Are future vehicular hacks inevitable?

Wed, Jul 29 2015

Before the hack of the Uconnect system in a Jeep Cherokee resulted in a 1.4-million vehicle recall, the potential software vulnerabilities in vehicles were already a hot topic with Congressional inquiries and even proposed legislation in the US. As cars' interconnected systems gain the ability to go online, they become open to a host of new threats. Automakers are trying to stop this, but it might be too late to put the genie back into the bottle. Throughout 2015, the issue of software security in vehicles has become increasingly vital. For example, the recent Jeep case wasn't even the biggest hack this year. In February, a major flaw was discovered in the BMW Connected Drive service that allowed researchers to remotely lock and unlock the doors and potentially affected 2.2 million cars. The fix was an over-the-air patch for the problem. Automakers are actively working to fix the issues. Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi reportedly are using encrypted connections and firewalls in their vehicles to prevent hacking. "Absolute, 100-percent safety isn't possible," Daimler spokesperson Benjamin Oberkersch said to Automotive News Europe. "But we develop our systems, tested by internal and external experts, so they're up to date." These vulnerabilities seem to be popping up more often. A successful hack took $14 in parts from Radio Shack in one case. There was also a 60 Minutes report earlier in the year about DARPA's ability to hack into OnStar to take control of a Chevrolet Impala. Experts aren't so sure companies can contend with hackers' advancement. "The difficulty for the carmakers at the moment is the question whether they can keep pace with advances in technology, and especially hacking technology," Rainer Scholz, executive director for telematics consultant EY, said to Automotive News Europe. "We seriously doubt they can." At this point, vehicle hacks are coming more from researchers looking for holes than from those with malicious intent. Still, the vulnerabilities are definitely there. It's up to automakers to keep patching the problems before they become dangerous to drivers.
