C63 Amg Development Package & Limited Slip - Huge $79k Msrp! on 2040-cars
Reisterstown, Maryland, United States

This car is loaded with just about every option available including Nav, Pass Assist, Parking Assist, etc... The biggies, the ones that matter the most is the P31 Development Package and the 471 Limited Slip. The Development Package raises stock horsepower from 451 to 481 and the Limited Slip allows you to get all that horsepower to the pavement. Hopefully you've already done your research on the C63 and you'll know that when optioned right, the car is an absolute rocket ship. A couple of things to consider when comparing 2013 C63 to older models. The 2013 has an upgraded dash and console, chin spoiler and more importantly, the MCT transmission which is far superior to the previous 7G-Tronic. The MCT has no torque converter, which was a major power eater for the 7G-Tronic... Therefore, you end up with even more power to the wheels. Also, don't get lured into a low MSRP C63 without the Development Package or Limited Slip... You'll be kicking yourself once you realize what your missing when it comes to the car's performance. As far as mods go, they were carefully selected with the goal of making the car the way AMG should have in the first place. First, I installed H&R Lowering Springs which dropped the car 1 inch. I wanted the best matte black rims on the market and was lead to the 19" Forgestar CF10. Then came the home work, as I also wanted the perfect offset; one that would give the most aggressive stance without and tire rub and I found it. The wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sports, the best tire available for the car. Wheel dimensions are 19x8.5 front and 19x10 rear. Front tires are 245mm and rears are 275mm!!! The added traction from the Pilot Super Sports and wider footprint is astounding, not to mention the beefier look of the 275mm vs. the 255mm stock running gear. This is the way the car should have come from the factory. Anyway, I finished it off by wrapping the interior trim panels in 3M Carbon Fiber vinyl wrap which is 100% removable if you are a wood trim kind of guy. FYI: Although AutoCheck shows this as a 1 owner car, I am in fact the 2nd owner. Stock wheels and tires are also included with the "buy it now" price. Please understand that if you were to replicate these mods yourself, you would be out of pocket $4000!!! So if they are not for you, make your offer accordingly. I will happily put the stock wheels & tires back on the car and sell the Forgestars/ Michelins elsewhere. If you are looking for a car that is best described as a 911 twin turbo with 4 doors, look no further. I am a true car enthusiast who has bought & sold many highline cars through eBay and have always maintained 100% positive feedback. There will be no disappointment here! |

Race recap: 2015 Singapore Grand Prix full of odd sideshows
Mon, Sep 21 2015What greeted the Formula One teams in Singapore? Confusion. The haze was so thick that observers wondered if the race would be held at all. Then practices began, and Mercedes-AMG Petronas driver Nico Rosberg took the first one, but the team fell away after that. Mercedes said it couldn't get the tires turned on, but no one believed the Silver Arrows was in genuine trouble. Then qualifying set the confusion in stone. Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel laid down the best time in Q3, taking the team's first pole position since Germany in 2012. Daniel Ricciardo got his Infiniti Red Bull Racing into second, about one tenth behind Vettel. (That may make the team feel better after Ricciardo publicly asked for a better engine than the current Renault unit, and team advisor Helmut Marko said the outfit will quit F1 at the end of this year if it can't get a stronger powerplant for 2016.) Kimi Raikkonen put the second Ferrari in third, Daniil Kvyat put the second Red Bull in fourth. And only then came the Meredes'. Lewis Hamilton's best got him fifth, the Brit saying, "We don't really know what we have got wrong. For some reason the tires are not working on the car. We do the warm-up the same as everyone else and then you see someone one second up the road." For added emphasis on the reversal of fortune, his time was 1.6 seconds behind Vettel's. Teammate Rosberg is next to him in sixth, a further half a second back. Williams is still a hurting a bit on slow tracks, so Valtteri Bottas could only get into seventh ahead of Max Verstappen in the Toro Rosso and teammate Felipe Massa in ninth. When the red lights went out, the 2015 Singapore Grand Prix would get both less interesting and more interesting all the way to the final lap. The men up front got good getaways, and the order into Turn 1 was Vettel, Ricciardo, and Raikkonen. The race finished with those three in that order, never having conceded position. Vettel's Ferrari enjoyed the track so much that he laid a second per lap into Ricciardo for the first five, then relaxed. He'd let the gap come down later in the race a couple of times, but any time he wanted to see what his mirrors looked like without anyone in them he'd take off again. Rosberg took fourth position after holding down sixth for the first stint. It looked like he'd have an even worse day - for a Mercedes driver - when he had problems getting his car started and onto the grid before the race.
Sunday Drive: From a mid-engine 'Vette to a restomod RV
Sun, Jan 7 2018Automotive enthusiasts are a diverse bunch. As proof, we present last week's top posts on Autoblog, starting with some really good spy photos of the upcoming mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette. Will it be sold alongside a classic front-engine 'Vette? We have no idea, but we can't wait to find out. Up next is a pickup truck. Can't get much further from a supercar, right? At least both the Corvette and the 2019 Ram 1500 – which will debut a radical new design that appears to eschew the mini big-rig look of past Rams in favor of something more refined – are both American. Decidedly not American? The Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV. The boxy off-road 'ute looks a heck of a lot like the old one, which is probably a good thing, but we know it'll be fancier and more luxurious than ever before. Check out the leaked images below. Also hailing from Germany, but sharing absolutely nothing else in common at all, is the Audi A4 Allroad. We've been driving this all-wheel-drive wagon for a while now, and we like it quite a bit. And, last but not least, is a 1959 bus that's been converted into an RV. Like we said, y'all certainly are a diverse bunch. Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe gets first video teaser
Thu, Aug 13 2015With less than a week until its big reveal, Mercedes-AMG has kicked up its teasing of the two-door version of the C63 Sedan. This 16-second teaser shows off the sonorous sounds of the coupe's expected powerplant, a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8. The car is still camouflaged, although we're able to get a nice look at the two-door C-Class' form, which we must say is darn attractive. As previously reported, the C63 Coupe will almost certainly mirror its four-door counterpart in terms of mechanicals. So that 4.0-liter V8 should be offered in both 469- and 503-horsepower varieties, with grunt dispatched to the rear wheels via a seven-speed AMG Speedshift transmission. While output should be identical, it's a safe bet that the two-door C63 will trim some of the four-door's 3,900-plus-pound curb weight. That should, hopefully, improve upon the C63 S' already impressive 3.9-second sprint to 60. We'll have much, much more on the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe when it makes its grand debut on August 19. Until then, check out the video of the prototype being flung around the track and stay tuned for the official reveal of the non-AMG C-Class Coupe, slated for later today.
