3rd daughter coming in 2 months and a move from AZ to Atlanta are forcing the sale of C43. 1 year ago I had the engine and transmission replaced with a transmission & engine out of a 1999 e55 AMG, the mileage was almost identical, so engine and transmission are with in 1.5k miles. This has increased HP by over 60 and given it a much better transmission. This has been my daily driver for 3 years. I am the third owner, and the first to make the car a daily driver, although my office is only 3 miles from home keeping the miles low. This car provides a great blend of performance, comfort and class without being flashy. I am sad to see it go, it runs like a top!
In the spirit of full disclosure here are all the items on the car that I know need a little attention:
The seats in the front were not treated by previous owner and the leather has cracked, the rear seats are still in good condition, once the garage door was shut when the car was not all the way in putting a scratch in the rear bumper (see photo), the front bumper is very low to the ground and the lower grid broke when pulled to close to a parking curb (also see photo), the relay for the wipers occasionally gets stuck and they stay on, requiring me to turn off the car and then they stay off. Finally the electric seats have a short in the control box and work intermittently, (mostly annoying to my wife but keeps her from driving it:) These are all easy fixes but with a baby and a move I have not been able to take care of them.
The car does have an i-pod and aux. jack for i pods and phones, the controls on the factory in dash unit will control most i pods and i phones, it is an aftermarket plug in that takes the place of the cd changer, which is still in the trunk if you wanted to connect it.
I also have a second set of rims and almost brand new tires for the rear that are a little larger, off the e55 that make the car look really mean but they rub just a little when the car goes over a large bump. This could be cured with a little creativity and I will include them in the sale of you want them. The car has never been in an accident, the previous owner bought it from his boss, who was the original owner. It lived in California originally and then moved to AZ. It has never seen any rust. The car has been treated well, and is straight.
I also purchased an AMG supercharger when I bought the motor that I was planning on installing but the car was so fast with the new motor and lighter weight body that I never got around to installing it. I will sell it for $400 if a buyer is ambitious to make a car with over 550 HP!

Dartz promises own 6x6 G-Class with golden shishas and a dining room
Mon, 25 Mar 2013So you didn't really think Dartz Motorz was going to let the limited-production, 544-horsepower Mercedes 6x6 G63 AMG go without a challenge, did you? Picking up the gauntlet as only Dartz can, the Russian dream-makers have come up with the Sahara G-eopard, supposedly a special request from a buyer to make one of the 'standard' six-wheelers "more opulent and insane."
That means the vehicle from the factory gets extended by about a foot (30 centimeters), coach doors in the rear, a "yacht floor" and air conditioning that runs on its own power source, Asanti 24-inch Gold Bullion wheels and a water dispenser with Russian diamonds, which the owner will need to fill the golden shishas (hookahs) in the portable smoking room. That's right, you heard the man: a portable smoking room. Where the occupants will retire when they're finished in the portable dining room. Of course.
Yes, it will even have leopard spotting painted onto its nano-coating, and so much more. You can check out the press release below from the source. Try not to be jealous.
Formula One speeds towards radical thousand-horsepower shakeup
Wed, Feb 11 2015The teams, the drivers, the fans, the circuits... few, if any, were satisfied with how Formula One has shaped up since the current regulations took hold last year. But that doesn't mean they aren't working on it. At a recent meeting of the F1 Strategy Group, the leading parties in the sport outlined a new framework that would radically shake up the cars themselves while keeping costs in check. And the biggest change could see the engines producing around 1,000 horsepower. Although a proposal put forth by Ferrari to ditch the current V6 hybrid engines in favor of new twin-turbocharged units was rejected by Honda and Mercedes, the members of the group approved in principal to increase the fuel flow in the existing engines to dramatically boost output. As it stands, the current 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engines develop around 600 horsepower, with an additional 160 or so kicked in by the electric Energy Recovery System, for a combined output of about 760 hp. What's not clear at the moment is whether the increased fuel flow would necessitate either the return of mid-race refueling (currently banned) or the installation of larger fuel tanks. Red Bull and McLaren also submitted proposals to radically redesign the shape of the cars as well, however a more evolutionary approach was adopted instead. Though far from finalized, the new design would keep the same basic form of the current chassis, but with adjustments to make them more aesthetically pleasing while producing more downforce. Wider tires are also said to be part of the mix. With more power and more grip from the tires and aero, the resulting cars would most certainly end up going much faster than the current ones, which are already starting to nudge the lap records at some of the circuits, many of which were set during the V10 era. The F1 Strategy Group is made up of representatives of the FIA, Formula One Management and six leading teams. The next step will be for the teams' technical directors to iron out how to implement what their bosses have agreed to. If they settle the details fast enough, the revised regulations could be pushed through in time for next season.
