Up for sale is a 1990 Mercedes-Benz 420 SEL. This vehicle is in excellent factory condition inside and out. I bought this car without intention of selling it. I spent a great deal of money to repair and restore it. The following were done: Interior: replaced wood trims, shift knob, two tone steering wheel, and all-weather floor mats. Exterior: It still has original body paint with re-painted rocker moldings, bumpers, front grill and side view mirrors to white, and the headlights were replaced with brand new factory European Design. Also, the wheels were replaced with 17" chrome, which come originally with factory 1990 560 SEC, with brand new Michelin tires. I am a mechanic and have done all services and repairs myself. The engine was completely replaced with 70k engine. Repairs: resealed from a to z, replaced all of the coolant system components (includes hoses, thermostat, radiator, and water pump), belts, brakes, rotors, shocks, and the air conditioning was replaced with newer system (134R). Whoever buys this car will not have deal with mechanical issues or spend extra money for a long time to come, if maintained on regular basis. Due to financial difficulties, I have no choice, but to let this baby go.

Race Recap: Singapore Grand Prix is about a safety car and submission
Mon, 23 Sep 2013The Singapore Formula One Grand Prix is the Monaco GP of the Orient - a weekend known more for its glamour and time-slot than on-track action, with a temporary circuit that punishes every mistake, usually terminally.
Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas got the best of Free Practice 1, opening the curtain on a possible resurgence of Silver Arrows performance. By the time qualifying was done, though, it was his teammate Nico Rosberg who lined up second on the grid, followed by Romain Grosjean with a beautiful performance in the Lotus, Mark Webber in the Infiniti Red Bull, and Hamilton all the way back in fifth. Behind them were Felipe Massa outqualifying Ferrari teammate Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button getting the McLaren into eighth, Daniel Ricciardo with another good Q3 effort to get into ninth, and the shocker of Esteban Gutiérrez getting his Sauber into the top ten for the first time this year.
At the front of the pack was Sebastian Vettel. Again. But he was only ahead of Rosberg by a single tenth of a second...
2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class lineup shows its freshened face
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Mercedes-Benz showed us its redesigned 2014 E-Class more than a month ago, but the Detroit Auto Show finally gave us a chance to see the full family of mid-size luxury cars and wagons in the flesh. Dieter Zetsche introduced the cars, including sedan, coupe, convertible and station wagon, on stage showing the stylish new design direction.
The wagon and sedan versions (shown as the E400 Hybrid above) will go on sale this spring, while the coupe and cabriolet will hit showrooms over the summer. Check our new gallery of live shots for the entire 2014 E-Class lineup, as well as the previously released press release below.
Gullwing America turns SLS AMG Roadster into stunning 1955 300 SC redux
Thu, 14 Feb 2013Gullwing America specializes in what it calls "retro styling meets modern technology." It's next demonstration of that is the convertible above, a stylized recreation of the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SC (inset) supported by the structure of a 2012 SLS AMG Roadster. Commissioned by a client in Eastern Europe, the resulting car is called the 300 SLC.
The hand-formed aluminum bodywork required just a few changes to the SLS AMG Roadster, namely reworking the headlights into a stacked arrangement of LEDs and relocating the pop-up spoiler behind the cabin. The retro grille and long, straight hood evoke the past, the custom exhaust, height-adjustable suspension, 21-inch wheels up front and 22-inch wheels in back, however, stray a little further from history. The 300 SLC will come with a hardtop and be one-of-a-kind, making it even rarer than its inspiration, of which 92 were made.
