1976 Mercedes 450 SEL 4.5l V8 Cool classic!! Low reserve!! This Classic Mercedes is a chance for you to own a restorable Classic at a fraction of the cost of a fully restored or original condition vehicle. It is a running vehicle with good bones ready for someone to take it to the next level or simply enjoy it as is. This was my project car that I was slowly working on but we have purchase a large older home and need to focus on its renovation so my other projects must go. I have done a lot of work to get the car running decently starting with fixing intake leaks by replacing the intake seals as well as the injector seals. professionally cleaned the injectors and replaced various hoses etc. I also replaced the Warm up regulator with a rebuilt unit. I also replaced the fuel pump and Fuel accumulator to cure the hard start problems it had when I got it. Always Starts up now. It also had the leaky exhaust pipes replaced and new catalytic converters installed. I replace the two front tires and the rear tires have maybe 30% tread left and will need replaced soon. The brakes are strong, steering is tight. The exterior is in good condition for its age. The paint job was done by the previous owner and is OK certainly not show worthy but looks pretty good. The interior is in decent shape. Seats were recovered by previous owner, headliner is intact and the sunroof works. Here are issues I know about Carpet is a bit thin and some of the vinyl is cracked here and there including dash. Passenger front window regulator is off track goes down but does not like to come up. Heater servo is non functional Vacuum locks do not work Antenna motor non functional A few areas of rust - drivers side jack point, rear passenger wheel well (see pics) all areas are repairable and the underbody, floor pans, etc are in good shape. Like I said this is a great starting point for someone to build a really nice car for a low reserve - Look around Ebay and see what these are going for. this item is listed locally as well and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. Please ask any questions and Good Luck! |

Korean man destroys Mercedes S63 to protest poor customer service
Tue, Sep 15 2015Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. This South Korean owner was apparently quite dissatisfied with the customer service from the dealer for his Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG. For some reason, the best solution that he came up with was parking the luxury sedan outside the store and beating the Mercedes mercilessly with a golf club. Whatever the problem was, this definitely didn't help. According to a translation of Almuraba, the owner in the clip was upset because the dealer refused to pickup and replace his car. We suspect there's likely more to the story than just that, but you're no going to get it from this video. Instead, watch as a man systematically puts dozens of divots into the S-Class and breaks every light he can find. The damage looks way too severe to just buff out, but once all the glass is replaced, at least the next owner wouldn't need to worry about dings (or large holes).
2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series [w/video]
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Now Even Sharper Than The Razor's Edge
There have been five Black Series models since the Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG Black Series introduced itself to European audiences in 2006. Following that, the Black Series club has hosted appearances by the 2008 CLK63 AMG Black Series, the 2009 SL65 AMG Black Series and last year's 2013 C63 AMG Black Series. The sixth member of the group is one we would have thought already was a Black Series car in its standard guise. Right out of the box, the SLS AMG is loud, frenetic, cozy, boisterous and frightfully easy to oversteer. How much more Black did it need to get?
Quite a bit so, apparently. The SLS AMG Black Series has lost weight, gained power and been refitted with upgrades and aero bits from front to rear. If you liked the way it looked before, you'll probably be an even bigger fan of this one. If you thought it looked ungainly, well, this one should stay even further away from pageants. Regardless of where you come down this is the best SLS AMG variant we've driven.
Which electric cars can charge at a Tesla Supercharger?
Sun, Jul 9 2023The difference between Tesla charging and non-Tesla charging. Electrify America; Tesla Tesla's advantage has long been its charging technology and Supercharger network. Now, more and more automakers are switching to Tesla's charging tech. But there are a few things non-Tesla drivers need to know about charging at a Tesla station. A lot has hit the news cycle in recent months with regard to electric car drivers and where they can and can't plug in. The key factor in all of that? Whether automakers switched to Tesla's charging standard. More car companies are shifting to Tesla's charging tech in the hopes of boosting their customers' confidence in going electric. Here's what it boils down to: If you currently drive a Tesla, you can keep charging at Tesla charging locations, which use the company's North American Charging Standard (NACS), which has long served it well. The chargers are thinner, more lightweight and easier to wrangle than other brands. If you currently drive a non-Tesla EV, you have to charge at a non-Tesla charging station like that of Electrify America or EVgo — which use the Combined Charging System (CCS) — unless you stumble upon a Tesla charger already equipped with the Magic Dock adapter. For years, CCS tech dominated EVs from everyone but Tesla. Starting next year, if you drive a non-Tesla EV (from the automakers that have announced they'll make the switch), you'll be able to charge at all Supercharger locations with an adapter. And by 2025, EVs from some automakers won't even need an adaptor. Here's how to charge up, depending on which EV you have: Ford 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Tim Levin/Insider Ford was the earliest traditional automaker to team up with Tesla for its charging tech. Current Ford EV owners — those driving a Ford electric vehicle already fitted with a CCS port — will be able to use a Tesla-developed adapter to access Tesla Superchargers starting in the spring. That means that, if you own a Mustang Mach-E or Ford F-150 Lightning, you will need the adapter in order to use a Tesla station come 2024. But Ford will equip its future EVs with the NACS port starting in 2025 — eliminating the need for any adapter. Owners of new Ford EVs will be able to pull into a Supercharger station and juice up, no problem. General Motors Cadillac Lyriq. Cadillac GM will also allow its EV drivers to plug into Tesla stations.
