I purchased this car from an elderly retired couple in the Mansfield OH area 10 years ago. I have been the owner ever since. I believe I am the third owner. The car was not titled for several years and belonged to the dealer. It was then sold to a local attorney in Mansfield and then to the older couple.
The great things about this 20 year old car: It handles and drives very well for a 4 door sedan. Very predictable and solid. I have autocrossed this car in the past and even ran it at Mid-Ohio in 2004. This car is # 534 of 700 in the world. Sun roof, DVD player. The interior is in excellent condition with no tears or rips in any of the leather. This car came with factory carbon fiber appearance trim.
I have all documentation; including the title, original bill of sale, certificate of authenticity, and "Birth Certificate" from The Mercedes Benz Classic Center. I also have the original front orange turn markers as well as the OEM cassette player and speaker.
I am selling this car because I need a larger verhicle like an SUV and this is no longer meeting my needs.
This car is in great condition for a 20 year old vehicle. The body, engine, drivetrain and mechanics are all very solid. The rear has new pads and rotors as well as new Michelin tires as of June 2013.
The not so great things about this car are: The A/C is not working. No one will work on it until first converting it from R12 to R134. I don't want to have to pay twice to fix the air. The cruise control also is not working and there is a spot of rust below the window on each C pillar. Someone also opened their door into my car and there is a small dent on the pasenger side door.

Bosch builds an infotainment system that just might not suck
Tue, Jan 30 2018As far as we've come with in-car infotainment and interfaces over the past decade or so, we still have a long way to go — as most current systems show. Whether it's high-end brands like Mercedes-Benz with its kludgy COMAND system, which we hope will be replaced with the MBUX platform revealed at CES, or more mainstream vehicles like Hondas (with their frustrating, knobless Display Audio interface), getting the kind of content and ease of use in the car that we're used to having on other connected devices is far too complex and sometimes costly. While Apple and Google have tried to ride to the rescue with CarPlay and Android Auto, respectively, they're limited solutions. No automaker or tech supplier has been able to deliver an easy, economical, flexible and non-distracting infotainment solution. But Bosch could be closing in on this elusive goal, given the digital cockpit concept demo I recently received at CES. Displayed in a Cadillac Escalade, the concept featured five interconnected color screens: one in the instrument cluster, two in the center console, and two more in the front-seat headrest for second-row passengers. The digital cockpit concept demo had cool features such as haptic-feedback touch-screen controls that created an edge-like feeling similar to a physical button, facial recognition to confirm driver credentials, and the intelligence to know the location of a phone in the car to lock it out to keep the driver from texting. The most significant aspect of the Bosch digital cockpit concept wasn't visible — but shows the company's vision for a future of seamless, convenient, cost-effective and safe in-car infotainment. It's powered by a single electronic control unit (ECU) that can simultaneously run multiple operating systems and also separates vehicle and infotainment controls for critical safety and cybersecurity reasons. Most modern cars can have as many as 100 separate ECUs, Philip Ventimiglia, product manager for Bosch Car Multimedia North America, explained at CES, and several just for infotainment functions. "The goal is to reduce that to about 10 so that we can save cost throughout the vehicle and enable new technologies," he added. "OEMs want to put more technology into cars, but it costs money," Ventimiglia said.
Mercedes-AMG teases C63 Coupe again, this time on video
Mon, Jul 20 2015The present Mercedes-Benz C-Class has gone mature in the best way. The C63 AMG, however, is a gentleman villain, and it appears that the C63 AMG Coupe could go full rogue. Earlier this month Mercedes teased the two-door and a dash of its aural violence, but only gave us pictures to look at. The second teaser puts bits of the car on camera, accompanied by more of its tamer sound effects. The C63 AMG Coupe will almost certainly be seen in glossy photos beforehand, but we expect to meet the noble barbarian at the Frankfurt Motor Show with a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 underhood. In the C63 S sedan that engine works up 503 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, numbers that should be the same here. It will be joined by its other, less fire-breathing coupe siblings on the show stand. And since this second teaser is so brief, we've included a longer vid captured at the 'Ring in which the coming AMG tries to keep its tail under control. You'll find that below. Mercedes-Benz concept car takes driverless vehicles into the future
Mon, Mar 23 2015A new Mercedes-Benz concept car is looking to give Google a driverless run for their money. Unlike the cars we drive today, the Mercedes-Benz F015 will drive us -- acting as a personal chauffeur so passengers can relax or worry about important things like work, while the automated vehicle worries about the roads. We have to admit, it looks significantly more comfortable than Google's experimental driverless cars. Keeping up with their luxury brand, the car is more of a lounge. Front seats can rotate so passengers can face each other, a touch screen coffee table extends into the middle of the space with just a tap, and touch screen monitors are built into the doors. In case you want to drive the old fashioned way, just swivel around and use the steering wheel and fold away pedals. On the outside, the vehicle communicates with pedestrians and other drivers using lights and vocal cues. If a pedestrian crosses the street in front of the car, a laser will project a crosswalk and a voice will let them know it's safe to cross. The F015 is really just a concept car and will likely never be sold on a car lot, but it may force Google to step up their game. Their current driverless car prototypes look like something out of a retro cartoon, whereas Mercedes' looks like it's straight out of the future.
