Detailed Description

One Owner Truck! Please be aware this truck is sold 100% as is. There will be no returns, refunds, or exchanges. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION! ASK QUESTIONS! This truck was driven 48 miles into us. It has been driven about 300 miles prior to posting. Can be driven back to your location, and may possibly be drivable for long periods of time with no investment. This truck runs flawless. Smooth and Quiet. No running issues whatsoever. Drives smooth and straight on the road. The issue it has is that it slips during takeoff.

I have driven it personally and here is what I have learned.

  • Truck drives perfectly for about 30 minutes when cold.
  • Seems to slip only at takeoff when accelerating 60% throttle or more.
  • Seems to only slip when gear selector is put into the D position.
  • Seems to NOT slip when gear selector is put in 1 or 2, and shifted manually into D.
  • Truck always shifts into each gear.

From my experience and research, this is a common problem, and is most commonly 1 of 2 things:

  • "Shift Pack" Transmission Solenoids.

OR

  • Torque Converter Failure.

This is in no way a promise, or a guarantee that either of those fix the issue. Only sharing my experience.

This is an excellent driver, with plenty of value. This truck will sell well under value, with plenty of money to even re-sale yourself. Minimal investment makes this an easy $7,500+ Truck.

100% AS IS. NO WARRANTIES, NO REFUNDS, NO EXCHANGES.

This truck is available to be test driven anytime between 10am-6pm Mon-Sat at our Circleville, Ohio Location. Please contact us to arrange a time.

We do not ship vehicles ourselves, yet we will happily refer you to local shippers in our area that would happily ship the vehicle for you.

Ohio Customers will pay sales tax based on their county. Out of state customers will need to sign an exemption form and will not need to pay tax.

Please ask any questions you may have!

2016 Scion iA shows its face, for better or worse, in New York [w/video]

Wed, Apr 1 2015

We have a theory that, among auto designers, there's something resembling Stockholm Syndrome. Designers spend so many hours looking at a single product that, after awhile, they can't help but fall in love with it, regardless of how bad it may look to everyone else. That might explain the appearance of the Scion iA, which while largely similar to the handsome Mazda2, replaces that car's attractive five-pointed grille with what could be described as a gaping maw. Fortunately, it's only the Scion grille that really causes any offense. The parts of the iA that have been left to Mazda designers are, as we said, rather handsome. That includes both the attractive rear and the Kodo-derived lines found in the tiny sedan's profile. The cabin, meanwhile, is well outfitted with standard equipment, including a seven-inch touchscreen display. Plastic is the dominant material, although the overall layout is logical and mostly attractive. Have a look at our live gallery of images of Scion's first-ever four-door sedan. Sports Sedan that Shouts Success All-New 2016 Scion iA Rolls Into New York With a Trunk - Brand's first-ever sedan with dramatically sporty look and agile moves - Estimated MSRP in the $16,000-range for well-equipped mono-spec model • High-spirited 1.5-liter engine; estimated 42 MPG highway - Choice of 6-speed stick shift or 6-speed automatic - Standard Low-speed Pre-collision safety system - Roomy cabin with premium amenities - 7-inch multimedia system with voice recognition NEW YORK, March 31, 2015 – Scion is expanding its line-up in more ways than one. In addition to adding a new vehicle to its stable, it's also adding its first-ever sedan, the remarkably sporty, yet very affordable, 2016 Scion iA. The Scion iA sedan joins the all-new 2016 Scion iM hatchback for a one-two punch in the subcompact and compact segments. The new sans-hatch Scion will arrive in dealerships this fall for an estimated MSRP in the $16,000-range. That's for a mono-spec model equipped with standard Low-speed Pre-collision safety system and 7-inch multi-media system with voice activation. Because Scion has a no hassle, no haggle Pure Price, customers walk out the door with the same price they saw posted in the dealership. "Dramatic" could be an understatement when describing the visual impact of the 2016 Scion iA. Beneath the daringly curved sheetmetal lies a tight, agile machine that re-defines "entry level." Call the design "class above," a term that applies throughout the car.

Junkyard Gem: 2004 Mazda RX-8

Tue, Oct 4 2016

You know when a type of vehicle has reached its value tipping point (where it's not worth fixing up a broken or crashed one) when examples of it begin showing up in the big American self-service wrecking yards. During 2016, the BMW Z3 and Mazda RX-8 reached that point and began to appear, just one at a time, here and there, but obviously they were the advance scouts for many to follow. Such cars usually get picked over in a hurry ... at first. Here's a well-stripped example of a first-year RX-8 I found earlier this year in a Denver yard. Some RX-7 owner probably nabbed the Renesis engine right away, and then the guys who grab late-model parts to flog on eBay were next. Still, plenty of interesting components remained on this car when I photographed it, and RX-8s that end up here in a year or two won't get swarmed by the vultures anywhere near as quickly. Does that mean that RX-8s are now cheap enough to race in the 24 Hours of LeMons? Could be! 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata will rock 2.0L SkyActiv engine in US, 1.5L elsewhere

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

Let the speculation finally end - we know what will power the next-generation 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and it's not turbocharged. The US model will get a SkyActiv 2.0-liter engine and six-speed manual, while models in the rest of the world have a 1.5-liter engine, confirming earlier rumors.
Unfortunately, Mazda isn't letting loose how much power either of these mills make just yet. For sake of comparison, the current SkyActiv 2.0 in the Mazda3 produces 155 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque, and the 1.5-liter in the UK (and elsewhere) has about 99 hp and 110 lb-ft of twist. However, the current Miata produces 167 hp and 140 lb-ft.
But fret not droptop fans. The company's brochure from the 2014 Paris Motor Show confirms, "all available drivetrains have been specially tuned for the all-new MX-5," which at least hints at the possibility of more performance. Also, even if the numbers remain untouched, the new Miata should feel even more sporting on the open road. That's because Mazda says the new model weighs in the neighborhood of 2,200 pounds; with that in mind, the 2016 car would boast around 14.19 pounds per horsepower versus 14.85 lb/hp in the present MX-5. Progress!
