This 2003 Mazda Tribute ES is a very clean perfect driver with only 59,990 actual miles.
The vehicle was purchased new by my uncle in Kentucky in 2003 where he owned it until he kindly gave it to me last month. It has been very well maintained, including an inspection and service in Kentucky just before I drove it back to PA. It was our intention (and my uncle's) that we use this as our family car. However, last week my work truck suffered some major mechanical issues, so we have decided to sell the Mazda to fund the purchase of a work truck.
More about the Mazda...
This is a nice vehicle.
It is very comfortable, black leather interior with heated seats (and mirrors), premium audio with cassette and cd, factory rubber floor mats, keyless entry with security alarm, cruise, and all power. Everything works perfectly (except display on sound system).
It drives perfectly straight with great handling and firm, responsive suspension. The 3 liter 24 valve v-6 is powerful, yet fuel efficient.
The exterior is metallic silver with flint. The body is in good condition, with very little rust underneath (see photos: a lot less road salt in Kentucky!). There are some minor dings, from hail damage (pictured) as well as some nicks in the finish.
I think the pictures represent the condition pretty well but feel free to contact me with any questions, or to come take a look. I am in Pittsburgh.
If you are looking for one of these in this area, you owe to take a look at this one.
Available for local pickup only. Purchase requires a Paypal deposit of $400.00 within 24 hours of sale.

2016 Mazda CX-9 caught on video
Sat, Aug 22 2015We already know from earlier spy shots that the second-generation Mazda CX-9 is advancing in development, but here's an opportunity to actually see the crossover on the road. The video shows the CX-9's rear, but wait 50 seconds for a good look at it in profile and from the front. The CX-9 is no longer wearing the same camouflage from the last spy photos, but this time it has more cladding to hide the lines. Even with the obfuscation, you can still get a sense of the general shape. The CUV largely looks like a stretched version of the CX-5, which is a great place to start. Rumors suggest the new CX-9 will debut in November at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show and to launch in 2016 for the 2017 model year. Power is tipped to come from a turbocharged, 2.5-liter Skyactiv four-cylinder, and all-wheel drive is expected to be available. Related Video:
Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?
Thu, 25 Sep 2014People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.
Mazdaspeed3 concept tipped for Frankfurt debut
Tue, Apr 28 2015The last quarter of 2015 could be a big one for Mazda as a report has emerged from Australia claiming that the company will come to the Frankfurt Motor Show in September with a near-production concept of the third-generation Mazdaspeed3, while a second-generation CX-9 will be shown a few months later in Los Angeles. Motoring.com.au ran the initial report, and although the news seems plausible, the outlet doesn't provide sources for either piece of news. Likewise, our friends at Mazda USA refused to comment on "speculation." Speculation it may be, but it's surely tantalizing considering the recent popularity of both the hot hatch and three-row crossover segments. According to the Aussies, the concept Speed3 will quickly evolve into a production model, which will launch alongside a mid-cycle refresh for the current 3. A turbocharged 2.5-liter will spit out 295 horsepower, and could have all-wheel drive. Even if only the front axle is doing the work, the MS3 will easily be able to stand toe-to-toe with hotter half of the segment based on output alone. As for the more mundane offerings, Motoring reports the long-in-the-tooth CX-9 will get a replacement in LA, although it doesn't offer much in the way of details beyond that. It should be interesting to see how the company's Skyactiv philosophy will be implemented on such a large vehicle. Perhaps the biggest surprise from the Australian report, though, are the outlet's reports on the CX-7, which will return sporting a third row of seats after its larger sibling debuts. That'd give Mazda a versatile lineup of four crossovers, with the sub-compact CX-3, the compact CX-5, the midsize, seven-passenger CX-7 and the fullsize CX-9. As we weren't able to confirm any of this with Mazda, we'd still warn that this news should be ingested with grains of salt. Still, it looks like the company could be set to make some waves in the first two shows of the upcoming auto show season.
