2004 Mazda Rx-8 R-2 1308cc Zoom- Zoom on 2040-cars
Westover, Pennsylvania, United States
Up for sale is my 2004 Mazda RX-8. I purchased this car in April 2013 with the intentions of giving it to my daughter. Shortly after I realized that it is way to High Performance for a young girls first car. So my wife and I have been driving it just as a fun weekend car, and it not been driven in winter at all. The RX-8 has a 2 cylinder rotary 1308cc engine with a 4 speed automatic/manual transmission with the paddle shift option. It currently has 130,260 miles, and runs/drives great. I have had it back to the Mazda dealer twice. Once for a new key and key fob, and once to have the driver's seat airbag control module replaced. The exterior paint is fair, with the exception of the front and rear bumper covers which are chipped and cracked. There is also a spot above the fuel tank door which is also peeling. All of these you can see in my pictures, and I could take additional photos if needed. The interior is in good shape other than a burn mark on the drivers seat, however the car has not been smoked in since I have owned it. The A/C, power windows, and power door locks all work as they should. The radio will occasionally stop working, I beleve it to be just a loose connection. Overall the car is in good rust- free condition, as it was originally a Texas registered car when I bought it. It is a very fun car to drive and handles great. The car is for sale locally also, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. The car is available for local pickup, or I can assist the buyer in shipping the vehicle at their expense. I would also consider delivering the car up to 100 miles for an additional fee. Any questions, please feel free to contact me here a Ebay.I check my email on a regular basis and will respond in reasonable amount of time. Thanks for looking , and good luck bidding!

2014 Mazda6 i-Eloop to net 40 mpg hwy, 28 mpg city
Fri, 05 Jul 2013Even before Mazda unveiled the 2014 Mazda6, it had introduced its innovative, non-hybrid i-Eloop (Intelligent Energy Loop) brake regeneration system. This technology converts kinetic energy into usable electricity using the alternator, a DC/DC converter and a capacitor mounted just behind the front fascia. During deceleration, the alternator captures energy that is then stored in the capacitor, which can later be used to directly power electric devices like climate control and audio systems. When i-Eloop power is used, it reduces the load on the engine and helps to conserve fuel.
Now available on the Mazda6, i-Eloop is only available on the $29,695 Grand Touring trim level as a part of the $2,080 GT Technology Package, meaning that buyers desiring i-Eloop will have to spend at least $31,775 (not including destination). The added price of this technology should be worth it for those looking for optimal fuel economy as the i-Eloop, combined with the package's active grille shutters, will bump the sedan's fuel economy numbers up to 28 miles per gallon city and 40 mpg highway - both are improvements of 2 mpg over the standard Mazda6 Grand Touring. The GT Technology Package also includes a Sport mode, lane departure warning, high beam control, radar cruise control and forward obstruction warning - the latter two technologies are currently offered in a $900 package that is being discontinued.
i-Eloop will eventually be offered on other Mazda products including the 2014 Mazda3. Scroll down for the official press release on the Mazda6's fuel-saving i-Eloop technology.
25th Anniversary Edition Mazda MX-5 Miata sells out in 10 minutes
Wed, 21 May 2014Looking to buy one of the limited-edition 25th Anniversary Mazda MX-5 Miata roadsters? Well, you're too late. According to Mazda, all 100 examples of the darling two-seater have sold out - and it only took 10 minutes.
On Tuesday, Mazda opened its pre-order site for the limited-run Miata, and had intended to keep the site running until May 31, or until 250 customers were registered, whichever came first. Just 10 minutes later, 250 people had signed up. Now, Mazda will contact those folks, and the first 100 that are verified will be given the opportunity to pre-order the unique MX-5. "Upon verification of purchase intent and transmission selection, the customer's information will then be forwarded to the dealership of their choosing to finalize the transaction," Mazda said in a press release.
The 2015 MX-5 Miata 25th Anniversary Edition models will arrive at dealers this summer, retailing for $32,205 with the six-speed manual, or $32,655 for those desiring the automatic transmission. Based on the PRHT (Power Retractable Hard Top) model, the limited-edition Miata adds Bilstein shocks, a Soul Red metallic paint job (the same found on the gorgeous Mazda6) with a contrasting black roof, gunmetal wheels and an off-white leather interior. Special badging will be found inside the car, and buyers will also be treated to a custom-crafted Tourneau watch and a display winder box.
2016 Mazda CX-5 keeps it simple
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Take a long, hard look, folks. This is the refreshed 2016 Mazda CX-5, which makes its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show today. And if you're thinking, "Say, that looks just like the old one," you really aren't alone. The visible updates certainly aren't major - Mazda has instead focused on giving the already-good CX-5 some thoughtful upgrades to make it a more attractive package than ever.
Outside, there are some slight changes to the styling, including new LED light signatures at the front and rear, as well as redesigned foglamp housings. Uplevel models also ride on attractive new 19-inch alloy wheels, with a dark finish.
Under the hood, it's all the same. Mazda's Skyactiv 2.0- and 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines carry over, with 155 and 184 horsepower, respectively. Front-wheel-drive, 2.5-liter models get a small bump in fuel economy, too - the CUV is now rated at 26 miles per gallon city and 33 mpg highway, up from 25/32. Models equipped with the automatic transmission now benefit from different drive modes, as well.
