2004 Mazda Rx-8 Coupe 4-door 1.3l on 2040-cars
Fayetteville, North Carolina, United States
2004 Mazda RX-8 4-door COUPE Pretty unique vehicle, very practical for a "sports car." The rear suicide doors are great for accessibility. Fun to drive too. It was idling a bit rough, so I had the engine decarboned using the known process, and it runs much better now, shifts well also. **I bought this vehicle for my brother in law that was overseas, as he requested, turns out he bought a truck in the meantime, so I am STUCK with this car!! I drive it to and from work and it drives very well. I put (4) NEW TIRES on it as soon as I got it, they have less than 300 miles on them now. Like I said, I have too many vehicles so I am SIMPLY selling this one as-is. It has a dent on the left side door and trunk, paint scratches misc locations, all door seal and open/close perfectly, nothing affecting function at all. Purely cosmetic. I was going to have it all repaired but given the circumstance I decided to just sell it as-is. This is an opportunity to purchase a very unique sports car, for a great price! Thanks for looking and I hope you get it asap! All items sold as-is, no warranty, no refund, no exchange, no exceptions. Vehicle pick up is expected within reasonable time. Payment arrangements are expected within a reasonable time as well please. Do not bid if your feedback is less than 10 transaction history, contact me first please. If you bid, and/or win this auction, you will be required to comply with standard contractual obligations that come with policy (actually pay for the vehicle.) Failure to do so will result in notification of the proper agency. Thanks for your bid/interest. Any questions please feel free to contact me asap. Vehicle pick up in person, OR if you are shipping it please make logistical arrangements with me after purchasing so I may render any necessary assistance if needed to the shipper. This vehicle is listed locally, I reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells accordingly. SELLING IT AS IS TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER! MAKE ME AN OFFER AND TAKE IT PLEASE. CLEAR TITLE IN-HAND. |

Mazda plans a new crossover for 2021
Sat, Nov 25 2017If Mazda is going to increase sales, it's going to need more crossovers. According to company CEO Masamichi Kogai, a new crossover that won't cannibalize sales of the CX-3, CX-5, and CX-9 is coming in 2021, to be built at the new U.S. factory Mazda is building in partnership with Toyota. The plant will be able to build 150,000 vehicles per year, and that full capacity will be reserved for the new CUV. With 112,235 units sold, Mazda's best-selling vehicle in the United States last year was, not surprisingly, the CX-5. With that in mind, it seems a safe bet that the new crossover will be a replacement for the discontinued CX-7 to slot above the CX-5 and below the CX-9. Kogai told Automotive News that the vehicle will be designed for America and built exclusively in the States. "We are actually going to introduce a totally new and different type of SUV," said Kogai. We don't know exactly what that means, but we hope the new model line follows Mazda's tradition of crossovers that are more fun to drive than their main competitors. Related Video:
Mazda MX-5 breeds upgraded Roadster RS in Japan
Mon, Oct 5 2015Fans of the new Mazda MX-5 Miata looking for something a little more performance-focused may be enticed by the new RS model. Unfortunately they'll have to go all the way to Japan to get it. Because Mazda will only be offering this particular version back home. The new RS version of the Mazda Roadster (as it's known in Japan) features a number of performance upgrades, although none of them specifically affect the engine or its output. The Roadster RS features Bilstein dampers and front suspension tower brace for better handling, along with bigger brakes for added stopping power, a retuned steering rack for sharper turn-in, and upgraded exhaust for a better sound. Inside it's also been treated to heated Recaro seats with Nappa leather and Alcantara trim and a nine-speaker Bose audio system. It also comes equipped with adaptive front lighting and high-beam control as well as lane-departure and blind-spot warning systems. Feeling left out yet? Don't be too disappointed, or book that ticket to Tokyo's Natita International Airport just yet. The Mazda Roadster RS only comes with the smaller 1.5-liter engine that produces 129 horsepower, which is significantly less than the 2.0L we get here at 155 hp. It does, however, come with the six-speed manual instead of the automatic. So while this may not be the most powerful version of the Miata, it may be the enthusiast favorite – at least in the JDM. Mazda3 sedan revealed by Top Gear Russia [w/poll]
Wed, 03 Jul 2013Thanks to our comrades at Top Gear Russia, the trickling reveal of the Mazda3 sedan has begun. We saw the hatch in person in New York (and loved it), and we wanted to see if the trunked version could hold onto the same mojo. If you like the Mazda6, then you should like the Mazda3 because it takes just about everything from its toothsome big brother and shrinks it into a compact package.
Top Gear Russia was allowed to share photographs of the Mazda sedan they call "Treshka" (or they leaked them, depending on whom you talk to), but not their drive impressions. The site page says it will come in four trims for the Russian market - Drive, Active, Active+ and Supreme - and offer three engines. Our specifications will certainly differ. Other than that, all we have to go on are the looks, which some may argue are even better than the hatch thanks to a trunk line that provides more balance to that long hood up front.
The Mazda3 will go on sale later this year and US prices should be announced in September. For the time being, content yourself with the gallery of high-res images above.
