Hello, I am selling my baby, my 1993 Silver Mazda Rx-7. The car has 66,100 miles on the original Pettit maintained engine. There are thousands of dollars of upgrades and customizations done to the car. I have owned my 93 Rx-7 for 5 years now.  I bought my silver base with dual oil coolers with only having 45,000 miles, it now has 66,000 miles. I have done many upgrades with the help of Cam from Pettit Racing in West Palm Beach Fl. Luckily I live about 30 miles away and make the trip twice a year for maintenance. Since I bought the car I have never had any problem with the car, it came with a Borla exhaust also a custom inner cooler. The engine and turbos are stock, there is a boost gauge on the A pillar that shows a healthy 14lb boost under full throttle. I also upgraded the KYB struts to Pettit Coil overs.  Also the brakes and rotors were upgraded to Pettit Racing slotted rotors and bear break pads. The break lines were upgraded to braided stainless steel as well as the clutch line. The motors compressor was removed and all the vacuum hoses replaced, over flow tank upgraded to aluminum, and a Pettit Racing air separator to deflect hot air away from the air intake was added.   Petit Racing performed all the work, they also recommend that I refresh the shifter and linkage, which was done at the same time.  The rear differential mount was replaced also.  All of these upgrades were done at about 49,000 miles.

Envy Motors added the custom 20 inch TSW Negaros wheels for an aggressive stance. The tires are Toyo Proxes I have about 5500 miles on them have done a great job and have held up great. front 285 30 20 rear 325 25 20 I am also storing the original wheels and tires in a safe dry place.

Audio Creations added a Cobra remote start alarm with 2 way radio key pad, K-40 radar and laser jammers. The stereo jams!  There are 2 Jl Audio 8 inch subs in a custom fiberglass color matched enclosure with a digital Jl 5 channel amp molded into the box all set between the rear struts. Light and clean.
All jl co ax mids and highs as not to cut anything in the car, and an alpine cd head unit with input plug and iphone hook up.

The body, I pained the R1 lip silver, also i deleted the Mazda emblem on the front bumper, and blacked out the corner markers, also the windows are tinted

I drive the car about 100 miles a week and add Protek in every tank of gas to expend the life of the engine, I love driving it and am only selling it to make room for a Nissan GTR.  I hope you enjoy the photos

If you are serious call me and we will talk about all the details. The car runs like a top, does not leak, cold Ac, could be a daily driver if desired. Victor 561 244 6600 this is a land line and I can not respond to text messages Thank you

    Mazda RX-9 could be a 400-hp, 2,900-pound coupe due in 2019

    Wed, Aug 24 2016

Mazda poured fuel on the white-hot rumors of an RX-8 successor with the RX-Vision earlier this year. The long, low rotary-powered coupe was lovely, but as we reported, it wasn't going to happen. But now, there's another chapter in the RX rumormill, and like overnight parts, it's from Japan. Japanese site Holiday Auto claims that Mazda will debut the so-called RX-9 at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. But before that happens, the Zoom-Zoom company will preview the production model with a concept at next year's Tokyo Motor Show. 2017 is important, marking 50 years since Felix Wankel had the screwy idea for his eponymous engine and 40 years after the company's first rotary powered car, the Cosmo, hit the market. Exciting as Holiday Auto's report is, the stats on this long-rumored car are better – via Google Translate, the Japanese site claims the RX-9 will use a 1.6-liter, two-rotor Wankel with a single turbocharger. It's good for around 400 horsepower. Holiday Auto isn't exaggerating when it claims the car could have "bike-like acceleration." As with other Mazda products, a low curb weight is key, which is why engineers are targeting a meager 1,300 kilograms (2,866 pounds) for the production model – that weight should be pretty evenly split, too, thanks to a rear transaxle. So yes, the RX-9 will be stupid fast and extremely agile. But it will come at a cost. And by cost, we mean that the RX-9 will start just south of eight million yen. That's $79,641 at today's rates, or enough to purchase about 2.5 RX-8 R3s, the hardcore handling trim of Mazda's last-gen rotary car. And if Mazda follows Nissan's GT-R pricing model, we'll see a six-figure RX-9 by 2025. When it comes to Mazda rotary rumors, grains of salt are a must. That's doubly true when we're talking about a possible concept that won't debut for over a year. But with the RX-Vision, Mazda showed that it hasn't abandoned rotary power, and with 2017 marking a big anniversary for the technology, it seems unlikely that the company will let the date pass without some acknowledgement. A concept car seems like a solid bet. Related Video:

Mazda RX-7 could return in 2020

    Thu, Feb 19 2015

We like writing about the next Mazda RX-7 because it's like writing about the Chupacabra, Slenderman, or the Florida Skunkape, all of which are imaginary creatures seen by someone who knew someone who had an uncle whose dead great-grandfather's sister took a picture of it, invariably at night, while she was drunk, with her 1933 Kodak Brownie. Autocar is the latest with an RX-7 revival, saying it could come as soon as 2020 to celebrate Mazda's 100th anniversary. Before we get to that, let's take a brief look at RX-7 rumors. In 2009 there was speculation we'd get a concept RX-7 at the Tokyo Motor Show. That same year it was predicted the RX-8 would die to make room for a new RX-7 in 2012. In 2010 Mazda was developing a 300-horsepower rotary for the RX-7 that could run on gasoline or diesel and had better fuel economy and less oil consumption. Then Autocar said we could get the new RX-7 by 2013, a rumor that turned into a new RX-9 based on the Mazda MX-5 Miata platform. In 2012 the potential arrival date had become 2017. In 2013 the company CEO Masamichi Kogai said the equivalent of "Not gonna happen," and he said it again last year, just 90 days ago. It should be clear by now that this car is Mazda's version of the Lotus Esprit. Whew. Now that we're clear on all that, what does Autocar say? That a follow-up to the extinct RX-8 is coming that will sit on the new MX-5 Miata platform, and Mazda's vice president of European R&D said there are still 30 engineers working on rotary engines in partnership with universities. The successor will be front-engined and rear-wheel drive, have either two seats or 2+2 seating, and could be called RX-6, RX-7, or RX-9. That sounds like three distinct statements, only one of which is definitely true, that could possibly just maybe add up to a new RX-7, but could even more likely add up to a rotary-engined concept car that never sees production. We've only got five more years to wait, and since we've been begging at the RX-7 doors this long... Mazda RT24-P brings KODO style to the Rolex 24 at Daytona

    Thu, Nov 17 2016

In addition to its new CX-5 crossover, Mazda revealed its new racecar, the RT24-P, at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The car has been designed for the Daytona Prototype international (DPi) class in IMSA's WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and will make its racing debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona. It was designed using Mazda's KODO design language, which the brand has so successfully applied to its road-going cars. The racer's relation to Mazda's production cars is made obvious by the small five-point grille at the tip of the RT24-P's nose. While plenty of credit needs to go to the stylists and aerodynamicists at Mazda and Multimatic, one of the companies Mazda partnered with on the car, some of the credit needs to go to IMSA's new DPi rules for 2017. The new DPi class is very similar to the LMP2 class that it competes with in the WeatherTech series, with some noteworthy differences. The DPi class allows manufacturers to create unique bodies and engine packages for one of the four chassis available. The LMP2 class requires competitors to use the chassis companies' bodies, and are restricted to one engine package. View 14 Photos As for the powertrain, the Mazda RT24-P uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that puts out roughly 600 horsepower. Mazda used the same engine in its P2-class race car last season. Mazda's body and engine will ride atop a chassis developed by Riley Technologies and Multimatic. You may remember that latter company as the one that developed the awesome spool valve shocks on the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. The RT24-P will be campaigned by Speedsource, a company that has been racing Mazdas in American endurance racing for years, including last year's P2 cars. Considering Mazda's success in making such a cool race car, we're excited to see what other manufacturers do with the extra design freedom of the DPi class. Both Chevrolet and Ford competed last year in the WeatherTech prototype class with Daytona Prototype-style cars, and Honda competed with an LMP-style racer. Depending on what other makes decide, this year's WeatherTech line-up could have some nifty designs.
