Mazda Rx-7 1994 Touring Model. I am the 2nd owner of this Rx-7. Bought this vehicle at a salvage yard with a damaged radiator support, bumper and hood back in 1997. Everything was fixed and got title after inspection. The vehicle has been sitting inside my warehouse for about 10 years. I had this rx-7 for 16 years now. Please take careful look at everything in the pictures provided.

The vehicle right now does not run. It will not crank. I had a rat problem 10 years ago and the rats found a way through the firewall and did damages inside the interior. The carpet and plastic were removed, but some i kept because the damage wasn't so bad. The carpet had a awful rat smell so that was first to go. The rats were able to get into the dash and the vent system so that must be replaced for sure. The wiring underneath the dash will also need to be replaced. They even managed to get into the bose wave system. The exterior has a lot of scratches as shown, but all can be easily fixed. There's also a few dings, but no serious dents.

The Rx-7 has cross drilled rotors and h&r springs. The engine was street ported and runs on Haltech E6S engine management system. I don't really remember much, but I know the last dyno for the vehicle was 483hp to the flywheel. It has a external fuel as shown in picture and a upgraded single turbo.

The engine was rebuilt with only less than 2 miles before the rats took over. The engine is street ported, but can't remember what type of apex seals. The transmission is perfect. Shifting is perfect. The first to go was the starter wire. That was chewed up first so I never bothered to start it up. Then they got into the interior. So that did it for me. The rx-7 sat at the corner of the warehouse for the past 10 years. So before the rats took over the rx-7 was fully functional and running in its prime. So whatever the rats destroyed and you replace or fix it should be back to normal.

Why am i selling? I can't look at it anymore. More I see it the more I have plans for it. I just want to fix it up. So before I get myself into something I shouldn't I thought maybe it's time to let it go. So if you have any questions regarding the vehicle please contact me anytime.

My best suggestion if you're interested. Buy a $2000 Rx-7 with no engine. Transfer all interior and exterior components over. Get a awesome paint job and 19" wheels. Done!

Sell your own: 2012 Mazda CX-9 AWD

Fri, Jun 9 2017

Looking to sell your car? We make it both easy and free. Quickly create listings with up to six photos and reach millions of buyers. Log in and create your free listings. If your only connection to Mazda is the MX-5 Miata, know there's more to the Hiroshima-based carmaker than "zoom" - there's also room. The 3-row CX-9 is the roomiest Mazda, 200 inches long with some 100 cubic feet of cargo space. The CX-9 wasn't Mazda's first stab at a crossover. Its original MPV was more crossover than minivan, with a RWD/AWD platform and – get this! – an available manual trans. While the MPV morphed into a more conventional minivan, Mazda introduced the CX-7, CX-9, CX-5 and – most recently – the subcompact CX-3. Although the CX-7 is no more, the crossover segment remains hot. This for-sale CX-9 is from the model's previous generation. It's also the beneficiary of the last V6, as its more upscale replacement boasts only a turbocharged four. We like both, but the V6 is relatively refined. And this car's price of $16,000 sure beats a new CX-9's $36,000. It's almost $2K above an average selling price, but with a clean Carfax and its 60K major service behind it (and some price flexibility) this CX-9 could provide some voluminous value. Related Video:

Automotive Grade Linux will be the backbone of your connected car

Fri, Jan 6 2017

Creating a backend for a secure, reliable, and expandable infotainment system is costly and time consuming. The Linux Foundation, a non-profit organization, has set out to promote and advance the Linux operating system in commercial products. Automotive Grade Linux, or AGL, is a group within the Foundation that seeks to apply a Linux backend to a number of automotive applications in a variety of vehicles from various suppliers and manufacturers. AGL's goal is to create a common, unifying framework that allows developers and manufacturers to easily implement applications across platforms. Currently, the focus is on infotainment systems, but AGL has plans for instrument clusters, heads-up displays, and eventually active safety software. At CES, a display from Panasonic showed a completely digital and customizable dashboard that allows information and apps to be moved from the gauge cluster to the infotainment screen and back, all through the use of gesture and touch controls. Although the organization has been around for five years, it's really only been in the past three that the group has been working hand in hand with automakers and suppliers. The first two OEMs to participate, Toyota and Jaguar Land Rover, have since been joined by Mazda, Suzuki, Ford, and, as of this week, Daimler. The latter is important as until now most of AGL's partner's have been based in Japan or the US. Other partners include suppliers Denso, Renesas, Continental, Qualcomm, and Intel. AGL want's to supply roughly 80 percent of the backend, allowing partners to then finish and refine the Linux system for each individual application. Think of how the Android operating system is refined and customized for individual smartphones from Samsung, LG, and Motorola. While the final product looks different, developers can have an application that will work across all AGL systems. Because it is open source, anyone can use and develop for AGL. You can even go onto the group's website and download a copy right now. There is also a software development kit available that helps facilitate app creation on the platform. Vehicle development cycles take roughly five years, so there currently are no cars that run an AGL backbone available for consumers. AGL Executive Director Dan Cauchy says products should be hitting the market later this year, with even more coming in 2018. Right now, the industry is relatively fragmented when it comes to infotainment and related systems.

Best compact SUVs of 2022

Thu, Oct 20 2022

Compact SUVs are now the go-to choice for family transportation. Actually, considering how popular they are, they have clearly moved beyond only family duty. With such popularity, though, comes an awful lot of competitors, and it can be difficult to figure out which one might be the best compact SUV for you.  It's important to note that by "compact SUV" we're talking about a specific segment. As we describe in our more comprehensive "Best small SUVs" list, there are also subcompact SUVs that vary widely in size amongst themselves, but are clearly smaller than the SUVs below. Frankly, today's segment of compact SUVs isn't exactly compact — some have more cargo space than vehicles that are considered midsize based on their exterior dimensions. They've all grown considerably over the years. While many lists out there just rattle off every vehicle available in a segment, we thought we'd be a bit more helpful and curate your shopping a bit with the top-recommended choices reviewed by Autoblog. We've included both mainstream and compact luxury SUV choices. Best compact SUVs of 2023 and 2024 2024 Honda CR-V Why it stands out: Best-in-class space; excellent hybrid powertrain; sharp interior style; Honda dependabilityCould be better: No lower-price base trim levels; no sporty or off-road niche models; no plug-in hybrid Read our full 2024 Honda CR-V Review Consider the CR-V the baseline for any compact SUV search, and look extra closely at the superb CR-V Hybrid option. Objectively speaking, it's tough to beat due to its massive cargo capacity, voluminous back seat, strong-yet-efficient engines, well-balanced driving dynamics, competitive pricing and features,  and well-regarded reliability. It's easy to see why it continues to be such a best-seller: for the vast majority of compact SUV buyers, and especially families, it checks every box. That's been the case for many years now, however. The all-new 2023 Honda CR-V changes things up by adding a bit more style and character, particularly in terms of its interior design and how surprisingly enjoyable the Sport and Sport Touring hybrid trim levels are to drive.
