For sale is my 1994 Rx7 Twin Turbo for sale with only 465 exact miles on the brand new engine chassis has just a tad over 94k. . Just found out my wife is blessing me with a child so this car has to go! Tachometer has not been over 3000 rpm and is still breaking in, should support 400+ hp with new unbreakable ALS seals. I expect the person who buys this will respect the engine build and give the engine at least an additional 1000 miles before giving it significant boost.

The car also has an extremely fresh several thousand dollar paint job with a glass-like clearcoat. The interior is extremely clean! Suede seats are in perfect condition with no fading or wear of any type. Brand new black carpet and floor mats. Dashboard and door panels are perfect. The car still has the factory spare tire in the trunk. Engine has NO modifications except for k&n air filters. Factory exhaust still in place with the pre-cats so she is extremely quiet at idle. The rebuilt Twin Turbos do not smoke either which is a huge plus if you know these cars.

Entire car was lined with dynamat to reduce exterior noise and increase audio quality. Rear MazdaSpeed chassis sway bar is installed for increased rigidity. Wheel wells and underbody all freshly sealed with protective undercoat when the vehicle was ready for paint. $3000 tire & SSR wheel Combo (tires are brand new and go for nearly 300 each). Interior modifications include a REAL removable Sparco steering wheel with matching suede inserts. A billet aluminum handbrake handle. Aluminum door side rail guards and an amazing sound system which includes a custom flush 2 subwoofer panel with a matching panel with dual JBL amplifiers. Its truly a turnkey show car with speed. This was never intended to be a race car but a true collector vehicle that is now looking for someone who will have time for it. This is my second Rx7 and I can tell you for a fact that she is extremely clean and probably cleaner than any other rx-7 i have seen in person.

This car has a clean carfax, no accidents, never had any dents and as you can see, and appears flawless. The wheels fenders have never been rolled and the suspension has never been altered. Again- the car is unmolested except for K&N air filters. As it sits it has a brand new engine, smooth shifting transmission with no grinds, strong clutch assembly and a paint job that looks amazing. The interior is clean and perfect and all this for a fraction of what it takes to build a duplicate. You simply cant build this car for anything less. All in all its a great car, but being in my mid 30's with a family its just taking space in the garage and will not get the attention it deserves.  See the videos below

Issues:

-Handbrake light sometimes stays on even with the handle down. The handbrake screw needs to be adjusted. Simple fix

-Odometer stopped showing mileage. This is a VERY common issue that costs about $99 to be fixed from several many companies or $5 if you fix it yourself. Its essentially a burned out capacitor in the read of the odometer itself. Be rest assured this IS the OEM dashboard and is fine, nothing is broken, the backlight works but the odo numbers dont appear and like i said- very common. Google it and you will see.  If you need references for this, let me know and I can help you

-There is no stereo head unit- Amplifiers and speakers all in place and in-tact but the headunit is not available for the car and has been sold.  All you simply need is your headunit of choice and plug it up.

-Horn does not work- Due to the aftermarket steering wheel, the button and the sensor below the button need to be tweaked in order for the horn to work. Simple fix if you have the time and a few minutes to adjust with a screw driver.

Consumer Reports digs Mazda3, disses Jeep Cherokee

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

Consumer Reports has just rendered its verdict on two of the more important cars to launch this year - the Mazda3 and the Jeep Cherokee. Considering the value a "Recommended" rating carries with the public and the viciously competitive markets these two cars compete in, Consumer Reports' view could have some impact on their initial success.
For Mazda, that's a good thing. CR spoke quite highly of the Zoom-Zoom brand's compact sedan and hatch, testing both models, and citing the excellent fuel economy and snickety-snack manual shifter as high points. Downsides to the 3 included a ride that is agile but "nervous," a bit too much noise and a cramped back seat. Still, the 3 was good enough to earn its place in the ranks of the "Recommended."
The Jeep didn't fare quite so well, with CR calling the polarizing CUV "half-baked." Although both engines were tested, the magazine called the 2.4-liter four-pot underpowered and its nine-speed automatic unrefined and unresponsive. That's particularly damning, considering the 9AT's role in future Chrysler products, including the extremely important 200. Overall, the Cherokee missed out on the coveted "Recommended" rating.

Mazda6, Honda CR-V and an Autoblogger's BMW Z3 | Autoblog Podcast #620

Fri, Mar 27 2020

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by West Coast Editor James Riswick and Road Test Editor Zac Palmer. First, they talk about the cars that have been in their driveways, like the Mazda6, Lexus UX 250h and Honda CR-V, as well as Riswick's own BMW Z3 (where he actually recorded the podcast from). Then they discuss the news, which includes car dealers moving to digital commerce and other updates about — you guessed it — coronavirus, and how it's affecting the automotive industry. Finally, they take to Twitter to help a follower choose a weekend convertible for long, isolated drives in this week's "Spend My Money" segment. 2019 Mazda Miata officially announced with 181 horsepower

Wed, Jun 20 2018

It turns out the rumors and leaks are true. The 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata will indeed get a slight performance increase. This fall, the car's naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four will make 181 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. That's a 26 horsepower and 3 pound-feet bump over the 2018 model. It may not sound like a lot on paper, but consider the fact that it's a nearly 17 percent increase in power in a car that weighs just 2,332 lbs. When the current ND generation debuted a few years back, the Miata actually took a slight hit to power. It was offset by a sizable weight loss program, but it didn't stop people from making a fuss. These days, it's not often that a newer model actually loses power compared to the outgoing car. The new car now makes roughly the same power as the old turbocharged Mazdaspeed MX-5 from 2004. Peak power for the 2019 model comes at 7,000 rpm while peak torque arrives at 4,000 rpm. That's 1,000 more and 600 fewer revs respectively. The Miata's redline is now 7,500 rpm, up from 6,800. It should make the car feel more lively through the rev range and should drop the car's 0-60 mph time back under 7 seconds. The 2019 model only weighs 7-pounds more than the outgoing model, so it's essentially a non-issue. In order to get the extra juice, Mazda engineers did some significant work to the engine's internals. Piston mass has been reduced 27 grams while the connecting rods are down 41 grams. The exhaust system and inner exhaust manifold have been modified to reduce pumping losses by 30 percent. The intake and fuel injectors have been changed, too. A new dual-mass flywheel replaces the single-mass unit. This should help better manage engine vibrations and responsiveness. Lastly, the final drive ratio has been increased from 3.454 to 3.583. Other gear ratios remain unchanged. There are other minor but welcome changes for 2019. The steering wheel now telescopes, a boon for drivers with long legs. The doors are easier to open and feature revised door stops. The cupholders and seat levers have both been updated. Finally, there are new 17-inch wheels and a new brown canvas soft top. How all these changes will affect the car remain to be seen. While many people have been clamoring for more power, some of us here at Autoblog feel the Miata may lose some of its current character with such a significant shift in power and torque. Either way, we're as excited as ever to get behind the wheel. Related Video:
