Hello,

Up for sale, 1988 Mazda RX7.

Let me start off by saying that this is a very mint example of an RX-7. The shape of this vehicle is so good, the steering wheels shows no wear AND with absolutely every feature working. To find one, in the condition that this one is, is not an everyday thing. It is just beautiful and it does not need a thing to drive.

Now, the vehicle has little over 70,000+ miles. Running, and driving in superb shape. Never skipping a beat. Will make it across the country and back if desired.

It is as original as they came, with all components in working order.

To be very detailed, some features are:

*Intact trim pieces. Radio bezel, cluster surround, vents, warning lights.. You name it, it's there.
*Owners manual
*Original OEM working factory radio with equalizer.
*The adjustable strut dampeners (Standard, sport, and highway sport) work flawlessly.
*Working A/C
*Power steering
*Power locks
*Power windows
*Cruise control
*Factory LSD rear end
*Sunroof
*Factory wheels
*Factory exhaust

And best of all, non smoker! Interior is in great shape all the way around.

Engine and transmission work flawlessly and without pop outs, grinds, or whines.

Up to date maintenance. just a few miles ago. Oil change, oil filter, spark plugs, wires, radiator cap, air filter, and coolant system flush.

Paint is in very good condition, without any fading, and body is without any rust. See for yourself in the pictures.

The only reason I am selling this vehicle is because I have found something else that I would like to get.

For more information, or to set up an appointment, please contact me trough message, and I'll provide you with my number.

Mazda just restored the 787B's forgotten older brother

Fri, Aug 12 2016

Among Mazda's many racecars, none is as famous as the 787B, and for good reason. The 787B remains the only Japanese car and the only rotary-powered car to win overall at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It wasn't Mazda's only successful endurance racer, though. Before the 787B, there was the 767B. Mazda's 767B racecars competed in the IMSA GTP class at endurance races throughout 1989. They featured 630-horsepower four-rotor engines and were very successful in their class. This newly restored car took first and second place class finishes in five of the six races it participated in, and each finish was in the overall top ten. The one exception was a DNF in which the transmission failed. Twenty-five years after the 767B's glory days, Mazda initiated a complete teardown and restoration of the aged car. The work was done by Downing Atlanta and supervised by former Mazda racers Rick Engman and Jim Downing. (Fun fact: Downing was one of the designers of the HANS device.) The shop has also restored other racecars for Mazda, including one of the 787Bs. The car went through a two-year rehab and will make its track re-debut at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion. The event takes place next weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca where the track will once again feature the angry shriek of a competition-grade rotary engine. Mazda begins building Mazda3 in Mexico for US

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

With fluctuations in international currencies and rising shipping costs to take into account, foreign automakers can't get away with building cars overseas and selling them in North America as easily as they used to. Particularly with inexpensive mainstream models. And given the benefits of cheaper labor and free trade under NAFTA, many have opted to assemble their cars for the North American market in Mexico. That's why the likes of Toyota, Mercedes and BMW have all opened plants in Mexico. And now Mazda has followed suit.
Ground was initially broken for Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operations at Salamanca in the state of Gunajuato back in 2011, but production has just now gotten under way. The first vehicle to roll off the line? A Mazda3 sedan destined for the United States. Soon, the plant will begin production of the next Mazda2 as well, selling it alongside its larger counterpart across the Americas and in Europe as production expands to 230,000 units annually. Mazda mulling furniture, designer goods in bid to command higher prices

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

Brands like Porsche and Ferrari make a mint every year by selling branded lifestyle goods like shoes, hats and even wilder items. Bugatti takes things to the extremes with things like its $84,000 belt buckle. These products not only make their respective companies some extra money, but they reaffirm their high-end design aspirations to wealthy buyers. However, the next firm possibly dipping its toe into this upscale pool is a bit more mass-market - Mazda.
That's right. The Japanese automaker best known among enthusiasts for its segment-defining Miata and rotary engines is considering its own line of luxury goods in the coming years called Mazda Design. The project is the brainchild of styling boss Ikuo Maeda, and according to Automotive News, he has backing from company CEO Masamichi Kogai. Although the green light isn't quite on yet, Maeda is already brainstorming. "Not only furniture, but I'd like to build a Mazda Design brand. That's my dream," he said to Automotive News.
The possible project is just one aspect of Mazda's move to become a near-premium brand. According to Automotive News, it wants to see higher transaction prices partially by offering more stylish design than its rivals. Launching a line of luxury goods is meant to communicate this new focus to customers.
