Hey Guy's up for sale is an Original California 1 owner SA22C GS with 55,700 original miles this is the one you want great color option and it's a GS. This SA has always been garaged kept, it has Original Grey paint and the Black interior is in perfect shape best dash I've ever seen, the seats have always been covered in sheep skin covers to preserve them. It has the upgraded $250 factory waffle wheel option. The owner has babied the SA it's whole life doing regular maintenance and smog checks every two years and yes it still passes smog. The SA has never been touched since the 80's besides maintenance it's a true time capsule.

Here are the only things that has been touched by the original owner the rear section has been filled in with a continuous reflector very well done it was completed when he first purchased the car it has a 3 piece Mariah wing, 80's EQ under the stock Clarion radio, 80's tweeters in the doors and upgraded speakers in rear side panels. The owner also installed a custom fiberglass spoiler that looks really cool and matches the wing perfectly. The SA still has some old school Pirelli P6 tires that are were discontinued in the 90's to show you that he never drove it much. Other then that the car has never been repainted, crashed or any major modifications i.e. engine rebuild, transmission rebuild etc. Here are some extra parts that are coming with it original mirror's and an Original Mazda Rx7 Bra.

Some back history on the SA it was purchased from a Musician when he received his first record deal the band was the Bus Boys you might remember the song "The boys are back in town" from 48 Hours the movie or Eddie Murphy Delirious. Hence the reason why it has and EQ with RCA cables to a Tape player bracket and upgraded speakers installed.

Another great thing who ever purchases it will be the second owner of this true Gem as the title is clear and signed and ready to go. The SA currently drives great it pulls nice and smooth the only thing I noticed was the clutch feel's really high might just be an adjustment and the choke cable does not work. I currently just have some quick un detailed pictures of the SA if you need more just email me

I wanted to clarify that it is an original paint job but when they modified the rear section they did have to blend the paint and again this was done in the 80's.

I just took to Seven Stock this past Saturday about a 100 mile round trip. It was a great time and a real joy to drive such an amazing Rx7. People where truly amazed in the condition and such low miles for the age of this SA.

I reserve the right to end the auction early and sell locally. Buy with confidence I have 100% feedback with over 430 transactions.

Mazda pits 2016 MX-5 Miata against the original

Fri, Jun 19 2015

Mazda has toiled admirably to keep the latest MX-5 Miata true to the spirit of the original. But just how close did the team come? To find out, the Japanese automaker brought two bookending examples of its iconic roadster down to a racetrack in Spain and put them in the hands of a couple of endurance racing drivers – Jade Paveley in the original, Owen Mildenhall in the new model. Whichever crossed the finish line first at the end of one lap would win. And because 25 years of progress wouldn't exactly make it a fair match, they gave the original a four-second head start. Watch the video above to see how it went down. Related Video:

Junkyard Gem: 1989 Mazda MX-6 GT Turbo

Fri, Nov 18 2016

The Mazda MX-6 is best-known in the United States as the sibling (or maybe first cousin) of the Ford Probe, which almost became the successor to the Fox Mustang. The MX-6 and Probe were well-engineered and very quick for the era, but never enjoyed great American-market sales success. Here's a rare first-generation MX-6 GT that I photographed last week in a Denver self-service yard. 145 turbocharged horsepower was pretty good for 1989, when a new Honda Prelude Si had 135 horses and the far more expensive BMW 325i ($24,650 for the 325i coupe versus $14,499 for the MX-6 GT Turbo) had 168. This one doesn't have the optional four-wheel steering, but it does have the three-way adjustable suspension. If you drove a turbocharged car in 1989, you needed a nine-band equalizer with analog sliders on the radio. It was the law. It's not rusty, but at 205,575 miles it's worn out. The Japanese-market version was known as the Capella C2, and it boasted some great TV commercials. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. As always, the US-market TV ads are less interesting than their Japanese counterparts. Why a production Mazda Koeru won't be a Subaru Outback clone

Wed, Dec 9 2015

No automaker has had a hit quite like the Outback Many have entered, few have won. The Subaru Outback is one of those automotive bogeys that competitors seek to imitate but never quite capture. Mazda is poised to change that, its CEO tells Automotive News, with a production version of the Koeru concept. We're torn on whether this attempt will be the one to do it, whether the proposed model is truly aimed at the Outback, or whether it's just another pale imitation destined for failure. While the ingredients are pretty basic – wagon-like shape, extra cladding, a smidge more ground clearance than a regular car – no automaker has had a hit quite like the Outback. Reasons include packaging issues, poor brand fit, and Subaru's seemingly unstoppable momentum in building all-wheel-drive archetypes. That hasn't stopped a bunch of companies from trying. And now for a list: Ford attempted with the Freestyle/Taurus X; note that that model no longer exists, having been replaced de facto by the Flex and the newly crossover-ified Explorer. Audi discontinued the A4 Avant and slapped the Allroad badge and some fender flares on to capture the affluent outdoorsy crowd, initially selling well but now down 40 percent since last year. The humpback Honda (Accord) Crosstour and Toyota Venza could also be considered Outback-apers, as both short-lived models took sedan bodies and added a hatch and optional all-wheel drive. Dodge got into this space a few years back with the Journey Crossroad trim level, but fake brush guards and black wheels do not an Outback make. Volvo has perhaps come closest with the XC70, a not-quite-crossover that it nevertheless brands like its other crossovers. It helps that the Volvo die-hard and the repeat Subaru buyer aren't too different. Most of these models no longer exist, and the ones that do haven't sold as well as Subaru's Outback so far this year. Even if you're generous and add all 96,718 Journey sales (and not just those for the Crossroad, which FCA doesn't break out separately) to V70/XC70, Venza, and Crosstour, it still doesn't equal the 136,227 Outbacks Subaru pushed through November of 2015. And, as Automotive News points out, Mazda hasn't sold that many crossovers so far this year (the number is 129,932 thanks to huge CX-5 numbers). So why is Mazda considering going after the hallowed Outback? First off, we're not sure that it is because there's the question of what tiny niche this vehicle would occupy. "It's a totally new car.
