You are bidding on a 2006 MazdaSpeed 6 AWD.  The car has 95k miles and it's a rare find! The MazdaSpeed 6 was only in production for 2 years (2006 & 2007).  The MazdaSpeed 6 is known as the fastest-accelarating and most-advanced sports sedan that Mazda has ever built. The 2.3L Inline 4 Turbo engine produces 274 horsepower and goes 0-60 in about 6 seconds. The way this car handles, makes for a great combination of sport & comfort. I recently purchased this car as an extra car for my wife & I to have in order to commute to and from work. My wife ended up transferring closer to home, and now we have an extra car that we no longer need. The car is very reliable and drives great. As you can see, it does have a rebuilt title meaning it passed necessary inspections in order to be eligible for registration. When I first got the car, I was told that there was water damage, however there was no sign whatsoever of this.  I have posted the original picture of how the car looked when I first got it, before inspections.

EXTERIOR CONDITION

Overall the exterior looks very nice. The color is shiny! The black hood and rear spoiler are done with Plasti Dip paint which peals right off without leaving any residue in case you don't like the look.  The wheels on the car are 18" in okay condition and the tires are Pirelli with only 5k miles on them. The tires are like new! I will also include the original MazdaSpeed wheels which are in nice shape, however need new tires.

There are a few imperfections: The front bumper has a small tear on the bottom right in the middle. There is a small ding on the driver's side door (tiny; looks like a rock chip). There was some rust starting to form on the bottom of both of the rear doors. I cleaned this up and I sealed it with POR-15 which is supposed to stop rust. At the same time, I did the undercarriage of the car which was rust free. I decided to do this as a precaution as I was planning to drive the car during winter as well. Also, there is a scratch on the rear bumper on the driver's side.

INTERIOR CONDITION

The interior is in great condition as you can see from the pictures. Everything works as it should; the radio is 10x better than in my Subaru STI.

Some minor issues: One of the illuminating lightbulbs on the heater switch is out. There is some glue left over on the dashboard which I could not remove. It seems like it was leftover from what I'm assuming was a GPS. There is a tear in the rear leather seats, however as you can see in the pictures, I have already purchased and am including the new bottom cushion seat that is in perfect condition.

MECHANICAL CONDITION

The car runs smoothly; the engine runs strong. The turbo spools up nicely; it doesn't burn oil. The turbo was changed under warranty when the car was under 30k miles.  It's all stock except for the cold air intake. The transmission shifts nicely in all gears.

Recent service done: I replaced the engine oil, transmission oil, transfer case oil, & differential oil. All fluids used were synthetic. I also replaced the rear shocks.

One item that needs attention is when I was replacing the shocks, I noticed that the rear sway bar end links need to be replaced soon. When you go over sharp bumps, they started to rattle after the shocks were replaced since the car is stiffer now. This is a quick $50 fix and probably half an hour of work. I might even do this prior to the end of this listing.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

The vehicle is being sold in AS-IS condition with no warranty. The BUYER is responsible for pick up or shipping of the vehicle. Payment is due upon pick up. Cash, Wire Transfer, or Certified Cashier's Check only! Please note that funds will need to be verified prior to the release of the vehicle.

100th Anniversary 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata announced for sale in the U.S.

Mon, Jun 29 2020

The 100th Anniversary Special Edition Mazda MX-5 Miata will be sold in the U.S. When Mazda initially announced all of its 100th Anniversary vehicles, U.S. availability was still questionable for Mazda’s roadster. ThatÂ’s no longer the case, as the company announced all the details on the car today. ItÂ’s going to be based off the Grand Touring trim, so itÂ’s outfitted with the maximum amount of equipment. Those that purchase one will be able to choose from either the traditional soft top or an RF version. The soft top is red, while the RF gets a black-painted roof. Every last one of them will be painted in Snowflake White Pearl Mica and feature red accents throughout. Mazda plans on making them with both manual and automatic transmissions. We asked how many will be available, but Mazda told us it isn't sharing that information yet — limited edition Miatas tend to sell out quick. On the exterior, the front fender gets a “100 Years 1920-2020” badge. Wheel center caps for the 17-inch dark-silver wheels also have the 100th Anniversary logo on them, but thatÂ’s it for the exterior. The inside is where Mazda really had its fun. Full red leather seats and red carpeting pop and make this interior unlike any other Miata on sale today. Both the headrests and the floor mats feature 100th Anniversary logos, and as a finishing touch, Mazda put together a special 100th Anniversary key fob that is embossed with the same logo and comes presented in a special edition box. Since this car is based on the Grand Touring, you get performance goodies like Bilstein dampers, limited-slip differential, front shock tower brace and sport-tuned suspension. Of course, it needs the proper six-speed manual transmission to get all of that. From a cost perspective, you only pay a small price for the special edition car. With the soft top and six-speed manual, it totals $33,615. ThatÂ’s just $1,000 more than an identically-equipped regular MX-5 Grand Touring. An RF with the manual totals $36,370, which again, is just $1,000 more than the standard RF. The difference is the same with the automatic transmission Miatas. A soft top auto costs $34,140, while an automatic RF costs $35,695. Mazda says the special edition Miatas will be arriving in dealerships “later this year.” Related Video:

Mazda books first yearly profit in half-decade, NA still a drag

Tue, 30 Apr 2013

Automotive News reports Mazda has posted its first annual profit in five years. The company made $364.3 million in the last fiscal year, following a $1.14 billion loss the year prior. Operating profit also jumped up by $91.3 million to $572.8 million, thanks in part to a revenue increase of 8 percent to $23.42 billion.
But the news isn't all rays of sunshine. North America continues to be a problem for Mazda where the automaker posted yet another loss. The manufacturer lost $519.1 million last year, up from $427.8 million the year prior. While the launch of the CX-5 helped see US sales increase by 2 percent to 273,000 vehicles, the region as a whole bought up 372,000 units. Mazda had predicted closer to 380,000 units.
Even so, Mazda says it should have North America back in the black by next year, with the company forecasting a sales increase of 11 percent to 415,000 units in the region. That's thanks in part to a boost from the redesigned Mazda6 sedan.

2020 Mazda CX-30 Review & Buying Guide | The new sporty

Thu, Mar 12 2020

Is it a sporty crossover? Is it a tall hatchback? However you want to view it, the new 2020 Mazda CX-30 is a compelling new entry that delivers the sort of engaging driving experience and premium cabin environment you get in the company's 3 hatchback, but with the higher seating position of a crossover. Basically, if that Mazda3 had a child with the bigger CX-5, this is pretty much what you'd get, and we have to say it's a pretty good kid.   In terms of size, the CX-30 fits into a niche of in-betweener SUVs that slots between compact models like the CX-5 (plus the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, etc.) and sub-compact ones like the Mazda CX-3 (plus the Honda HR-V, Hyundai Kona, etc.). If you don't have small children, and the car seats and strollers that come with them, it's a size that should make sense. The price is compelling too, especially when you consider the CX-30's high-end cabin and just how terrific it is to drive. With its tautly tuned chassis, communicative steering and sharp throttle response, the best words to describe it are "budget Porsche." Now, we should note that the Mazda3 is even better to drive and pretty much offers the same cabin space, design and quality. We also think it looks better. Nevertheless, people like sitting up high, and the CX-30 definitely satisfies that requirement. What's new for 2020? The Mazda CX-30 is an all-new model. What's the CX-30's interior and in-car technology like? Like the Mazda3 with which it shares so much, the CX-30's cabin makes you go "wow" considering its price and the vehicles with which it competes. Whatever trim level you're considering, the key to this wow factor is how Mazda's new dash design scheme removes visual clutter by reducing switchgear and effectively hiding air vents and door handles. It's then augmented by standard two- or three-tone color schemes – cars with cloth or leatherette vinyl upholstery are accented with black and blue dash/door trim, while those with leather get black and brown. For a car in the $20,000-$30,000 range, it looks and feels special. It's also of a high quality and quite functional. The steering wheel, which looks sensational, is an absolute treat to hold and has intelligently designed buttons/switches for the infotainment and cruise controls. There's considerable center console space, including a configurable under-armrest bin, and a decently sized forward bin for a smartphone.
