2005 Mazda 6 (Sport) Sedan 2.3 4 Cylinder ENGINE !!!! POWER WINDOWS TIPTRONIC TRANMISSION 4 CYLINDER (GREAT ON GAS) POWER SEATS CD PLAYER LEATHER INTERIOR AND MUCH MORE! Car runs and starts right up and has new battery however was in a recent accident with damage to front end. Ive owned this car since 2006 and purchased it with 4k miles on it so it was pretty much brand new. As far as I am aware this car was never in an accident before other than this one a few months ago when my wife was driving. ENGINE was not hit in accident. Only replaced bumper, hood, lights and fender as you can see in the pictures. A/C works, tires are run flat and half lots of life. Check engine light is not currently on but does come on randomly. Recently the car is shifting weird and when we did a diagnosis it showed "SHIFT SOLENOID STUCK OPEN" After doing some research and speaking to my mechanic this is causing the shifting issues and should be easy to repair by a mechanic. Car idles a little rough and needs a bit of TLC but CAN be brought back. Please be advised that you are NOT buying a new car however I am sure someone can bring it back to good running condition with a bit of TLC perfect project car or if you want to save some $$$. Also great for your kids first car and excellent on gas once repaired. Interior is in decent condition but could use some cleaning (see pictures). Title in hand and ready for new owner. I started the car up today and was able to drive it however shifting gears feels a little rough. Currently has HID light kit installed as well. Please look at pictures and judge condition for your self. Local pick up or buyer will have to cover shipping costs. |

Masamichi Kogai new Mazda president and CEO
Fri, 10 May 2013There's some executive rearranging going on in the top suite at Mazda Motor Corporation in Japan, with current CEO Takashi Yamanouchi telling reporters there "I'd like to hand over the work to younger people" now that the company has returned to profitability. Yamanouchi became CEO on November 19, 2008 of an independent Mazda that had to fight for its future in the immediate aftermath of the global financial crisis. What followed was four years of losses before finally getting back to black last year.
Masamichi Kogai (pictured) will be appointed the new president and CEO on June 25, pending approval at the company's annual general shareholders' meeting. Kogai assisted Seita Kanai with the production-efficiency initiative that Mazda called Mono Tsukuri Innovation, which worked to give export-dependent Mazda the best chance at profitability in spite of a rising yen. Kogai, lately in charge of production and purchasing, has been with the company since 1977 and worked in areas from R&D to logistics.
Kanai, who headed the Mono Tsukuri effort and was among the leadership on Skyactiv, will be promoted from executive vice president to vice chairman. Akira Marumoto will become executive VP of Mazda and assistant to new president Kogai. Yamanouchi will remain Chairman of the Board. There's a short press release below to make it official.
Modded budget Mazda Miata takes on new Porsche Boxster in more challenges
Tue, 23 Sep 2014Earlier this month, our friends across the pond at Auto Express released the first in a two-video series that would see them try and build up a second-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata that could best a standard Porsche Boxster around the track. While that first video detailed the mods to the MX-5 - a supercharger, some suspension upgrades and a new set of super-sticky rubber being chief among them - and set baseline lap times for the stock car, today, we have the results of the 5,000-pound ($8,200) upgrade job.
Of course, we aren't going to spoil those for you. You'll need to watch the full video, which recaps the upgrades before digging into a comparison of both straight-line-speed differences between the 2.7-liter Porsche Boxster and blown Miata, as well as their behavior and lap times on the track.
Take a look and let us know what you think in Comments.
2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata first in-car observations
Sun, 07 Sep 2014We've had few days to digest the all-new 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata since the roadster was first revealed on Wednesday evening when we offered you our first impressions. Since that time, we've gone back and looked at the car a number of times in person here in California, and we've even seen it briefly run under its own power (okay, it was more of a saunter). What we didn't get the chance to do at the reveal, however, was sit inside the car. We've since been able to remedy that, and while we haven't been allowed to drive the new roadster, we do have some initial in-car impressions to share with you.
First, the location and feel of the major controls is quite excellent. The three-spoke steering wheel is an MX-5 specific item - it's not shared with any other Mazda. That's vital, because others would likely be too big in diameter or have the wrong rim thickness. The wheel's redundant controls seem to be well laid out and the airbag boss is very small. The column tilts, but unfortunately and somewhat inexplicably, it still doesn't telescope.
Pedals are well-spaced, and the six-speed manual has the same short throws and positive engagement that we've come to know and love.
