This Miata is in amazing condition. Everything works 100%, and I mean 100 %. You can see by my feedback history, for over 15 years, I don't paint a pretty picture if it isn't true. There is nothing I can say negitive about the performance. It runs like it has 100 miles on it. I am 54 years old. The last guy that had it was 61 years old. the guy before that was 70 years old and only sold it to buy one with a automatic because his legs were to bad to push in the clutch. The only things I can point out that bothers me is the rear bumper has a  little dot about the size of a pencil eraser that was touched up and it has an area that had a scratch and was blended when repaired. The only reason I am selling is, we need a convertible with a rear seat. This Miata must have about every option on it that was available. The MSRP was $25,650.00. It was purchased new at Faulkner Mazda in Harrisburg, pa. It has always been in and around that area. As you can see by the pictures I don't think it was ever in the salt. If it was it was very few times. I will not ship this vehicle. If the winning bidder needs it shipped it is fully up to them.  The worst gas mileage I ever got on this was 27.7 mpg and the best was 33.4 mpg. Please ask any questions you have. Here is a list of what has been done in the last year.

August 14, 2013... New tires and alignment @ 39,345 MILES
August 15, 2013... Trans oil changed, rear oil changed, spark plugs & wires, fuel filter, oil & filter, PCV valve @ 39,376 miles.
October 8, 2013... Brake fluid, slave cylinder / clutch fluid, anti freeze @ 41,584 miles.
April           2014... PA state inspection and emission test. All past 100 %
June      5, 2014... Oil & filter change, rotated tires @ 45,095 miles.

If you are the winning bidder Please pay a $500.00 deposit on PAYPAL and the balance at or be for delivery with cash or certified check.

Thanks. Chuck.

Top Gear recounts the fiery demise of the Mazda Furai

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

This past September we reported on Top Gear's destruction of the Mazda Furai, one of the finest concept cars to ever grace an auto show stage. It turns out that the Furai, which was burned nearly beyond recognition at the hands of the British magazine, was actually destroyed back in 2008, and that the entire thing had been covered up for five long years.
Now, a few months after publishing that heart-wrenching composite of a half-baked Furai (shown above), the lads at TG have published their account of just what resulted in a priceless concept car being transformed into a smoking hulk on a Suffolk runway. Click over to read the full story about just what happened, along with pictures of the Furai before, during and after the inferno.

Mazda3 sales off to rocky start despite massive critical acclaim

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

Like just about every other auto publication we've seen, we loved the way the Mazda3 drove when we reviewed it a few months ago, but those glowing reviews apparently aren't helping its sales. The new compact may be falling victim to a sales war between the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, with the newcomer getting squeezed out by those with more established names and bigger marketing budgets.
According to Automotive News, Mazda3 sales have fallen every month since last August, and its sales are down 27 percent in the first two months of 2014. It certainly isn't helping that the entire compact segment is down five percent this year as well.
The biggest problem for the new model seems to be its price compared to rivals. Mazda is not offering the incentives that are on the hood of competitors. With the previous generation, the company offered more than $2,700 on the hood to move them out, but the current model only carries about $1,233 in markdowns, according to AN.

Mazda and Clemson collaborate on Deep Orange 3 concept

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

There are school projects, and then there's the Mazda Deep Orange 3 Concept Car, a one-off built by Clemson University automotive engineering students and designed by Frederick Naaman from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Clemson students unveiled the chassis at the 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas, although this is the first showing of the car fully clothed.
Sporting a unique hybrid powertrain that can automatically switch between front-, rear-, and all-wheel drive. A gas-powered engine handles the fronts, while the rears are powered by an electric motor and a battery pack. The Deep Orange 3 also has an unusual three-plus-three layout, making it a much cooler version of your parent's old Vista Cruiser. The exterior sheetmetal clearly follows Mazda's established design language, and looks like it could easily pass for a five-door version of the Shinari Concept. It really is a great looking vehicle.
The Deep Orange 3 was part of Clemson's graduate-level auto engineering program, and is a regular partnership between the east coast school and the Pasadena-based design college's students. Clemson, Art Center and Mazda will be showing the Deep Orange 3 at the Center for Automotive Research Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, MI, from August 5 to August 8.
