1992 Mazda Miata M Convertible 2-door 1.6l Nice Original Condition on 2040-cars
Hazleton, Pennsylvania, United States
Up for sale is my 1992 Mazda Miata MX-5 M edition. It is in original condition except for the new top and after market cd player and I do believe it to have its original paint but you can tell it had some rust repair on the rockers but other than that I believe it to be completely original.
Everything works on the car except for the power antenna which attempts to go up and down but fails to do so, it is available here on ebay for under $50.00. The only other thing I know is wrong with it is the ABS light is blinking a 10 code which means that the sensor is bad I found the necessary part here on ebay from $70.00 to $110.00 or if your savvy with a soldering iron you can fix it your self for free. The windows are a little slow but they do go up and down and there is the typical clatter upon first starting it up but it clears instantly this is also a common thing with these Miata's and nothing to worry about.
The body is in real nice shape considering it is 3 years away from being considered an Antique Car here in Pennsylvania. There are obviously scratches and spots where they were deep enough that someone attempted to fix with touch up paint but no dents or major dings and there are chips here and there. Other than the typical wear and tear on a 22 year old vehicle this Miata is nice. The interior is in great shape also, not to say its perfect but it is in really nice condition again considering the age.
I just had a new top put on, rear breaks and rotors and the person that I bought it from told me he had the clutch done about two years ago. I also replaced the head rest speakers and door panel speakers.
The car runs and drives great you would never guess it was 22 years old if you drove it. I love it and thoroughly enjoy driving it but I have too many toys and the wife says it has to go.
I was astonished to find out that these Miata's have become very collectible and the high retail is $8,500.00 on it and an average retail of $5,475.00 my asking price is negotiable so don't hesitate to make an offer. Also anyone is more than welcome to come and look it over and take it for a test drive you wont be disappointed! I'm located in Hazleton, PA 18201 and I can be reached at 570-582-0843 names Tony

Trump declaration they're a security threat stuns Japanese automakers
Tue, May 21 2019TOKYO — Japan's automakers' lobby said on Tuesday it was dismayed by President Donald Trump's declaration that some imported vehicles and parts posed a threat to U.S. national security, as the industry braces for a possible rise in U.S. tariffs. Trump made the unprecedented designation of foreign vehicles on Friday but delayed for up to six months a decision on whether to impose tariffs to allow for more time for trade talks with Japan and the European Union. "We are dismayed to hear a message suggesting that our long-time contributions of investment and employment in the United States are not welcomed," said Akio Toyoda, chairman of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association. "As chairman, I am deeply saddened by this decision," Toyoda, president of Toyota, said in a statement. Trump has threatened to impose tariffs of up to 25% on imported cars made by foreign automakers, a move which automakers have argued would ramp up car prices, curb the global competitiveness of U.S.-made vehicles and limit investment in the country, the world's No. 2 auto market. The United States is a vital market for Toyota, Nissan, Honda and other Japanese car makers. Autos and components are among the Asian country's biggest export products. Most of Japan's major automakers operate plants in the United States. The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association notes that its automakers build about 4 million vehicles a year in North America, or 75 percent of what it sells here. Many are built for export, helping lessen the U.S. trade deficit Trump is concerned about. Major automakers have announced a slew of investments in the United States since Trump took office in January 2017 and put pressure on the industry to create more U.S. jobs. For its part, Toyota has pledged to invest almost $13 billion in the United States between 2017 and 2021 to boost manufacturing capacity and jobs. This includes $1.6 billion for a vehicle assembly plant in Alabama jointly run with Mazda. Government/Legal Honda Mazda Mitsubishi Nissan Toyota Trump
The Mazda MX-5 Miata and saving a marriage
Mon, Apr 6 2015I've had the privilege of knowing Zach Bowman – former Autoblog scribe, now penning great things over at Road & Track – for nearly a decade. We met at the Detroit Auto Show when we were both relatively new to the business, and joked about how someday, we'd work together and eventually conquer the world as big shots in the industry (we're still figuring that last part out, by the way). Thus, I was thrilled when Zach joined Autoblog in 2010, just a couple of months after I was hired, and was equally saddened when I learned he'd be leaving us. Zach is someone I'm proud to call a colleague – nay, a friend – and I've enjoyed the voice he's brought to this line of work. I tell you this on a personal level because Zach has just published what you could arguably consider his most heartfelt piece of automotive work to date. It's a charming, emotional story about his relationship with his wife, and how they, like so many young couples, learned to make marriage work through the many ups and downs found in any solid relationship. I call this "automotive work" because Zach intertwines this tale into a story about driving his 2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata across the country, his wife by his side, learning about love and life from the cockpit of a two-seat roadster. I can honestly say it's one of the best things I've read in a long while. Rather than continue to wax poetic about Zach's latest piece, I'll let his own words speak for themselves. Head over to Road & Track to read the full piece.
2014 Mazda6: July/August 2013
Thu, 05 Sep 2013Our newest long-termer - the Soul Red 2014 Mazda6 seen here - arrived in my driveway at the end of June. Without hesitation, I immediately put it to work as a daily driver, carpool bus and family vacation sled, and it accomplished all of those tasks with aplomb. Now, more than 4,000 miles down the road, I am left convinced that Mazda's latest midsize sedan is one of the best in its segment.
During the past 60 days, I have subjected the Mazda6 to scorching travel across Southwestern deserts, wheezing climbs over 8,000-foot-high Sierra Nevada mountain passes and basking in the cool ocean breezes of Malibu. It traveled with four passengers and a full load of luggage from Los Angeles to Lake Tahoe, and it braved the bumper-to-bumper freeway congestion on a weekday trip down to San Diego. It accomplished everything that was asked of while hardly skipping a beat - it has only required a regular sip of unleaded fuel to keep it moving forward.
