This is a really nice 1990 Mazda Miata with a 5 speed stick. Runs great, shifts great and stops great. EBay cancelled my listing due to past salvage title, but I did not realize this until I listed it and got the history report. I see no reason why this was salvaged other than a Junkyard did sell this to the owner I bought it from. The last owner bought it and put 12,000 miles on it without an issue. I have a clean clear title for this, car handles like a go kart and loves turnes. I just picked this up a month ago but wife told me to get ride of some toys or no more. ;-( I have gone over the whole car and it looks great and is in good over all condition, I just replaced the rear breaks, oil change and exhaust. Get in and drive anywhere. This does have a few cosmetic flaws but still cleans up nice. The rear bumper above the exhaust tip is cracked but can buy a cheap new one here on ebay, rear window has been patched but that to is on ebay cheap. The front has paint splintering due to sun, here and there are a few scratches and paint chips that have been touched up but nothing you would not find on a car of this age. Emergancy cable needs to be Adjusted. I would say this is above average condition for this year car and that was the reason I baught it. I would keep it but wife told me get ride of some toys. This is a turn key drive away and enjoy car, Fix or leave the minor cosmentics and Enjoy the wind in your hair !!

2014 Mazda3 officially rated at 30/41 mpg, priced from $16,945*
Wed, 24 Jul 2013It's hard not to be smitten with the 2014 Mazda3; after all, just look at it. But beyond its slick lines, we found the new compact hatch to be a pretty remarkable steer, offering up good levels of comfort and refinement, not to mention functionality and engagement. Now, there's more reason to like the 2014 Mazda3, as we've just learned that the car will officially be rated at 30 miles per gallon city and 41 mpg highway.
That 30/41 rating is for the Mazda3 sedan fitted with the 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G inline four-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. Opting for the manual transmission retains the 41-mpg highway number, but drops the city digits to 29. Hatchback models with the 2.0-liter engine achieve 29/40 mpg with the manual 'box and 30/40 with the automatic.
Mazda also offers a larger 2.5-liter inline-four in the 3, and while a six-speed automatic will be the only transmission available with this engine at launch, the automaker has confirmed that a manual is coming shortly. With the 6AT and 2.5, the Mazda3 sedan is rated at 28/39 mpg, or 29/40 with the company's i-Eloop regenerative braking system. Hatchback models shrink those numbers to 28/37 and 29/39 mpg, with and without i-Eloop, respectively.
Mazda Hazumi Concept previews next Mazda2 in Geneva [w/videos]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The official photos of Mazda's Hazumi concept leaked out yesterday, but we have finally gotten to see it in real life at the Geneva Motor Show. Our view is that its Kodo lines looks as good on the diminutive car's sheet metal as they did in photos.
The Hazumi was designed to appear to be bursting with energy, and it seems to deliver. While Mazda refuses to actually say that this is the concept for the next Mazda2, it makes it clear that the little hatchback is "foreshadowing Mazda's next-generation subcompact car." We can all read between the lines.
Hazumi also introduces the new Skyactiv-D 1.5-liter diesel engine but details about it are scant at the moment. The specs for the engine are still unannounced, but the company promises that it is both very efficient and has lots of torque for its size. Mazda is also promising that its Mazda Connect infotainment system will be available in the car too. Scroll down for the brief press release a brace of videos that celebrate the tiny concept's arrival.
2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata will rock 2.0L SkyActiv engine in US, 1.5L elsewhere
Wed, 01 Oct 2014Let the speculation finally end - we know what will power the next-generation 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and it's not turbocharged. The US model will get a SkyActiv 2.0-liter engine and six-speed manual, while models in the rest of the world have a 1.5-liter engine, confirming earlier rumors.
Unfortunately, Mazda isn't letting loose how much power either of these mills make just yet. For sake of comparison, the current SkyActiv 2.0 in the Mazda3 produces 155 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque, and the 1.5-liter in the UK (and elsewhere) has about 99 hp and 110 lb-ft of twist. However, the current Miata produces 167 hp and 140 lb-ft.
But fret not droptop fans. The company's brochure from the 2014 Paris Motor Show confirms, "all available drivetrains have been specially tuned for the all-new MX-5," which at least hints at the possibility of more performance. Also, even if the numbers remain untouched, the new Miata should feel even more sporting on the open road. That's because Mazda says the new model weighs in the neighborhood of 2,200 pounds; with that in mind, the 2016 car would boast around 14.19 pounds per horsepower versus 14.85 lb/hp in the present MX-5. Progress!
