I need the potential buyer to please read very, very carefully before you commit to place your bid. This van was purchased 04/07/2014 throughwww.iaai.com auction, I had all the intention in the world to get it fixed and keep it as a family car but my budget is not as it was a week ago...I simply won't be able to get it fixed....I want to break even in this deal or lose less than what I would if I keep it. Vehicle was cleaned inside and out, the van starts and runs but it needs some work with engine and possibly the transmission. YESTERDAY (05/07/2014) a friend of mine who is a mechanic went by my house and gave me his diagnosis HERE IT IS...THE ENGINE GOT OVER HEATED AND BLEW THE HEAD GASKETS, THE ENGINE HAS A DETONATION AND IS SETTING A CODE FOR THE KNOCK SENSOR AND THAT'S WHY THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT GO INTO OVER DRIVE. THAT'S ALL I WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC. As you can see it would need new front bumper cover unless this one could be repaired. BRAND NEW BATTERY (paid $125 04/09/2014)...I AM NOT A MECHANIC BY ANY MEANS SO YOU ARE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE AS IS...vehicle must be towed and picked up. Mazda CX-5 facelift leaks online
Mon, 10 Nov 2014It's only been a couple of years since Mazda introduced its CX-5 crossover, so it's hardly in need of replacement just yet. But to keep it fresh, the Japanese automaker is apparently preparing to roll out a facelift for the compact crossover.
The facelifted model is expected to debut at the LA Auto Show later this month, but before it does, a handful of images - apparently scanned from a brochure - have leaked out online. From what we can see, it looks like the revised CX-5 features a new grille with horizontal bars, LED headlamps derived from those on the new Mazda2, new fog light surrounds, new taillight graphics and, of course, new wheels.
Unfortunately we can't see what's going on inside, but it'd be safe to bet that, along with the revised exterior detailing, Mazda's probably taken the opportunity to update the interior as well.
Mazda Hazumi Concept previews next Mazda2 in Geneva [w/videos]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The official photos of Mazda's Hazumi concept leaked out yesterday, but we have finally gotten to see it in real life at the Geneva Motor Show. Our view is that its Kodo lines looks as good on the diminutive car's sheet metal as they did in photos.
The Hazumi was designed to appear to be bursting with energy, and it seems to deliver. While Mazda refuses to actually say that this is the concept for the next Mazda2, it makes it clear that the little hatchback is "foreshadowing Mazda's next-generation subcompact car." We can all read between the lines.
Hazumi also introduces the new Skyactiv-D 1.5-liter diesel engine but details about it are scant at the moment. The specs for the engine are still unannounced, but the company promises that it is both very efficient and has lots of torque for its size. Mazda is also promising that its Mazda Connect infotainment system will be available in the car too. Aussie Mazda MX-5 Miata specs leak suggests power loss
Fri, 12 Sep 2014Mazda's 2016 MX-5 Miata reveal didn't include much in the way of specifications, but the car's debut seems to have blown the lid off of the rumormill, with the latest word out of Australia including fresh claims of curb weight and engine output.
Before delving into the findings from Motoring.com, we're going to take a moment to find a few grains of salt. It's not that we don't trust the Oz publication, it's just that we wouldn't be surprised to learn their car's specifications will vary from that of our eventual North American car.
Of course, we don't expect the footprint of the new ND model to itself to differ much - it will still be the most compact Miata ever - overall length is expected to check in at just over 154 inches - that's about 1.4 inches shorter than the original NA Miata and over 4 inches shorter than today's NC generation, yet it'll ride atop a longer wheelbase and be slightly wider while sitting lower to the ground.
