This has been an great car, We are selling to buy a truck that can tow a large boat. The 2008 Mazda CX-9 crossover sport utility vehicle is powered by a 273-horsepower, 3.7L DOHC V6 engine with variable valve timing and an electronic throttle. It is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission, and delivers its power through either front-wheel drive or the Active Torque-Split all-wheel drive system, which uses sensors and a computer-controlled coupling to bring up to 50 percent of drive power to the rear wheels for surefooted traction. The CX-9's interior packaging is designed to be very flexible. The second row is split 60/40, the seatback reclines, and it can slide forward about five inches fore and aft, or fold flat. The third row, which is split 50/50, can also be folded flat for an expanded cargo floor, and it includes a hand strap for easily folding it or setting it back up. Entry to the third row is easier than most vehicles because of the second-row's folding abilities.Though the CX-9 is designed primarily for on-road operation, a full perimeter frame adds toughness to its uni-body construction, making it suitable for towing boats or small trailers (up to 3,500 pounds), and a multi-link rear suspension brings more secure on-road ride and handling attributes than other SUVs.Several important safety features not offered by all the competition are standard on the CX-9, including dynamic stability control with roll stability control, a system that helps take minor corrective action to avoid loss of control on slippery roads or during abrupt maneuvers, anti-lock brakes with brakeforce distribution, and side-curtain air bags that extend to all three rows.Three different trim levels--Sports, Touring, and Grand Touring--are offered. Sports and Touring models get 18-inch wheels, while Grand Touring models ride on flashy, bright-finish 20-inch wheels with high-speed, V-rated tires. Standard equipment on Sports models includes keyless illuminated entry, cruise control, a three-zone automatic climate control system with rear-seat ducts, a six-speaker CD sound system, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. The Touring model upgrades to heated mirrors and leather first- and second-row seats with heated front seats, while the top-of-the-range Grand Touring adds fog lamps, high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a Smart Card keyless entry/start system, and upgraded lighting and trim.Key options include a power-operated liftgate, a moonroof, a backup-camera system, a rear entertainment system package with a nine-inch screen, and a Bose Centerpoint surround sound system with eleven speakers. |

Next Mazdaspeed3 could go naturally aspirated?
Fri, 12 Jul 2013The new Mazda3 is a stunner, both aesthetically and from a driving perspective. As with all good things, though, there's always room for improvement. That's where the wizards from Mazdaspeed come in. Mazda's in-house tuner has been tweaking and turbocharging the five-door Mazda3 since 2007, with impressive results.
We've shown you renderings of what the third-generation Mazdaspeed3 could look like, and for the most part your response was quite positive. Now, AutoExpress has come out with details of just what might be under that long hood. According to our friends across the pond, the new Mazda3 MPS (that's what the Speed3 is called in Her Majesty's auto industry) will be arriving with a new, high-revving, naturally aspirated engine. Wait, what?
Yes, if the rumors are to be believed, the next Mazdaspeed3 will ditch its turbocharger. According to an anonymous engineer, the new MS3 will arrive in December (this is for the UK market, mind you) with a 200-horsepower, naturally aspirated engine. The 2.0-liter mill is based on the Skyactiv engine in the new 3, and should be capable of a sub-seven-second run to 62 miles per hour.
Huet Brothers working on new Miata-based retro coupe
Wed, 14 May 2014Does the name Huet ring a bell? The Dutch brothers started out doing classic car tours in Europe before they started designed and building their own retro sports cars. The first was called the Huet Brothers Special. It was based on an old Triumph TR6 and surfaced back in 2009. But a few years later they started showing designs for a new coupe that called for a straight-six engine under a long bonnet with a fastback roofline, and started taking orders. Over the past two and a half years we didn't see anything materialize out of the Huet Brothers' plans, but word out of the Netherlands has it that the design is back on the table.
According to the Autovisie section of Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Tino and Paul Huet were planning on building their coupe on the base of the MX-5 Miata. But now that Mazda is preparing to launch an all-new model, the Huets have decided to wait until next year and build their dream car on the new Skyactiv roadster chassis.
Rather than trying to shoehorn in a bigger engine (or the subsequent diesel model that was set to follow), the Huets are reportedly prepared to stick with Mazda's four-pot, offering it in stock form and various states of upgraded tune.
Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrating Mazda this year [w/video]
Sun, Feb 22 2015Mazda gets to wear the crown and sash as the doubly honored marque for the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. The Japanese brand will be the focus of the Central Feature, the sculpture that sits outside Goodwood House, and its race cars will be the focus on the lawn, where there will be at least one representative from "every era of Mazda's motor sport achievement." The theme for this year's event is "Flat-out and fearless: racing on the edge." The showcase, of course, will be the 700-horsepower, rotary-engined 787B that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1991. It will run up the 1.6-mile Hillclimb while a Mazda challenger from the World Rally Championship runs the Forest Rally Stage, joining Andros Trophy ice racing and sportscar racing Mazdas. The festival happens from June 25-28 this year, and there's a press release with more details down below the video recap from 2014 and Mazda 787B Le Mans lap. This content is hosted by a third party. Le Mans-winning 787B to headline fantastic Mazda line-up at FoS 2015 Feb 18, 2015 -- Mazda is the only Japanese manufacturer to have won the world's most prestigious motor race – the Le Mans 24 Hours – and the victorious rotary-engined 787B, with its distinctive sound, is certain to be a crowd favourite as it winds its way up Goodwood's iconic 1.16-mile Hillclimb at the Festival of Speed this year. The 787B is part of a fabulous collection of racing and road machines that will be brought to the Festival by Mazda, in the year in which the company is also being honoured by the iconic Central Feature outside Goodwood House. Further motor sport success has been achieved in touring cars, the World Rally Championship, Andros Trophy ice racing and sportscar competition in the USA – in which Mazda's pioneering SKYACTIV-D turbodiesel technology is breaking new ground currently. In fact, every era of Mazda's motor sport achievement will be marked by some incredible competition cars both on the Hillclimb and the Forest Rally Stage as we celebrate the FoS theme 'Flat-out and fearless; racing on the edge'. The Moving Motor Show on June 25, will also showcase many of the key models from Mazda's current range.
