Up for sale is my 1995 Mitsubishi Spyder VR4 with 56,500 miles. Wife and I took it out this weekend to West Palm Beach FL and back, car is running awesome!
Vehicle History
I purchased vehicle 2 years ago and drove 2,300 miles on an awsome trip down I10 from Arizona to Florida. The auto was owned by a gentleman in his 60's, and I am in my 50's. It appears the vehicle has spent most of its life in the low humidity of Arizona. Currently it is in a dehumidified garage in Florida. Of the 56,500 miles, I have put on 14,000 in the last two years. The car has no damage history. The unique aspect of this vehicle is it's low milage coupled with being a daily driver over the past two years. Recently I have found and purchased a 1997 VR4 with 28,500 miles locally. Being the 1997 VR4 makes 3 3000gt's at the house, thought it might be a good idea to skinny down to two. I don't smoke, and the prior owner Ron did not smoke. The vehicle while in my possesiton has never been smoked in, the plastic ashtray does not have any burn marks or ashes the vehicle interior appearnce and fragrance is consistant with a vehicle which has never been smoked in.
Vehicle Condition
Exterior The pictures taken we on 2/25/2013 and tell the story. Most of the paint is original paint and although in near pristine condition, a close inspection will reveal scratches and some minor imperfections. I had the trunk lid and convertible top repainted as the clear coat was showing its age. The brand new paint and old look identical.
Intererior This is the origianl interior. The seats have some marks, as you can see in the picture, less than I would expect with a car of this age/miles. Suprisingly the leading edge of the drivers seat (as you enter from the door) do not have the typical wear marks.
Mechanical "Bone Stock" All maintenance is up to and ahead of date. A full 60,000 mile maintenance is complete, including but not limited to timing belt, water pump, transmission inspection and flush, transfer case inspection, differential inspection, fuel filter, ICV, Fuel regulator - all the little stuff which will begin to cause issues. New tires at 48,500 miles and the VR4 rims were cleaned and resealed so the tires will hold their air The tires appear to have 75% of its tread left. Every button switch light system works on this car (well except one button) The radio has two volume buttons one on the steering wheel and one twist on/off button on the face of the radio. The on off part works, but the twist part does change the volume, just never sure to what. The steering wheel buttons work fine. In 1995 and 1996 the radio has an AUX input which will accept Ipods/phone outputs. Turbos sing like they should, and are original just like the rest of the car. The trick to keeping your turbos happy and healthy is to allow the engine to cool (idle) before shut down. The top works perfect. Both hydrolic pumps which power the trunk and retractible hard top have had a complete flush and fresh hydrolic oil in July of 2012. The only modification that has been done to this vehicle is the stock air cleaner has been replaced with a K&N air cleaner - Original air cleaner comes with car.
This car will not be what you expect. I have beent he driver of this car for two years and have fixed and corrected any all issues to give to you a dream to drive.
Pro's & Con's
Pro
The vehicle had an extremly limited production run in 1995/1996 consequntly few are available. Take into account this vehicle is original with low miles makes it a collectors car. The Spyders (turbos and NA too) have been showing some appreciation in value on the market over the past few years.
This car gets phographed every 2000 miles or so (that I am aware of). This is the only 3000GT (of the 4 I have owned) which gets photographed. It is a conversation piece wherever you go. You will be asked questions about it!
Currently in service as a daily driver, ready to go cross county. Would it be nice to get your new toy and fly in to Florida and go on a cross country drive to take her home? She is ready fo the mission.
Low miles, Original, Mechanicaly up to date, No damage history, Never modded (except K&N air filter) - Original comes with the car for turning back to 100% stock.
Stored in low humidity Arizona and a dehumidified garage, extremly rust free undercarrige. - Don't underestimate the power of low humidity and its effect on corrosion as the vehicle ages. This vehicle extremely is well perserved.
ESC feature - Tour and Sport Suspension option - on some 95's and not on others, this one has it.
Florida title is in my hand
NO RESERVE this is a live auction!
Con's
Original paint and interior, has signs of ware far less to be expected with a vehicle of this age and miles.

2024 Maserati GranTurismo revealed, twin-turbo V6 or 750-hp EV: 'We're going to let buyers decide'
Mon, Oct 3 2022Maserati is in the midst of a renaissance; it's branching out into new segments with cars like the MC20 and the Grecale. While it's counting on these models to widen its target audience, it's not forgetting about its existing customers and the cars that brought them to the brand. The new, second-generation GranTurismo is a blank-sheet redesign that's evolutionary where it counts and revolutionary where it needs to be. First, the elephant in the room: this is a big, luxurious coupe launched in an era when big, luxurious coupes are disappearing at an alarming rate. What's the point? Min Byung Yoon, Maserati's lead exterior designer, explained the grand tourer (a fast, upscale car designed to quickly and effortlessly drive across a country) is one of the pillars that the company's image is built on, and keeping this tradition alive is important. Customers care more about image and usability than tradition, however, so the new GranTurismo receives several important updates. Maserati will offer the GranTurismo in three different flavors: Modena, Trofeo and Folgore. The first two use a version of the excellent 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 inaugurated by the MC20 and also found in the Grecale. Known as the Nettuno engine internally, it develops 490 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque in the Modena, figures that increase to 550 and 479, respectively, in the Trofeo. It's bolted to an eight-speed automatic transmission in both applications, and it spins the four wheels — the original GranTurismo was rear-wheel-drive. This content is hosted by a third party. Andrea Baccino, the chief engineer for the Italian firm's electric powertrains, told me that making all-wheel drive standard across the range is a way to expand the GranTurismo's usability. It's now a viable year-round driver, even if you live somewhere in rural Vermont. The system is rear-biased but variable: it can send up to 100% of the engine's torque to the rear wheels or split it 50/50 between the front and rear axles. The V6 is front-mid-mounted to achieve a 52/48 front-rear weight distribution, and the GranTurismo weighs around 3,957 pounds, which is surprisingly low considering it's not exactly nimble: it measures about 195 inches long, 77 inches wide and 53 inches tall. Hitting 62 mph from a stop takes 3.9 seconds in the Modena and 3.5 seconds in the Trofeo, and top speed checks in at 187 mph and 198 mph, respectively.
Heidi Klum and Maserati go Beyond the Swimsuit for Sports Illustrated
Sat, 22 Feb 2014When sports and cars come together, the world "super" often comes up - whether it's a high-performance super sports car, a racing series (like Japan's Super GT, Australia's V8 Supercars or Italy's Superstars series), the latest crop of Super Bowl ads from the world's automakers or a supermodel posing with a car in the pages of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
This year's edition already saw Lisalla Montenegro cozying up to the new Lexus RC F, but it's not the only pairing to be found between an import luxury performance machine and a swimsuit model. The new 50th anniversary edition of the popular bikini special features a seven-page pictorial titled "Beyond the Swimsuit" shot by Francesco Carrozzini.
The spread features the inimitable Heidi Klum posing beside and inside various Maserati models - including the new Ghibli S Q4, the GranTurismo MC Trofeo race car and the Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna concept. Of course it's not the first time we're seeing a leggy blonde stepping out of Modena's finest - a role often taken up by one Jodie Kidd, to say nothing of the rich and beautiful in exotic locales the world over - but it's a pairing of which we'll never grow tired.
Maserati Levante shows Kubang inspiration in leaked images
Fri, Feb 19 2016One of the most anticipated debuts at next month's Geneva Motor Show comes from Maserati, which is set to show its first crossover. A major part of the brand's revival, the new Levante will be challenged to strike the right chord in an increasingly competitive segment. That's not the new Levante at the top of the page. It's the Kubang Concept on which it's based. The leaked shots come from the Dutch Auto Week – like our Autoweek, but taller – and include six shots that we're betting were in a tin labeled "Do not open until March 1." They provide a great look at the new crossover from a range of angles, and include a shot of a very, very red cabin. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. We see a great deal of Kubang concept around the headlights, although it's clear Maser's designers evolved the Levante's grille to better match the Ghibli sedan. It's more chiseled and strong, part of which can be blamed on the chrome slats – the Kubang's grille slats were just black. The rear fender and shoulder lines look like they've almost been lifted straight from the Ghibli, while the roofline and rear window give the impression that Maserati is favoring sporty looks over any real utility. We're unable to post the leaked Levante images here, but we'd strongly suggest you give them a look over at Auto Week. And stay tuned for the official info on the Levante, when it gets its grand debut early next month. Related Video:
