2004 Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa Convertible 2-door 4.2l on 2040-cars
Waco, Texas, United States
Rare
triple black combination! 4.2 liter V-8 @ 400hp, F1 style paddle
shifted 6-speed or auto, close ratio transaxle, mirror finish Nero black paint, “full”
black leather interior including door panels-console-dash, black cloth
power unlatching convertible top, power seats, 4
wheel disc brakes, power windows & locks, Xenon lights, sport exhaust, driven around 3K
miles a year, original $102K sticker, spectacular buy. This car is a Ferrari in a Maserati
body. The car handles great. The interior is classic Italian,
beautifully stitched leather covers
the entire interior. The seats hug
you and hold you in place for when you
are at those high speeds. Also like an
Italian sports car, all of the power
is in the higher RPM's. The car rides and drives like a sports car, so if you are used to and want a "Lexus" type ride, this is not the car for you. To my knowledge, the clutch has not been replaced. The car has a clean Carfax and looks great! You can spend this much on a Z-28, but why??? Before you ask, the cat does not go with the car. He was just photobombing.

Ferrari LaFerrari supercar to spawn Maserati LaMaserati?
Fri, 22 Mar 2013CAR reports Maserati may benefit from the introduction of Enzo-succeeding Ferrari LaFerrari (shown below). According to unnamed parties, Maserati is keen to create a successor for the MC12 (above) based on the bones of the new Ferrari.
Details are about as scarce as they come, but CAR reckons Maserati has a few options when it comes to building its own supercar. Those include using the suspension, chassis and electrical systems of the Ferrari but with a unique carbon fiber body and without the LaFerrari's hybrid system. The new take on the MC12 could use a detuned version of the 6.3-liter V12 from the LaFerrari or stick a quad-turbo 3.8-liter V8 behind the front seats.
The latter option could see the next MC12 yield up to 900 horsepower, putting it within reach of its cousin as well as hardware like the McLaren P1. Of course, all of this - including our fanciful name in the headline - is just speculation for the time being. CAR says that if the machine makes its way to production, it would could cost well over $1.3 million.
Maserati bringing new sports car concept to Geneva?
Tue, 25 Feb 2014Maserati is in the midst of a major product overhaul. The Quattroporte was recently redone, the Ghibli is a fresh new model and the Levante crossover is still in the pipeline. But what about its two-door line? Surely Maserati hasn't forgotten about those, right?
Not according to the latest gossip, it hasn't. Word has it that in celebration of its centenary this year, the Trident marque is preparing a new sports car concept to unveil at the Geneva Motor Show. Apparently smaller than the aging GranTurismo, the new concept is said to take aim at the Jaguar F-Type - not to mention the Porsche 911.
According to GTSpirit, the concept could pack the Modenese automaker's new twin-turbo V6 or V8 engines, but no matter how many cylinders, it's understood we're likely looking at a front-engine/rear-drive layout and an automatic transmission.
2014 Maserati Quattroporte goes on a night run
Wed, 02 Jan 2013While it was in development, Maserati rolled out its 2014 Quattroporte for a little testing, but rather than slather the big luxury sedan in gobs of camouflage to protect from it prying eyes, engineers used the cover of darkness to conceal the vehicle's design. Then they made a video about their cleverness and posted it on the Internet. The team spent some time whipping around the Balocco Proving Ground with chief test driver Fabrizio Galvan at the controls to evaluate the sedan's new drivetrain, noise levels and handling in the real world.
We got our hands on the 2014 Quattroporte last month for a first drive ahead of the vehicle's North American debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. You can read our impressions here, but first, take a look at the video below for a new glimpse at the machine's development.
