To start with a little back ground, I've had this vehicle for around two years now. The vehicle is beautiful inside and out and low miles for the year. There is no rips or tears in the leather and all the paint matches on the outside and still holds a wax very well for a 15 year old car. bottom of front bumper has pant scuffs and digs, I never repainted that when I got her because when lowered it scuffs anything and everything anyways so there was no point to repaint bottom. Although she looked beautiful there was a number of mechanical issues like a bad fan, rubber hoses on oil returns and oil leaks of the worst kind (the ones you could never easily find and seemed never ended)
I replaced the hoses, as well as the oil leaks all of them. Then the MAP Sensor went witch screwed everything up. The MAP sensor was replaced and the car wouldn't retune and wouldn't start. So it ended up sitting at the garage for about 8 months wile I just got frustrated with it and didn't touch it but to clean it every now and again. Finally we figured out that the computer might be bad. We sent it out along with the chip and a new computer to find out the chip was bad not the computer. However, I had the new ECM Link/Tuning Chip Installed in the new computer. She ran but I didn't trust Her, and I didn't want to do the tuning myself, so I towed her 2.5 hours away to PSI PROFORMANCE. They put a new fan in, new wiring, and another new MAP Sensor that they would be able to tune.
Then It was Time for the DYNO. Wile there, I had PSI PROFORMANCE Tune and Dyno the car. As in the pictures below, at the time of this first tune She was running 253 ft-lbs of Torque and 275 HP. About 100 over stock on just those few motor upgrades.
I ended up bringing it back a few days later, the day I left it started idling funny and it sounded like there was an exhaust leak. By the time I got back there the exhaust leak was horrible. It also sounded like there was a boost leak, witch was thought to be there the first time but wasn't found. The exhaust leak from turbo to manifold, basically the worst spot ever for power. And the boost leak was found from turbo to intercooler, THE absolute worst spot for boost and power. After their tuner/dyno guy had those fixed he re-tuned it, he didn't do the dyno again (for that's $500 for tune and dyno there) but he estimated the car was now pushing about 300HP and 260 ft-lbs of torque. He had me take it for a ride before I left again and literally with those two things fixed, it sounded like a whole new and stronger car compared to what it did just two weeks prior, amazing how much little air not circulating correctly can hold something back.
After this tune the car ran great for about 3 weeks I did not drive it daily for during the summer my Mustang is my daily car and the Eclipse was just for show and fun in the sun. And the compliments were always appreciated, got them every time I drove it. After about 3 weeks the motor finally blew, To Much Power For its Own Good. The vehicle does not Have upgraded cams, (witch he said I needed to push more horsepower because without the hp hits a brick wall at 300) no upgraded intake manifold or headers also for more hp but this is because I wanted to upgrade the bottom end first. However I didn't get there in time and the rods blew rate through the bottom of the motor (shown in last picture)
I cleaned up all the oil from under the car, cleaned the motor and checked the parts and everything seems to be ok. Turbo, Intercooler, etc. (the expensive important stuff) Its been sitting for 2 or 3 weeks now because I've been procrastinating on selling her and reluctant to do so. However I leave for the military in a month and she has to go. It is worth more if I parted it out I know that, anyone who knows cars knows that, and I've had many offers on the turbo, intercooler, rims, exhaust, etc. However, as I just mentioned I'm leaving soon and don't have the time to part it out so, although worth less to sell, I'm selling her as a whole no exceptions.
I am selling this vehicle locally and reserve the right to end this auction early. Shipping is responsible by buyer.
Thanks For Looking.

Rich kid uses puppy to polish Maserati as Internet howls
Thu, May 18 2017Update: The original Instagram video appears to have been removed, but the video can still be viewed at this link. One of the Rich Kids of Instagram may never attempt to perform manual labor again after the 2-3 seconds she spent using a puppy to "polish" a rare Maserati. She cast it as a joke, but the Internet wasn't laughing. Instagram user m666ya, who is said to be a young, beautiful, wealthy collector of supercars in London - or, she at least has enough access to photograph them and occasionally show herself behind the wheel of one - posted this clip of an extremely cute puppy detailing a limited-edition Maserati MC12, which sells for $1.5 million or $2 million (depending on who's doing the telling). It got picked up on the Rich Kids account two days ago: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. The Maltese puppy is compliant and seems, well, maybe not in distress but probably not having the time of its life, either. And m66ya or whoever is doing the buffing keeps it exceedingly brief. Some of the reaction has been predictable. The New York Post tabloid called her "barking mad." And social-media reactions to the post were similar: "Not funny." "Animal abuse." "Disgusting." "This is just wrong." "Shame on you." "This is actually sickening." "Money can't buy you class and in your case, values." "Dogs are so loyal and only want to love and please their owner. You do not deserve any devotion of love from this innocent puppy." "Psychologists will tell you, simple abuse of animals often leads to abuse of humans in later life. Seek some help now." A few commenters defend the clip and suggest people lighten up. Some doubled down on the joke: "It's better to use a cat so you can hear your engine purr." A blogger joked you'd never actually use a dog to polish a $2 million car because dirt in its hair could scratch the paint. And one young philosopher of Instagram, whose spelling is too poor to quote him directly, makes the fair point that perhaps some people are less angry about the dog than they are jealous that these ne'er-do-wells are rich. A spokeswoman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said: "We can understand why people are concerned about this video.
Maserati Tridente by Vita Power First, Um, Cruise Review: Today on Aquablog
Sat, Jun 29 2024LAKE MAGGIORE, Italy — MaseratiÂ’s Trident logo gets three-pronged inspiration from the famous fountain of Neptune in Bologna, where the automaker got its start in 1914 before packing up and moving to Modena. And a symbol that denotes mastery over the water is appropriate for the all-electric motorboat that floats us in style around ItalyÂ’s Lake Maggiore. Beckoning dockside, the Tridente is a 10.5-meter superyacht tender, the boat that takes you to a bigger boat. But itÂ’s also fine for swanky solo cruises on lakes or ocean coasts, with a roughly 50- to 70-kilometer range (31 to 43 miles). The design collaboration between Maserati and Vita Power, a marine tech company founded in 2017, features a fast DC charging system that Vita claims as an industry first. To make that practical, Vita has been creating charging infrastructure in key locales, including along the French Riviera, San Francisco Bay, New York and a plug here in Lake Maggiore, about an hour north of Milan. We hop aboard the Tridente, the aforementioned logo emblazoned on a bow deck formed from ribbed composite. The molto bene motorboat features a carbon-fiber hull that helps hold a total weight around 5 tons. As with automobiles, thatÂ’s decisively more mass than a comparable ICE-powered boat, thanks to a 250-kilowatt-hour battery pack thatÂ’s big enough to make a Hummer EV blush. We depart the dock and head for Isola Bella, an island that floats a 17th-century palazzo — a summer home for the aristocratic House of Borromeo, which produced several cardinals and one pope — and a baroque Italian garden of over-the-top splendor. I take a spot on a wide, comfy daybed near the stern, and experience the key talking point of any electric watercraft: A welcome lack of diesel or gasoline stink wafting over passengers — notoriously amplified should one experience seasickness — and the ability to hold a conversation without shouting over an ear-rending marine ICE powertrain. Of course, that also means no rainbow petroleum slicks floating in your wake and despoiling the marine environment. Our pilot makes sure IÂ’m hanging on before he punches the throttle, backed by a pair of generous screens that display everything from nav charts to Netflix. Despite its weight, the Tridente proves a punchy beast. A twin-prop arrangement and proprietary control software allows anywhere from 100 to 600 horsepower.
2014 Maserati Quattroporte [w/video]
Wed, 12 Dec 2012Vastly Upgraded Italian Speed Sedan Kicks Off Brand Renaissance
The sixth-generation Maserati Quattroporte is big - and not just because it's 6.5 inches longer than before with a wheelbase that stretches 4.3 inches beyond its predecessor. The new Quattroporte is big also because it's a huge deal both for its segment and for Maserati. Just as FoMoCo is finally chucking $1 billion at Lincoln MoCo, so too is Fiat investing 1.2 billion euros ($1.55 billion at the time this writing) in Maser's future hopes of achieving the larger success we all have wished for it. And after a thorough drive over the intensely challenging mountain roads of France's Mediterranean coast, we can't deny that there's finally reason to put some faith in this long overdue investment.
The much-applauded outgoing Quattroporte enjoyed a reputation of being among the very fastest executive sedans of its day, all while delivering the sportiest overall ride and handling, even in base trims. Yet there was constant corporate-level dysfunction that kept all Maseratis from getting important upgrades or receiving much-needed investment support. So, the outgoing Quattroporte has up until now sort of languished nobly, largely resting on the laurels it earned when it launched way back in 2003.
