I am not a sales guy and will not pretend that I am.  I promise to not use cliche and overused sales terms when describing the car.  Here's the honest truth on this Maserati:

I ordered this particular Quattroporte to spec direct from Maserati back in 2008.  As mentioned above, I will not use terms like "babied" or "tender loving highway miles" because we all know that is generally a lie.  If a person has to go out of their way to point something that should be obvious...  they are probably full of it.  Please let the photos do the explaining as to how well the car was taken care of.  I never took it through a Chevron save $3 on an Ultimate car wash if you buy some fuel first and let our minimum wage high school kid take our dusty shop broom and test the thickness of your car's clear coat sorta place.  Instead, our company has an agreement with a local mobile car washing business who happily stops by the office once a week to wash cars.  That's how it was detailed from day one until just yesterday when they washed it for a final time.  All maintenance work was completed at Maserati of Tampa, FL and Maserati here in Las Veags.

Quite frankly, driving fast absolutely terrifies me.  If I wanted to drive like a maniac I would've invested in a Lingenfelter Twin Turbo Corvette or Viper...  I will say this car does have a Stage 2 ECU software upgrade that yields an extra 25 horsepower.  My business partner's had a local performance shop install a custom Formula Dynamics tune while I was out of town on vacation.  They thought I would notice the difference and call them to ask what they had done to the Maserati!  In reality they waited a week until approaching me to see if I noticed a difference.  I did not because you actually have to mash the throttle to experience the difference which is something I just do not do.  After they mentioned the upgrade to me I tried it out and yes there is a noticeable difference!

The car spent half of it's life in Tampa, FL where it's nice and warm (no snow, salt, sandy roads, etc) and the 2nd portion here in even sunnier Las Vegas.  The paint still looks great for a 5 year old car with 49k on it.

Anyone who invests a little time in learning about Maserati knows the one-of-a-kind craftsmanship that goes into each and every vehicle.  Even to this day (5 years after pulling the plastic wrapping off the seats and steering wheel) as I sit in the drivers seat I do not feel like I'm in an automobile.  This car is something special.  The added roar and growl from the engine is not a necessity rather an added bonus for guys like me  Rawrr!!!  hehe

Please do not hesitate to message me with any questions you may have.  The car is available to inspect for yourself if you are in the local area.  Good luck!!!

Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale is an interesting choice in the world of lux GTs

Wed, Jan 7 2015

The Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale sits in an awkward place in the modern world of European grand tourers. Despite its voluptuous Italian body, with 454 horsepower and a six-speed automatic gearbox, it's a bit behind the times when 500 or 600 hp are the norm with seven- or eight-speed transmissions. The GranTurismo is also being phased out, but it's not nearly old enough to be a classic yet. Why would anyone spend their hard-earned dough for this Maserati? XCar Films aims to find out and eventually presents an interesting argument about why the GranTurismo is still worth at least considering against competitive entries from Aston Martin, Porsche, Ferrari or the rest of the European performance pack. This is likely just a temporary goodbye to the GranTurismo anyway, because Maserati plans to revive the name in 2018 with a production version of the Alfieri concept coming in the mean time. If nothing else, this video is a great way to say goodbye to the curvaceous coupe. Maserati introduces Ghibli to Americans in Super Bowl spot

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles aired three commercials during this year's Super Bowl, and the first spot was given to Maserarti during the first quarter of the big game. The 90-second ad was used by Maserati to introduce its new midsize Ghibli luxury sports sedan to a very captive American audience.
Called Strike, the Ghibli commercial tells the familiar tale of the little guy who waits around for the world's giants to let down their guard. Scroll down to watch the spot yourself and let us know if it lives up to the high bar that Chrysler brands have set for themselves in past Super Bowls.

Maserati GranCabrio revealed in high-output Trofeo trim

Thu, Feb 29 2024

As has been the tradition with Maserati over the past couple of decades, now that the four-seat GT coupe has launched, it's time for the drop-top version. And this latest convertible adopts the same name as its predecessor: GranCabrio. It is, in almost every respect, the same car as the GranTurismo, but with a fabric roof and a bit more weight. Said roof is available in five colors: a navy blue, dark red, black, grey and "greige." It is indeed fabric in order to fold more compactly and allow for cargo space with the top folded, though it will still take up a bit of trunk space when retracted. It also folds quickly at just 14 seconds, and it will come back up in 16. Operation of the top can be done at speeds up to 31 mph. To keep occupants comfy in all temperatures with the top down, the front seats have air vents in the seat backs to blow air onto the neck. Optionally available is a fold-open wind blocker that fits behind the front seats, though it can't be used with rear occupants. The soft top does bring some extra weight, around 220 pounds compared to the equivalent coupe. Maserati didn't specify exactly what contributes to the gain – whether it's more just top components or if some of it comes from chassis reinforcements (both seem likely). Interestingly, the extra weight actually gives the GranCabrio slightly better balance than the GranCoupe. The drop-top's front and rear weight distribution is 51/49 to the coupe's 52/48. Maserati is only offering the GranCabrio in the top-spec Trofeo internal-combustion trim for now. That includes the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 making 542 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The weight does ever so slightly blunt acceleration, dropping it by 0.1 second to 3.6 compared to the GranTurismo Trofeo. The same staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels and Brembo brakes carry over from the coupe, too. And while the Trofeo is the only version for now, Maserati notes that the chassis remains designed for internal combustion and electric power, so an all-electric Folgore and more entry-level Modena gas-powered models will likely be added later. Maserati did not give a specific time for when the GranCabrio will hit dealers, but it should be sometime this year. Pricing is also a mystery, but should carry a premium over the GranTurismo coupe.
