There are not many Maserati Gran Turismo Convertibles on the pre-owned market and that is for a couple reasons. First of which is that Maserati does not build many of them. Second is the fact that their owners usually have someone who would like to purchase their Gran Turismo Convertible long before they consider parting with their Maserati. These incredible automobiles are a mixture of the best the automotive world has to offer combined into one terrific package ! ! ! The first thing you notice is simply the way Gran Turismo looks. The body was designed by world renowned designer Pininfarina. You will notice that most convertibles sacrifice the lines of the automobile for the convertible top...Not on a Pininfarina body ! ! ! The next thing you notice is the beautiful interior. Maserati went to one of Italy's most famous leather furniture manufacturers Poltrona Frau for the leather used in Gran Turismo and you can see why as soon as you look inside a Gran Turismo. The feel of the Poltrona Frau Leather the richness of the Polished Burr Walnut trim and steering wheel and the sound of the Bose Surround Sound System make for a feeling you just have to experience for your self. Now the fun part......As soon as you turn the key you hear the most wonderful sound ! ! ! It is the sound of the Maserati designed 4.7L V8 that is manufactured for them by sister company Ferrari ! ! !  It is easy to see just why these magnificent automobiles have such a loyal following ! ! !
This Gorgeous 2010 Gran Turismo was traded back to us by a long time client who also serviced it here as well. We are the only Maserati dealer in Michigan and have put this Gran Turismo through Maserati's extensive Certification which adds two years to the Warranty. There are others on the market that are a bit less money but NONE of them have Maserati backing them like this car does. MSRP was $143,500.00 ! ! !

Car designer Frank Stephenson wants to show you something ... smaller

Sat, Dec 17 2022

Influential car designer Frank Stephenson has often thought small. Now he’s thinking smaller. Throughout the past three decades, he has shaped — literally — some of the most indelible designs in automotive history: the modern Mini, the Ferrari FXX track star, the Maserati Gran Sport, a range of stunning McLarens and down to the funky 21st-century version of the Fiat 500. Now heÂ’s turned his pen to fashioning watches. His Cosmos analog piece, made to mirror “a black hole in space” and detailed “with an orange pinstripe which simulates the supernova glow of a neutron star,” features a Japan-built quartz movement and was created in concert with the Time Concepts company. “ItÂ’s the age-old adage ‘car people are watch people,Â’ so it was a natural step for me to get creative with timepieces too,” Stephenson said in a statement. “The collection showcases the love I have for exceptional and emotionally charged design, just like what is required in designing world class cars.” While Stephenson, who is 64, may be best known publicly for his vision of “affordable style” with the Mini and the Fiat, his ethos also translated to the utilitarian. In the case of BMW in the mid-1990s, the company was hustling to market an SUV, and turned to him for inspiration. His team had six months to complete the project. The result was the high-end X5, which Stephenson sketched during a two-hour flight. In 2018, Stephenson established the independent design company, Frank Stephenson Design, based in London. Maserati betting big on Levante SUV

Sat, Aug 1 2015

In 2014, Maserati was booming thanks to a sales spike, and executives contemplated capping production. The company's fortunes, however, have changed quickly this year. Its sales dropped 13 percent globally to 8,281 cars in the second quarter, and earnings were down 30 percent, according to Automotive News. This performance has led the company to pin its future hopes on the launch of the Levante crossover. The Levante arrives in the first half of 2016. An official debut is scheduled for sometime this year, according to the company's five-year plan, though the unveiling might be pushed back until the 2016 Detroit auto show in January, Automotive News reports. The Levante shares a platform with the Ghibli and reportedly will use its V6 engines. The crossover also is expected to have all-wheel drive. Patent drawings suggest a look reminiscent of the earlier Kubang concept (pictured above). FCA explains some of Maserati's current weakness is due to problems in China. Deliveries were down 37 percent there in the second quarter, according to Automotive News, and the country's weak economy isn't expected to let up soon. Related Video:

Maserati offers peek into Alfieri concept's design

Mon, 24 Mar 2014

This year marks Maserati's hundredth anniversary, which means we'll be spending the rest of 2014 talking about all the company's planned celebrations. The Alfieri Concept, shown at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, though, is quite possibly the most noteworthy part of the brand's centennial.
Named after one of the company's founder, Alfieri Maserati, the coupe is a striking piece of design, although it did manage to fall short of earning a spot on our editors' choice list for the Geneva show (we blame this more on the number of exciting products at the show rather than any shortcoming of the showcar).
In this video, Maserati Centro Stile designers take us through the process of penning the Alfieri, from the car it was inspired by, on to the actual process of designing the car. Fans of automotive design won't want to miss this video. Take a look below.
