For sale is my Maserati Coupe' Cambriocorsa which I bought new in December of 2002.  All service records, window sticker, etc. are included in this sale. The car has been meticulously maintained.

This Maserati as per the window sticker has a full beige  leather interior including the headliner with stitching, full brierwood kit, Xenon front lights, Spare Wheel + Trousse, Skyhook Suspension, Rear Extra-Storage Compartment, 7 Spoke Sporting Wheels, Park Distance Control and listed for $97,975.00 in 2002.

In 2003 I had a 3M clear bra applied to the front of the car which also includes the rear view mirrors.

In 2009 I had a recommended Maserati professional install a Kenwood KOS-V500 portal system installed.  Included were a Garmin Nav system, USB iPod, iPhone, iPad direct connection and have since added an Apple Lightening adapter, i.e. it works with all Apple devices.  Also there is bluetooth capability, and Sirius satellite radio.  All of these are Kenwood modules.  These extra modules are installed below the front seats. The new bezel was custom crafted with perfect color match and no seams around the bezel.  A switch was installed in the glovebox to switch from the Kenwood system back to the Maserati trip computer if desired.  A JL Audio HD 600-4 150Wrms x 4 ch HD Amplifier was installed also.  The front speakers were replaced by Focal 165KRX2 6.5" component speakers and the rear seat speakers were replaced with Focal 165KRC 6.5" coaxial speakers.

This car was my daily driver until I retired in 2006.  Because I like to track automobiles at the time, I began the process to transform and update this Maserati so that I could enjoy tracking this car.  First, the rear exhaust box was replaced by a Tubi SS Competizione Exhaust System. Then the exhaust system from the end of the headers to the Tubi box was replaced by Larini exhaust tubing and Larini Sport catalytic converters.  The suspension was updated by a Formula Dynamics(FD) Drive by Wire (DBW) enhancement module and a FD ECM Performance Chip.  A switch was also installed in the glovebox to be able to switch between stock and enhancemented performance.  The sparkplugs were replaced by iridium plugs and the air box was replaced with a BMC air filter.  The horsepower and torque of the Ferrari manufactured V-8 are significantly enhanced. These enhancements can be viewed on FD's  website and discussions on the Maserati Life forum website.

The Brembo brakes standard on this car had their pad replaced by FD Carbon/Kevlar Performance Street Brake Pads.

The suspension was addressed by installing FD Performance Sports Lowering Springs and FD a Performance Wheel Spacer Kit.  Then I had the car shipped off to Atlanta and Franz Blam Racing where the wheels were corner weighted and the suspension adjusted at Road Atlanta by this firm.  Franz Blam Racing is well known as a factory sponsored Porsche team (Flying Lizard) ALMS racing.

As you view the photos, it is really hard to tell these enhancements have been made to a stock car.  You can hear the difference and feel the difference when driving the car but it is perfectly street legal.  The good part for the buyer is that the car has only been tracked locally by myself once.

Why?  Due to a neck issue that developed 3/4's of the way through this car's transformation, medical advice forced me to give up tracking cars and also golf.  In other words, this is an unusual offer for a very well updated, performance enhanced, and well taken care of Maserati.

It is a bargain for anyone who desires this kind of car and frankly it is not getting enough "drive time" by myself.  Someone should enjoy and drive this car.  The names of all company principals who have helped with the maintenance and updates on this car I will provide for any research you may wish to do.

Sold As Is.  Shipping is at your pleasure, expense and risk. Please ask any questions you may have.

Pete Grady retiring from Chrysler, Maserati

Mon, Dec 8 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is about to lose one of its top executives as the president of Maserati North America, Pete Grady, has announced his retirement. A lifelong automotive industry exec, Grady joined the American Motors Corporation back in 1984 after graduating from John Carroll University in his native Ohio. After AMC was bought out by Chrysler, Grady started rising through the ranks under the Pentastar as a sales manager. He was named vice president of network development and fleet operations in 2009 and was shortly thereafter put in charge of the Chrysler Group's dealer network. He continued to hold that position when he was named last year as the top man at Maserati North America. Grady will continue to hold responsibility for Chrysler's dealer network until his retirement takes effect on March 31, 2015. His position as head of Maserati's American office, however, will pass to the Trident marque's global sales chief Christian Gobber, who will hand off responsibility for the Chinese region to Mirko Bordiga but maintain his global portfolio. CHANGES AT THE TOP IN MASERATI NORTH AMERICA AND MASERATI CHINA Monday, 8 December 2014 – Effective January 1st, 2015, Christian Gobber will be assigned responsibility for Maserati North America, replacing Pete Grady, who has announced his intent to retire effective March 31st, 2015. Christian Gobber will maintain his responsibility for Maserati Global Sales. Effective January 1st, 2015, Mirko Bordiga will join Maserati and will be assigned responsibility for Maserati China, replacing Christian Gobber. Maserati further strengthens its sales and commercial structure in the two main markets for the Trident brand. Maserati CEO Harald Wester thanks Pete Grady for his dedication and achievements at the helm of Maserati in North America, and wishes all the best to Christian Gobber and Mirko Bordiga in their new positions. ### Chrysler Group's Grady to Retire December 5, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Chrysler Group today announced that Peter Grady has stated his intention to retire, effective March 31, 2015. In the interim, Grady will retain his current responsibilities as Vice President Dealer Network Development and continue as a member of the Company's NAFTA Leadership Team. In a move announced earlier, Christian Gobber will assume responsibility for leading Maserati North America, effective January 1, 2015.

Ghibli PHEV will launch Maserati's electrification offensive

Mon, Jan 27 2020

The hybrid variant of the Maserati Ghibli  announced in 2019 is allegedly scheduled to make its public debut during the 2020 Beijing Motor Show. The yet-unnamed model will launch the Italian brand's electrification offensive. Sources familiar with Maserati's plans told Automotive News Europe the Ghibli hybrid will greet the public for the first time when the Beijing show opens its doors on April 21. Going hybrid in China makes sense on several levels. It's an important market for Maserati, the current-generation Ghibli (pictured above) broke cover at the 2013 Shanghai auto show, yet it's a country it has struggled to gain a secure foothold in. Adding electrified options to its range could give its annual Chinese sales a big boost because officials are promoting cars with a plug to curb pollution. There's no word yet on what kind of hybrid technology the Ghibli will receive, though Automotive News Europe speculated it will be a plug-in setup capable of powering the sedan on electricity alone for short distances. Similarly, it's too early to tell if the Italian firm will drop a hybrid powertrain into the Ghibli as we know it and push it to the market, or if it will also make visual, tech, and other mechanical updates to the seven-year-old model. Maserati hasn't commented on the report, and it hasn't announced when the Ghibli hybrid will make its debut; it only pledged to release the model in 2020. Similarly, we don't know if the sedan will be sold in the United States yet. We've reached out to the company for clarification, and we'll update this story if we learn more. Looking ahead, every model Maserati releases will incorporate a degree of electrification. Some will be hybrids, we expect the existing Quattroporte and Levante models will receive gasoline-electric technology, and we know the replacements for the GranTurismo and the GranCabrio due out in 2021 and 2022, respectively, will be the firm's first battery-electric models. There's a new sports car right around the corner, too, and rumors indicate it will be aimed at the Lamborghini Huracan Evo, but we'll need to be patient to find out what's under the camouflage. Step inside the secret lab creating Maserati's future

Sun, Nov 24 2019

MODENA, Italy – Driving Maserati's raucous GranTurismo MC and the effortlessly quick Levante SQ4 back to back feels like traveling through time. Horsepower doesn't go out of style, but a user interface quickly does, and the GranTurismo looks like it's from another era in that respect. Designers, engineers, and executives are busily orchestrating a transformation that will ensure the 105-year old firm's next leap forward is even more dramatic. Autoblog went behind the scenes in Maserati's Innovation Lab – which has never been opened to outsiders before – to find out how the looming metamorphosis will shape Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles' (FCA) flagship brand. Maserati is on the brink of a ground-up redesign that will take it into new segments of the market, and diversify its powertrain palette. We heard the term electrification used on many occasions during our visit, though company officials resorted to automotive omerta when we asked for additional details. An earlier product plan reveals every upcoming addition to its line-up will be available with an electric powertrain, and there will be quite a few cars to electrify. Historically a small, almost niche automaker, Maserati is on track to release five new models between 2020 and 2023, including a second SUV positioned below the aforementioned Levante, plus replacements for most of its current cars. Technology is playing a significant role in Maserati's renaissance. The company's four-year-old Innovation Lab is home to simulators capable of reproducing six months' worth of wear and tear in two weeks. Engineers can dial in a variety of situations, locations, and road conditions, ranging from a winding country road in France to a busy highway in southern California. They can digitally insert potholes, add rain or fog at the push of a button and remove either just as quickly, and put virtual prototypes on a long list of race tracks around the world, including the Nurburgring. Digital wind tunnels help the team test future cars well before they're built. This approach saves time and money, explained Luca Dusini, the man responsible for Maserati's vehicle dynamics testing and simulation. Making every dollar and each minute count is key to pulling off such an ambitious overhaul. 90% of development work is carried out on the various simulators, according to Dusini. This is significant, because Maserati is developing most of the technology it will pack into its future models from scratch.
