MG TF-1500 This matching number car is the most desirable of the T series MG s. It has a superb paint job, but there are a few chips minor chips. The paint is smooth with no ripples or defects. All new matching fender welting. Almost all exterior chrome is new, rechromed or is in excellent original condition. There is no rust and the wood is very sound. The upholstry is good vinyl and the carpeting is good. The dash needs refinishing.

The car was built in November 1954. The production numbers are Chassis TF8194 and Engine XPEG 2064. The production code is HDE 43.Restoration parts on this car exceed $15,000 not including the paint, painting and mechanical work. A list of the parts is available. There are 5 new chrome wheels, new tires, new bumpers, over-riders, trim chrome, badge bar with 2 original antique badges from England. The headlights, side lights, tail lights, license light and reflectors are all new or in excellent condition. All electrics work except the turn signal needs a new relay and the windshield wiper switch needs work, but the wiper motor is new.The top is new black canvas with matching canvas side curtains. The top frame and side curtain frames are all new. It has a new new vinyl tonneau cover. Running board trim, door hardware, windscreen wings, external mirror and interior mirror are all new. The interior has been partially restored with new seat vinyl upholstery, carpet, brake boot, new steering wheel. Some instruments are partially working rebuilt replacement tachometer and speedometer are included.

Mechanically the car is good. The brakes are solid and newly plumbed. There are all new brake drums and spindles. The clutch engages well and the engine starts and runs solid. All the gears operate perfectly and stay fully engaged. The shocks are either new or remanufactured and the exhaust is stainless steel. The hubs and spindles are all new as are the knock off spindles. The engine starts, warms, and runs smoothly. There is no smoke and only very small oil leaks normal to these cars. The car was once fitted with a heater so the correct plumbing is still there, but there is no heater. The mileage is probably near correct as it appears that the speedometer is the orignal the mileage counter works. Not much is needed to make this a show class car.
