Up for sale is my 1976 MG Midget convertible in British racing green with tan leather interior and black convertible top. It shows 62,460 miles on the 5 digit odometer. I don't know if this is original mileage, but looking at the condition of the car I believe it is. The paint shines like new, the hood has one very small ding but otherwise the body is in excellent condition. There are no scratches, cracks or chips in the paint. It does not appear that there have been any accidents. Body appears to be completely rust free and looks to be original sheet metal. Tires are all matching and like new with very few miles. The wheels are in really nice condition and are likely original. Driver and passenger window roll down manually and the vents open out very smoothly. Windshield has 3 windshield wipers and blades and work good. Doors open and close well. Key opens trunk and all blinkers / reverse lights work. Luggage rack in excellent condition. Top appears to be fairly new and looks great but has 2 small tears approximately 1 inch long each at the seam. Top opens and closes easily and locks into place securely.

Interior is very clean and appears to be all original. All leather interior was recently cleaned and conditioned. The dash is intact with no cracks or scratches. Appears to be original carpet and is worn underneath both rubber floor mats. The only things I have been able to find that don't work are the gas gauge and temperature gauge. It doesn't have a radio but does have 2 newer speakers installed in the back.

Runs great, absolutely no smoke, but it is a little hard starting after sitting but always starts. Manual choke works well. Transmission shifts good and the clutch feels good. Brakes are good, steering is tight. May benefit from a little carb tuning as it diesels sometimes after being shut off. Leaks a tiny bit of oil but I haven't looked to see where it's coming from, probably either the oil pan gasket or rear main seal as it looks to be toward the back of the motor.

Car is in very good to excellent condition and described as accurately as possible. However, I am not a professional mechanic and I recommend you inspect it prior to bidding to verify condition. This is a great classic car that is sure to go up in value and a cheap way to get into the collector car market!
