I think this is one of the first midgets rolled out of the Morris garages in the 1960s, a pretty red convertible that is difficult to find! The car has the 1098 CC engine and original carbs, gauges, and wire wheels. Car has 72k miles. I also have the original seats and racing seats for the car. I'm a tall guy so the racing seats give me a little more leg room. The car is in good shape, but isn't "show ready". There is a small dent on the passenger side fender and some small surface rust spots around the fuel tank cap. The paint is in fair condition overall. The chrome bumpers also have quite a bit of pitting also. The interior of the car has been mostly carpeted recently and one of the door panels has been removed. I was in the middle of having custom door panels made but never quite finished it. I have all of the hardware for the door however. The car is in really good condition for being 50 years old, but keep in mind, it is an OLD car.

Currently the car runs and drives nicely. I have installed a new starter and ring gear, new fuel pump and filter, new distributor cap and spark plug wires. New transmission speedo gear, and all the top engine seals replaced and a monza exhaust has been installed. I've also installed a new turn signal control lever to get all the lights and signals in working order. The speedometer is the original "earth-positive" and has been professionally re-wired to work with a traditional "earth-negative" electrical system. The fuel gauge worked last summer but started to flicker this summer and hasn't been working lately. The water temp gauge also stopped working after I pulled the radiator and flushed the system.

I'm leaving for college in a month so I need to sell my project car to help pay for tuition and a new computer. I also have lots of parts and a larger 1800cc engine for the car that could be negotiated with the sale if someone wanted to to really beef this car up. This is a great project for anyone with a little mechanical inclination and is road ready. The car is for sale locally so I may have to end the auction at any time.
