The MGB is coveted to this day by countless collectors and fun-loving folks who, love the stylish British Roadster that is easy to maintain thanks to it's simplicity and and an after market parts industry that provides affordable spares aplenty. This is an exceptional car and a prime candidate for any MG collector or enthusiast who looks for a quality vehicle to add to the stable. It's a low mileage car that appears 100% bone stock (except for the stereo and possibly the seats, which might be from a later model) chrome bumper MG, and retains all of its factory-original interior. Aside from one repaint in the original Tartan Red color, it's a car as original as it gets. With only 54,062 miles currently showing on the car's odometer, engine runs very strong. It doesn't use any oil, smoke, or make any unusual noises, and amazingly especially for a British car everything works-dash lights, heater, interior light, wipers, signals, etc.etc. I drove it on a 320 mile trip to Oregon last week end with no problems and had a blast. The Bodywork fits the survivor description perfectly. The car is very straight and appears to be free of corrosion. MGBs were manufactured for 18 years and underwent many changes, especially to the interior. It's fascinating to behold the original design in its unadulteraed, unmodified state. The pre-1976 cockpit is generally considered to be the most beautiful layout, charming, simple, but not austere -- right up there with the early Porsche 911 when it comes to sporting looks paired with functionality. Driving an early MGB is an exhilarating experience. It's hard to describe to the pure joy you feel when putting this vintage sports car through its paces. The direct connection between man and machine that the MG delivers is just not possible with today's cars. This B starts easily, idles smoothly, steers and shifts wonderfully. The car sounds marvellous and responds eagerly to the driver's input. Wherever you park, a crowd of admirers usually forms and this car receives many favorable compliments. Being an early example of England's most popular Sixties sports car, it is a true bargain for an enthusiast who appreciates the value of a collectible MG.
