1969 MGBGT- This has been a Georgia car it's whole life. The car is fairly complete.The White color is original to the car. It was originally an Air-Conditioned car but most of those components are not present. The rust on the body panels is just on the surface and quite superficial.
The old gentleman I bought this car from had owned it since the early seventies (I have several insurance cards to back this up). It has sat for over 20 years, the last three years in a dry garage.
The passenger front toe board has some rust but could easily be patched. The driver's floor has some rust through but could easily be repaired. The sills are very solid, as you see in the pictures. The passenger side rear lower fender could use a dogleg patch. What rust this car does have is from sitting, not from driving, hence the floors being the way they are but the sills and rockers being so solid. The spare tire well has surface rust but no rust through as far as I could tell (see pictures).
The wiring harness is in great shape and seems unmolested.
The gearbox is the original bulletproof 4-speed and not the Overdrive type.
The engine does not turn over and seems to be stuck. I would recommend a rebuild even if it did turn over due to the length of time it been since it has been driven.
If you ever wanted an MGB GT to restore, this is a great candidate. Really nice GTs are becoming more and more scarce and this one represents an opportunity to do one right.
