2010 Lotus Evora S Coupe 2-door 3.5l Supercharged on 2040-cars
Irvine, California, United States
Selling my 2010 Lotus Evora That I purchased 2 years ago from Lotus Dealership. I'm the second owner of the car and the car already had close to 7K miles when I got it. This car is a bit special as it was featured it TOP gear USA when Evora was introduced to US market back in 2010. The car is considered the launch Edition which was basically loaded with all options including Tech, Sport , Backup camera and few other options.
Since purchase of the car It always missed that extra power that I wanted in my sports car and I ended up supercharging the car using the factory kit. The kit was purchased from Lotus Racing and it was fitted by VSA motor sports in Los angeles. The car was finally tuned by BOE Fabrication and There is a tuning cable that car put the car back to factory power or run the after market tune which puts the car at 400HP. Many modifications was made to make sure the car runs clean and cool for better performance. I also upgraded most of interior parts to the 2013 spec parts for better looks. Front and rear brake Rotors and Pads were just recently changed and it only has 100 Miles on it. The front rotors are Racing floating rotors that are perfect for tracking and they are about 2LB lighter than the stock ones. Clutch was changed when the car was supercharged and it only has about 8K miles on it. I'm selling the car as My McLaren MP12C will be delivered on the 25th. I'm also selling my lotus Elise so please make sure to check out that auction as well if you are interested. This car is probably one of the few Evora's that has the look and power to match its looks. Kimi Raikkonen to miss rest of season for back surgery
Sun, 10 Nov 2013Formula One drivers keep themselves in peak physical condition, such are the demands placed on them in order to do what they do. But otherworldly as their capabilities may be, they're still human, and that means they get injured or sick just like the rest of us.
Case in point: Kimi Raikkonen and the announcement made today by Lotus that he'll have to sit out the rest of the season in order to undergo back surgery. That means Lotus will have to find a replacement driver for the last two races in Austin and Brazil while Kimi has and recovers from the operation.
Though we wouldn't debate the legitimacy of Kimi's condition or the necessity to rectify it, the timing is sure to raise some eyebrows. Raikkonen has been at the center of a pay dispute with Lotus, and while the situation was reportedly resolved, his decision to undergo what is said to be elective surgery at this point in the season (as opposed to waiting until its end) raises some questions as to his commitment to the team he is leaving and his team's financial commitments to him in turn.
Lotus Evija shown in John Player Special livery at Goodwood SpeedWeek
Fri, Oct 16 2020Goodwood SpeedWeek is here, and Lotus is using the event to highlight the upcoming Evija electric hypercar. Lotus is calling this the car’s “public dynamic debut,” which is relatively true, though the lack of a public audience at Goodwood does put a bit of a damper on the idea. Regardless, the livery used to wrap the Evija is what truly caught our attention. For those familiar with Lotus racing liveries of the past, youÂ’ll immediately recognize it as a modern take on the John Player Special livery. Lotus even photographed the Evija in this livery sitting next to a few old Formula 1 cars wearing the original John Player Special digs. Black and gold just looks proper on a Lotus racecar, and it looks absolutely superb on the Evija, too. Since this is technically a dynamic debut, Lotus also gave us a short video that you can check out below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. The most intriguing part is the audio. Those electric motors are loud. It canÂ’t come close to matching the yowl of a high output gasoline engine, but the Evija is clearly going to make its own dramatic, electric noise. ThatÂ’s all well and proper, because extra theater is what electric cars typically lack. In an adjacent news brief, Lotus detailed some of the things it did to save weight. Lotus believes that “Colin Chapman would agree the Evija is 100% a true Lotus.” To make it so, Lotus says the carbon fiber monocoque is extremely light, weighing in at just 284 pounds, contributing to making it the lightest electric hypercar when it comes out (not as though thereÂ’s much competition). Using holes and free space contributed to the lightweighting efforts, too. The venturi tunnels through each rear haunch both save weight and produce downforce. The center console design and floating dashboard leave tons of empty space behind where weight would accumulate otherwise. LotusÂ’ crossbeam design for the dash helps it serve as a structural member and also houses the interior ventilation system, combining two elements into one and saving weight. Lotus says youÂ’ll be able to see the Evija attack the Supercar Run on SpeedWeek, where it will attempt to set a fast lap time against many other new supercars and hypercars. Related Video:
Behind the scenes of Lotus' spectacular truck-over-F1 jump
Mon, Nov 24 2014A Lotus F1 car and the truck in which it's transported may both be powered by Renault and share a common JPS livery, but as far as size and performance are concerned, they're at opposite ends of the spectrum. So if you had to jump one over the other, you'd think it'd be a no-brainer to skip the single-seater over the tractor-trailer. Right? Well that may be the more logical conclusion, but it's not the way the Lotus team and its technology partner EMC decided to go for this latest promo. Instead they jumped the semi over the grand prix car. The stunt was obviously geared towards publicity, but while they were at it, they set a Guinness World Record for the longest truck jump at 83 feet, 7 inches. The previous record, according to Guinness, stood at 50 feet, 6 inches, and was set on MTV's Nitro Circus on November 17, 2008, by Gregg Godfrey at Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City. That record stood for six years, but (as best we can tell) was set without the trailer attached, or the F1 car tracking underneath - which only makes this latest stunt that much more impressive. You may have seen the promo clip circulating the interwebs late last week, but we've included a making-of video below as well to show how the stunt team managed to pull it all off.
