1994 Lotus Esprit S4 on 2040-cars
Orinda, California, United States
For more details email me at: sonnyssshelite@ukhelp.com .
Up for sale is a 1994 Lotus Esprit S4 that has been updated to the look of a 2003 V8. You will not find a cleaner
Esprit and none more sorted out than this one! Car has 95,XXX miles but everything is new! All maintenance work and
mechanical work was done by the reowned Lotus Prepared by Claudius. AC blows cold and heater blows hot. Back in
1994 this car was blistering fast with the factory claiming it's 0-60 time of only 4.7 sec and a top speed of 170
mph. Still not too bad by today's standards and can keep up with the best of the best. This may not be a super car
but it is an exotic. Head turner, people are always taking photos of the car on the freeway. I have paperwork for
all work done while in my possession.
The following was done within the last 2,000 miles:
- Brand new engine including all sensors, engine mounts, and with forged pistons and ARP studs,
- New water pump,
- All new belts,
- Brand new brake system replacing the troublesome and discontinued GM brake switch and I am not talking about
rotors and calipers, I mean the ENTIRE brake system,
- Brand new STAINLESS STEEL gas tanks,
- New adjustable struts from firmness to ride height,
- New hoses and plug wires,
- New seals for Transmission,
- New fuel pressure regulator,
Other things done while in my possession:
- S4s Chip bringing an already light car to over 300HP boosting 1.2 bar.
- V8 Seats in mint condition,
- V8 door cards in mint condition,
- New Raid Steering wheel with airbag replacing the ugly GM wheel,
- New floor mats,
- New 2003 LED Tail lights and panel,
- New custom HID head lights and fogs.
- New custom wheels made specifically for the Esprit. 18x9F and 19x11R, tires are 235/35F and 305/30R
- V8 Wing,
- V8 Antena,
- New radio with blue tooth and USB input,
- New Brembo Brakes up front,
I have not gone cheap on this car. I am sad to have to let it go to make room for a new car that I have my eye on
but also in zero rush. I will let the photos tell the story.
Only small issue is that there is a faint fuel smell when the tanks are filled full. I believe it is the gasket at
the top of the tank for the fuel gauge sending unit.

Race Recap: 2013 Bahrain Grand Prix follows the template of this year and last [spoilers]
Mon, 22 Apr 2013The sand, the wind, the penalties, the contact and the one crash - all of them collided to make the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix a surprise affair from day to day and lap to lap. Oh, and did we mention the tires? Pirelli made a last-minute swap after the amusement park ride that the Chinese Grand Prix turned into with the soft compound tire, and brought medium and hard compounds to the desert. That didn't stop things from falling apart for some teams - literally - and that didn't stop the one team that seems to love the hard compound Pirelli tire.
Lotus offers Exige S Roadster for sale, but not in North America
Thu, 23 May 2013The first thing you need to know is that this is the Lotus Exige S Roadster, unchanged from the Exige S even in price and officially the fastest convertible Lotus has ever made. The second thing you need to know is that if you live in the US, you won't be getting this car.
Now that that's out of the way, the lack of a roof, rear wing and front splitter help make it 22 pounds lighter than the coupe, coming in a 2,565 pounds, and the supercharged 3.5-liter V6 in this topless blossom discharges 345 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. For historical comparison with a non-convertible, those numbers nearly match the 2004 Lotus Esprit V8 Final Run edition - which had twin Garrett turbochargers. Yet the Exige S gets from a stoplight to 60 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds, nearly a full second quicker than that Esprit. Fair play, though, the Esprit did weigh 3,040 pounds.
It will be fitted with a six-speed manual only, and cost 52,900 pounds ($79,667 US), 55,378 euros ($71,404 US) or 8,500,000 yen ($82,078 US), depending on where you live. Here in the US we'll be sticking with the track-only Exige V6 Cup and Cup R models. The press release below offers more on the fine points.
Lotus spotted testing more extreme Elise on the Nordschleife
Tue, 19 Aug 2014If we had a nickel for every version of the Elise that Lotus has rolled out over the years, we might actually have enough spare change to buy one ourselves. And we're not even talking about the entire separate models (like the Exige and Europa) that Lotus has based on the Elise's platform or the other automakers' cars (like the Tesla Roadster and Hennessey Venom GT) that have used the same. And now Lotus appears to be testing another one.
Spotted lapping the Nürburgring, what we're looking at here appears to be the track-bound Elise S Cup R, but our intrepid paparazzi by the side of the track tell us it's missing the switches for the battery isolator and fire extinguisher. In their place, this Elise is wearing an even bigger rear wing as part of an altogether rather aggressive aero kit - not to mention a rockin' matte red wrap.
All of these telltales make us think Lotus has something extreme in the works, and we could find out what exactly it is as early as the Paris Motor Show in October, so stay tuned and watch this space.
