2009 SUPERCHARGED ELISE, low miles 17,458 absolutely great running car, Zero damage The title is branded flood here in Canada so I,m selling it as A track car. with the supercharged engine its a great head turner and does 0-60 in 4,3 seconds. A previous owner submerged the car up to the top of the seat bottoms and the insurance company wrongfully wrote it off and branded it. That brand here requires water to be up toi the dash bottom which it wasnt and since most domestic vehicles have airbag modules under seats tons of wiring components running along the floor boards the insurance companys take no chances. What they forget is the lotus platform is a very minimalistic one with low weight being the main objective. Therefore there are no components or modules or anything below the dash board. The water line wasnt even up to the oil pan hence absolutely no wiring, engine components or otherwise were exposed to water. I,ve put over 1000 mniles on this car testing it out preparing to ship it over seas where our brands arent recognized, nor should it be as the water on bare alluminum has no impact.Thought I,d test out the market here in the U.S. though before incurring shipping costs for overseas then cutting in a distributor there who could get the car certified as fit there. Make an offer, I can bring the car to Port huron for viewing and you can have it checked out professionally, you wont be disapointed.

Lotus slated to stop selling Evora in US
Mon, 22 Sep 2014It's been three years now since Lotus stopped selling the Elise and Exige in North America, leaving the Evora as its only model available Stateside. But according to the latest from Car and Driver, even that model is on its way out.
The problem reportedly comes down to air bags. Lotus was granted a temporary exemption from fitting the latest-generation smart airbags to the Evora, but that exemption is set to expire at the end of the year. And once it does, Lotus apparently has no intention of developing and fitting the proper equipment to allow it to continue selling the Evora in the United States.
Once the Evora is gone from our market, Lotus will be reduced to selling only track-bound versions of the Elise and Exige in the US, so the prospect of actually buying a new Lotus and driving off the dealer lot will vanish into thin air.
Miami real estate investor selling world's largest collection of Bond cars
Tue, Feb 25 2014In 2011 Miami real estate investor Michael Dezer bought dozens of cars used in the James Bond films from the Bond Museum in Keswick, England. Since then, he's added to the trove which now stands at 59 cars, as well as motorcycles, boats, jetskis, tanks and thousands of photos, posters and memorabilia. It is the largest collection of 007 cars in the world, and Dezer has put it up for sale for 20 million pounds ($33.25M US) - the caveat is that you have to buy the entire collection. But what a collection it is. Among the six Aston Martins are the DB5 from Goldeneye, the Vanquish from Die Another Day and both V8s from The Living Daylights. There is also the Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved Me - not the Esprit submarine that Elon Musk bought last year at auction, but the pre-dive roadgoing car. The new owner of the collection will keep things up to date with the Audi A5 and the Land Rover Defender 110 from the opening scene of Skyfall, and properly varied with the dragon tank from Dr. No, the Fairey Huntress yacht in From Russia with Love, and the chopped-in-half Renault 11 from A View to a Kill. Former CEO Bahar files $10.6M suit against Lotus

Fired Lotus CEO Dany Bahar is reportedly suing his former employers for some $10.6 million, claiming that the automaker and its Malaysian owner, DRB, broke the law when they dismissed him. According to a report by Bloomberg Businessweek, DRB and Lotus will defend themselves in court rather than settling, including filing a countersuit against the former top executive.
Bahar, 40, was canned on June 7, about two weeks after Lotus suspended him pending an investigation into his conduct. The report cites a Kuala Lumpur stock exchange filing as its source of the information; the filing also indicates that DRB has decided against selling Lotus, despite continuing losses.
