Hard-to-find model! This is the California Collector's Edition.
This Toy is in excellent condition inside and out. The parts used to rebuild this vehicle were original Lotus Parts purchased brand new from a local Lotus Dealership in Georgia and we are willing to show receipts for parts purchased for this vehicle. The vehicle is not perfect it does has some small flaws in the body work on the hood that you would need to have a magnifying glass to see.  This vehicle went through a rigorous Georgia inspection prior to the issuance of the Georgia Rebuilt Title. This vehicle was sent to an alignment shop and had NO issues and is PERFECTLY aligned. The clutch on this vehicle is tight. The overall power train is in EXCELLENT condition. The paint on this vehicle is PERFECT!  Inside is great as well with the hard to find combination red & white ("ONLY A FEW MADE"), Leather, Cup Holder, Push Button Start, HARD & SOFT TOP. The fog lights were removed to give it more SLEEK look. (This was done professionally.) The last picture you will see on this car is a "BEFORE" picture this picture was taken a couple of days prior to the start of the rebuild process. If you would like more pictures of this vehicle whether is be from before it was rebuilt or of it now... please do not hesitate to ask. Lotus announces race-ready Exige V6 Cup and Cup R

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

Lotus has pulled off the wraps on two new versions of the Exige: the V6 Cup and the V6 Cup R. Based on the Exige S, the V6 Cup is built to be a dual-purpose street and track machine. The 0-60 dash should take just under 3.8 seconds thanks to a full 345 horsepower from a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine. Weighing in at 2,380 pounds, the V6 Cup should be an absolute riot to drive, and with a full FIA-approved roll cage, fire extinguisher and six-point race harnesses on board, it's plenty safe, too. Two-way adjustable dampers are standard, as are AP Racing four-piston calipers on all four corners. More importantly, drivers can expect to find the Lotus Dynamic Performance Management system in the cockpit, complete with Touring, Sport and DPM Off modes.
The V6 Cup R, meanwhile, is both lighter and offers more horsepower than the standard V6 Cup. The same blown V6 dishes out 366 horsepower in R trim, and the whole contraption tips the scales at 2,292 pounds. Of course, the same spate of race hardware is stock, minus the DPM system. A lightweight battery, track-spec tow loops and quick-release engine cover help separate the Cup R from its more civil sibling, as do performance brake pads and better oil and water cooling systems.
Check out the brief press release below for more information. Both of the new models are headed for a debut at the 2013 Autosport International Show.

Lotus stepping up to LMP1 in World Endurance Championship

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

Only a couple of years ago, it looked like the top tier of prototype endurance racing was in trouble. Peugeot shut down its program, leaving the LMP1 category all to Audi to dominate. Only six cars entered the Petit Le Mans in 2012, and the season was cut short. But the top class in the FIA World Endurance Championship has since blossomed. And it only looks poised to grow further.
Audi and Toyota will each be back on the grid this season, joined by Porsche. But the latest news has Lotus stepping up to the big leagues also. (Well, sorta: the German-run squad uses the Lotus name and colors, but has no more to do with the automaker than the Formula One team of the same name.)
The Lotus LMP1 will be based on the same Lola-based T129 chassis used until now in the LMP2 class, with former F1 driver Christijan Albers leading the driver lineup. In addition to Audi, Toyota and Porsche, the solitary Lotus entry will also compete against privateer Rebellion Racing in a nine-car LMP1 grid throughout the season.

Lotus Exige S Roadster coming this summer to a circuit near you

Wed, 01 May 2013

We haven't heard much about the Lotus Exige S Roadster since we first saw it at the Geneva Motor Show last year, but Lotus is now confirming the car will go on sale this summer. Of course, unless anything has changed since the car was introduced, Lotus' "ultimate roadster" will still not be coming to the US.
Lotus has released a new video showing its 345-horsepower roadster in action, and while it doesn't even show that much of the car, you can check out our live images of the Exige S Roadster in our gallery. The video, which looks like a knockoff of a Universal Studios movie trailer, is posted below.
