2005 Lotus Elise Convertible, Beautiful Car - No Reserve Auction!!!! on 2040-cars

I'm selling my 2005 Lotus Elise. It is red with tan leather interior and a black soft top. It has power door locks and windows. This is a beautiful car that gets compliments everywhere I go, and it is extremely fast. But now that we have our third child, it just does not get driven enough to warrant me keeping it. Note that this Elise does have a restored title. I do not have much info on the accident as it was 2 owners ago. The only thing I was told is that it was hit on the driver's side clamshell, but it was professionally repaired and passed inspection to get the Restored Title. The car looks and drives great. I have had it for a year and a half with no issues. The only thing I had done was to replace an Oxygen sensor that went bad about a year ago. The car drives great, looks great, and runs great. There are a few small rock chips near the bottom of the front and rear fascia (from normal driving) so it's nothing that you would't see on any other 2005 Elise. They are not noticeable unless you are a few feet away from the car and trying to look for them. The rear tires have approximately 80% tread on them and the front tires have approximately 90% tread on them (see photos). Please do not bid unless you have cash or unless you already have financing in place. Since it is a restored title some credit unions will not provide financing, but most larger banks usually will... of course that is also dependent on your credit score. Since this is a Restored title it can be registered in any state (it is Salvaged titles that cannot be registered until the vehicle is repaired, passes inspection, and then is granted a Restored title). I require a $1,000 deposit within 48hrs of auction ending and full payment withing 7 days. I will help the best I can with any pickup/shipping arrangements that you want. I am located in the Southeast Phoenix area. If you are from out of town, I am willing to pick you up from Sky Harbor Airport. I can also help with setting up shipping if you decide to go that route. Lotus Exige S gets automatic transmission option
Sun, 26 Oct 2014A vehicle as light and agile as the Lotus Exige is all about driver involvement, but those enticed by the nimble sports car's handling and performance who aren't keen on working a stick shift now have another option at their disposal.
Lotus has just announced the availability of an automatic transmission on both the Exige S and Exige S Roadster. For an extra couple thousand euros or pounds sterling, customers will now be able to order a six-speed automatic transmission. The two-pedal setup includes paddle shifters and Sport or Race modes that optimize shifting for "a more spirited drive."
Equipped with the slushbox, the Exige S Automatic is just as quick around Lotus' famous factory test track in Hethel, and even pips the manual version's 0-62 time by 0.1 second, now down to 3.9. Unfortunately, since the Exige isn't available Stateside anymore, however, American buyers can't get their hands on either version.

Those given to parsing each year's F1 regulations predicted the strong possibility of the so-called "anteater" noses as far back as early December 2013. Highly suggestive visual evidence first came after Caterham's crash test in early January, with further proof coming as soon as Williams showed a rendering of the FW36 challenger for this year's championship. That car earned a name that wasn't nearly so kind as "anteater."
Casual followers of the sport - or anyone who gets the feed from this site - probably don't know what's happening, except to wonder why the current year's F1 cars are led by appendages that would make Cyrano de Bergerac feel a whole lot better about himself.
The short answer to the question of ugsome F1 noses is "FIA regulations and safety." The reason there are various kinds of ugsome noses is simpler: engineers. The same boffins who have given us advances including carbon fiber monocoques, six-wheeled cars, double diffusers and Drag Reduction Systems are bred to do everything in their power to exploit every possible freedom in the regulations to make the cars they're building go faster - the caveat being that those advances have to work within the overall philosophy of the whole car.
Lotus Evora 'Sports Racer' is oddly named and fully loaded
Thu, 20 Dec 2012Lotus has just announced a new Evora 'Sports Racer' model that is, well, frankly not much more sporty or racy than the standard Evora or Evora S. Instead, the British company calls the Sports Racer a "visually enhanced and optimized version" of both the Evora and supercharged Evora S. To unpack that a little: The new trim will get a new set of unique exterior colors and a revised interior treatment, and it's fully decked out with options.
The 'Sports Racer' will be available in the buyer's choice of Carbon Grey, Nightfall Blue and the Ardent Red that you see in the image above (the only image we've seen of the car so far). Gloss black accents set the model apart and can be seen on the roof, forged wheels, mirrors and rear badges. Inside, one may choose between black-leather sports seats with red piping and stitching, or a Venom Red leather interior with black piping and stitching. How naughty.
In terms of tech, the 'Sports Racer' gets Lotus' Sports Pack and its remapped throttle response, higher redline, more powerful cross-drilled brakes and a more aggressively programmed Dynamic Performance Management system. The stereo system is also upgraded from the basic Evora, with a DVD player and seven-inch touchscreen display thrown in for good measure.
