Surprised myself on Saturday. Bought a Hybrid and gained 4 extra feet in my garage.

If you know anything about these Town Cars, it was downhill for extras after 2003 - like the dual visors, extra pockets, motion detectors. This car has them.

I drive like a geezer, milk 19+ mpgs out of it and the car has had nearly a dozen years of avoiding door dings and rock chips. I also had the front license plate frame removed and the bumper filled & repainted beautifully.

It's white with tan leather interior, second owner, no smokers. Sparkling GREEN Carfax reports three owners. I say nay nay! Original elderly owner moved from Nevada to AZ and transferred the title into his son's name to expedite selling. So, really only two owners. He said he was inundated with lowballs and took it off Craigslist for a while. I bought it the day he put it back on Craigslist and I paid him exactly what he asked to his surprise... because it was exactly what I wanted. It’s like driving a sofa.

I have all keys including valet, perfect fobs, books and original window sticker.

Excellent curb appeal, strong daily driver and has plenty of rubber. I had a Pioneer system with Blue Tooth installed (have the book) and you can hear/feel this thing thumping a block away (if you look on the dash the radio face is removable). Recent battery, brakes, shocks and struts. 134,025 quiet & comfortable miles.

What’s wrong? I can't find the cigarette lighter, it has a defective but functional compartment latch, and one of three Homelink buttons is inoperable. There are minimal blemishes to the finish. The accident reported on Ebay was paint chips from a street sweeper and they used their insurance to pay for repairs.

Asking $4400 OBO. Private party. As is - no warranty, but CLEAN CARFAX! BUY BACK GUARANTEE IS AVAILABLE ON THEIR WEBSITE!

IF YOU HAVE THE CASH, LET'S GO FOR A RIDE! I will meet you at MidFirst Bank (7th Street & Thunderbird) you can look it over and go for a test drive.

The bank will count your cash and notarize the title for us if you want to buy the car.

If this is exactly what “you” are looking for, call or text Phil for an appointment ONLY 8:00 AM UNTIL 8:00 PM at 602-525-5260.

NO LOWBALLERS.

2020 Ford Escape, Lincoln Corsair ace crash tests, earn Top Safety Pick from IIHS

Fri, Nov 15 2019

The redesigned 2020 Ford Escape and its platform-mate, the 2020 Lincoln Corsair, have both just completed their bout of crash tests at the hands of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and while they did not emerge unscathed, they did come away with the agency's Top Safety Pick Award. One caveat: The rating only applies to the Escape equipped with the available LED headlights, which were deemed Acceptable. Similarly, the Corsair needs the available curve-adaptive LED headlights, also rated Acceptable, in order to achieve Top Safety Pick. The Escape's standard halogen headlights scored only a Marginal rating, while the Corsair's base LED headlights were deemed Poor due to glare. Those low headlight ratings knock the vehicles out of contention for Top Safety Pick. Had either vehicle offered headlights able to achieve a Good rating, that would have been enough to get them the agency's Top Safety Pick+ rating. Outside of their headlights, the 2020 Escape and Corsair acquitted themselves well. The Escape saw a big improvement in the difficult small-overlap front crash test, going from a Poor result in the previous generation to Good with the new one. The Corsair performed identically, and both achieved Good ratings in all six crash tests. The IIHS also tests automatic emergency-braking systems, and the standard and optional systems in the Escape and the Corsair both earned Superior ratings.

2021 Ford Escape PHEV finally reaches dealers

Fri, Oct 1 2021

Last October – which feels like both five minutes and five years ago – Ford had to push the Escape PHEV sales date back to this year. The holdup arose because Ford had to recall the Escape's European twin, the Kuga PHEV, over a fire risk thought to center on the high-voltage battery. At the time, a Ford spokesperson said, "We are moving full scale production of Escape PHEV to the 2021 model year. The first Escape PHEVs will be sold next year." With just three months left in 2021, a Ford spokesperson confirmed to Ford Authority that the Escape PHEV has finally made it to dealer lots. The end of the Escape PHEV's long and winding road comes about a week after the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring reached dealers. The compact luxury plug-in hybrid debuted at the 2019 LA Auto Show and was intended to go on sale in the summer of last year. But because it uses the same powertain as in the Escape, Ford had to delay the Lincoln as well.  Now that you can finally buy them, here's the quick recap. Both start with a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter inline-4 and an electric motor powering the front wheels, and a 14.4-kWh battery providing juice. The Escape makes 200 horsepower, can go 37 miles on all-electric driving, is EPA-rated at 105 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe), and returns a combined 40 mpg if the battery's dead. It starts at $34,320 before incentives. The Lincoln adds an electric motor with a single-speed transmission to power the rear wheels, as Toyota has done with the all-wheel-drive Prius, RAV4 Hybrid and Lexus UX250h. Output in the Lincoln is 266 ponies, it manages 28 miles on pure electric driving, is EPA rated at 78 MPGe, and returns a combined 33 mpg on gasoline alone. It starts at $51,485 before incentives. Annie Leibovitz goes Continental for Lincoln campaign

Mon, Oct 10 2016

Lincoln has a lot riding on the new Continental, and the company is now calling upon renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz to glam-up its new flagship. Her photos are part of a new series dubbed "That's Continental," which the automaker will use in high-end publications and on social media. Leibovitz's iconic photos have been used in magazines like Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, and she's photographed celebrities, politicians, literary icons, and landmark events. The new series for the Continental is Leibovitz's first attempt at car photography and it follows a road trip theme inspired by the trips she took with her father as a child. The photos for the campaign were shot in New York City with a group of non-professional models, including a musician, an artist, an actor, and a film director and his dog, Seven. "Annie Leibovitz is a photographer of substance," said Lincoln president Kumar Galhotra. "The rich, warm emotions her photos evoke, mirror the feelings we want our clients to experience on all of their journeys in the new Lincoln Continental." While we're still arguing over the Continental's looks, Leibovitz's pictures show the sedan at its best. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
