Very straight and nice driving Town Car. Good tires, engine, transmission, air conditioning, windows and electric seat, etc. work great. Only thing that needs fixed are the hood shocks that hold the hood up replaced. Dash is warped some but not cracked. Car is currently parked at Tucson International airport. Paint is somewhat faded but cleans up nicely. Some scratches, bumper rash etc. Interior very good overall condition. I am the third owner. Car has always lived in Palm Springs CA. except for last 7 months in Tucson. NO RUST ANYWHERE. Bought new by a Navy Blue Angels pilot who owned it for the first 15 years and keep at his house in Palm Springs. My best friend (Blue Angels pilot next door neighbor) owned it till last year when I took it as a partial trade from him for my 1997 Town Car. Currently registered in CA. Tags expired 5/8/2013 but I paid the renewal fee, just needs smogged to relicense in CA. I held off doing this in case buyer lives somewhere else other than CA. and I will pay for smog either way. Car can be driven anywhere no problem. If you need it brought back to Southern CA. I could do it for gas expenses. My only reason for selling is my work in Tucson is finished and I don't need another car back in CA. I have owners manual and some recent receipts.

Lincoln dons the Black Label
Mon, 17 Nov 2014
"We're really trying to simplify for the customer on their terms." - Paul Bucek
Lincoln is launching a Black Label service and customization program in December at 32 dealerships across the country in a bid to attract new and more upscale customers.
Lincoln MKC Concept shows real promise [w/video]
Sun, 13 Jan 2013Ford's efforts to resuscitate its moribund Lincoln luxury brand began in earnest with the introduction of its 2014 MKZ sedan, a model many labeled as the marque's make-or-break offering. Of course, one model does not a comeback make, and with the MKZ just now starting to trickle into dealers, it will be some time before America's jury of consumers comes in with their judgment. More to the point, it's likely to take better than a decade's worth of products and sustained marketing effort to even begin to figure out whether Lincoln has a shot at redemption or if it will die of Mercury poisoning. After all, rival General Motors has been pouring resources into Cadillac since the late '90s, and if the sales charts are any guidance, it's still probably too early to declare its rebirth a success.
Certainly, a brand with Ford's resources, free of distractions (read: the now-defunct Premier Auto Group and various other side projects) should be able to successfully market a single luxury brand, particularly one with such a rich - if distant - history. Especially now with the Blue Oval enjoying more consumer goodwill than at any time in recent history. So let's all give Alan Mulally and friends a little room to work, eh?
We can start by focusing on the compact crossover seen before you, the Lincoln MKC Concept. Riding atop the same global C-platform that underpins the Ford C-Max, Escape and Focus, the MKC showcar here presages a production small CUV that will stick its distinctive nose into one of the auto industry's fastest-growing segments.
Possible MKX concept teased as Lincoln confirms China expansion
Thu, 17 Apr 2014We've been speculating for years about the future of Lincoln. Some thought that Ford needed to kill the division like it did Mercury, while others saw the sales possibility in a brand with so much history. Ford has finally made a decision, and it wasn't what many people were expecting. Lincoln is launching in China this fall, with the brand rollout starting at the upcoming Beijing Motor Show. A new video hints that we might even get to see the concept for the next-generation MKX.
Lincoln is marketing itself in China as a customer-focused, high-end luxury ownership experience. To prove it, the Lincoln Space in Beijing is meant both as a prototype dealer and a grand show of its plans. The modernist structure looks more like an art museum than a car showroom, and the interior decor is like a high-end hotel lobby. The company says that every dealer is going to have license plate recognition technology that knows when an owner arrives, and there will also be a Personalization Studio where potential buyers can design their car with family. Lincoln is promising to have eight showrooms ready in seven cities by this fall.
Of course, a stylish showroom is nothing without cars to sell. Lincoln is promising five models on sale in China by 2016. The MKZ and MKC launch this fall. A midsize luxury SUV, a fullsize luxury sedan and the Navigator are coming later. All of the models sold there are being imported from North America.
