LOST OF WAREHOUSE SPACE FORCES SALE Up for sale we have a 1977 Lincoln
Continental Mark V Cartier Limited Edition. I have owned this car for a few
years. This is one of
the last engines made a 460. The engine runs very good but has low thumping sound at low speeds. The
automatic transmission shifts very smooth through out all the gears. The inside
is all there and seems to be original. Being a 34 years old car you might see
wear through out the car. Everything seems to be working fine except for the
antenna. Must sell before Virginia winter ruin car. Currently have rust bubbles on bottom of doors due to sitting for very long period. Car comes with regular tires. The outside body looks good except for lifts on hood from fly up. Not sure when or what was done to it, but it is pretty
good looking for the year! You can fly down and drive this baby back home with
no worries whatsoever!!! Advise for all buyers on eBay, remember your bid is a contract
and is easily enforceable, only bid if you intend to buy. IF YOU HAVE NO FEEDBACK DO NOT BID WITHOUT CONTACTING ME FIRST
OTHERWISE I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID! All feedbacks must be left upon pick-up.

Lincoln says MKZ supply crisis over
Mon, 25 Mar 2013After an excessive number of recalls on the 2013 Escape and Fusion, we can't really fault Ford for being a little extra cautious with the launch of the 2013 Lincoln MKZ. Last month, we reported that dealer supply of the car was extremely limited due to more attention being paid to quality checks of cars rolling off the assembly line, which led to a 73-percent drop in MKZ sales from last year on top of a 32-year low in monthly sales for Lincoln in January.
The reason for the delay was that the sedans were being shipped from the Hermosillo, Mexico assembly plant to be inspected even closer at Ford's Flat Rock, Michigan plant before they were able to head to dealers. Things seem to be straightening out for Lincoln and the MKZ's production now, as Automotive News is reporting that supply should be up to a "normal level" by the end of this month.
RWD Lincolns are coming, fate depends partly on MKZ success
Tue, 04 Dec 2012The product portfolio at Lincoln may seem a bit sparse at the moment, but if a report is to be believed, new products are on the way. TheDetroitBureau.com spoke with sources at Lincoln and Ford, who claimed the American premium brand is working on, perhaps more than one, rear-wheel-drive vehicle.
Lincoln would likely platform-share with the next-generation Ford Mustang to develop those RWD offerings in the early going. Moving forward, the report indicates that Lincoln could take the lead on other rear-drive projects in the future. As the RWD architecture continues to take shape, "most or all" of the front-wheel-drive portfolio will also be offered with all-wheel drive as an option, ala Audi.
But wait, there's more! The report also suggests that a replacement for the full-size MKS is on the way, as well as a new Navigator and a luxury crossover based on the current Ford Escape.
NHTSA closes rollaway investigation into 1.56M Ford SUVs
Mon, 11 Mar 2013It's taken four years of study, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has finally closed the books on its investigation into rollaway accusations surrounding 1.56-million Ford SUV models.
The probe, which centered on the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer and 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, ends without the federal agency calling for a recall. According to The Detroit News, the investigation was closed due to a "low number of complaints" - NHTSA documented 180 such complaints that resulted in 14 crashes and six minor injuries, but the number of incidents have been slowing. The suspected defect rate for the trucks' automatic transmissions was found to be 4.4 per 100,000 units, and the brake-shift interlock mechanism failure rate was judged to be even lower at 3.4 per 100k.
