For sale is my 1976 Lincoln Mark IV Emillo Pucci Designer Series. I bought this Lincoln from the original owner who puchased his Mark IV Lincoln in November of 1976. This Lincoln Started it's life in Norh Carolina and then the owner moved to Phoenix, Arizona where the Lincoln has been ever sense. The previous owner supplied me with all the maintenance and restoration records going back to 1994. I too was concerned about the high mileage until I went through the records and looked at the condition of the car. For a 38 year old Lincoln it is in very good condition. I have done the following repair to ensure the Lincoln was road worthy and safe.
I have four new tires installed
Changed the motor oil
Installed new rear brakes inculding one new rotor and caliper assembely.
rebuilt steering colume and installed a nice clean steering wheel
Replaced drivers door panel
This Lincoln Mark IV drives very well. Starts after two pumps of the gas pedal when cold, and auto choke works well. The engine runs smooth and cool down the Arizona road with no noise or issues. The Lincoln tracks well with no directional pulls or correction needed. The brakes stop this large vehicle well with out noise or pulling sensation. The transmission shifts through all gears smoothly with no hessitaion. The A/C is complete and converted to R134 but will require a recharge(blows Cool but not cold). All the power windows, sunroof, and seats work. Let review the condition of my Mark IV from a 1 to 10 scale 1 being the worst.
Exterior Condition (8) The Lincoln was repainted in 2007 and looks as good in person as does the photos. The car is a 5 footer and small imperfections can be found such as crack in the paint by the vinyl roof. a small bubble about the size of a pea on the left front fender. no body damage found or major rust issues. Vinyl top in excellent condition as well as the plastic bumper fillers. All trim is in place and undamaged but could use some trim clips in areas.
Engine and transmission (8) Engine and transmission operate well under idle and load. Blue smoke can be seen on initial start up wich is indicitive of valve guide seals. Have receipts showing R&R of engine and transmission in 2005. All oem equipment still in place and functional.
Suspension and Brakes(9) Rear brakes new and front brakes have 40% life. I have front end receipts showing ball joints and tie rods, alignment being done. Shocks are fair and optional to be done at this time.
Interior(7) A/C needes a recharge is the main reason I gave this Lincoln a 7. Seats are excellent, but have small tear in drivers seat about an inch long. Could be stitched up due to location of the seam. headliner is starting to sag above the passenger. As stated I replaced the drivers door panel due to sun damage and the steering wheel. The dash has cracks but is covered by a dash mat. The original stereo has been replace by an new AM/FM/Cassette and sounds good.
This brings the over all condition of this vehicle to an (8) Nada Classic Car guide gives this vehicle a low value of $5,850.00 and a high around $11,000.00 I have tried to descibe this vehicle as detailed as possible so not to give anyone a surprise. This is a beautiful Lincoln and will bring lots of attention at car shows.

Sunday Drive: Trucks and SUVs of all shapes and sizes
Sun, Nov 5 2017The American automotive marketplace is dominated by trucks and SUVs, and so was the last week of coverage on Autoblog. By far, the most popular story of the week was our First Drive of the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. It may look like an old-school lumberer, but in reality Lincoln's flagship is a thoroughly modern, turbocharged-V6-powered, three-row, luxury people mover. The Jeep Wrangler is the world's most recognizable vehicle. So it's no surprise that the next version looks a whole heck of a lot like the last one, and the one before. It's all in the details, which is why we were so excited when Jeep decided to unleash a trio of images showing both two- and four-door Wranglers for us to dissect ahead of the SUV's official debut at the L.A. Auto Show later this year. Past that, spy photos of the next Chevy Silverado and Ram 1500 were predictably popular. See both of those below, and the cap it all off, check out the entire week's worth of SEMA coverage – including the bonkers Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6 – in our mega image gallery at the bottom of this post. Enjoy! As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2018 Lincoln Navigator First Drive | From black sheep to flagship 2018 Jeep Wrangler revealed: First photos released before L.A. The 1965 Ford Mustang could have looked a lot different
Fri, May 8 2020The 1965 Ford Mustang is unquestionably an automotive design icon, and nearly every generation of Mustang has some connection to that original car. Because it's such a universally-known vehicle, we were amazed to see all the different designs that were being considered. Head of Ford's archives Ted Ryan recently shared photos of design proposals for the original Mustang on Twitter that he and Jamie Myler found, and we reached out to them to find out more. As Ryan initially noted, the photos were taken on August 19, 1962, and they are proposals for the Ford Mustang. Apparently Ford had committed to doing a Falcon-based youth-oriented car at this point, and it did have plans to launch the car in 1964 for the 1965 model year. But after having little success with early design proposals, the company asked all of its design studios — the Advanced Studio, Lincoln-Mercury Studio and Ford Studio — to submit proposals. With only about two years before the planned launch, Ford was understandably short on time, and it's believed that the studios only had a month to create and present these designs. Lincoln-Mercury design proposal View 8 Photos The majority of the designs, a total of five, came from the Advanced Studio, and part of this was because they already had a couple of concept designs in reserve it could present. Two other models representing three design possibilities came from Lincoln-Mercury, and just one model with two options came from Ford. The Advanced Studio proposals are shown in the gallery at the very top of this article, and the Lincoln-Mercury and Ford proposals are in the gallery directly above this paragraph. The Advanced Studio's most radical design is the one that was clearly related to the Mustang I concept that would be shown later that year with huge wraparound rear glass, turbine-inspired bumpers and enormous side scoops. The other proposals from the studio were more conservative, featuring simple lines, grilles reminiscent of the Falcon, and one even borrowing the jet-thruster-style taillights made famous on the Thunderbird. Lincoln-Mercury had some impressively bold designs, particularly its fastback that had buttresses to extend the shape all the way to the tail. This car had two different side trim possibilities. The other Lincoln-Mercury design was toned down a bit, but had two interesting possibilities for side detailing, as well as some crisp, low-profile tail fins.
