1972 Lincoln Mark IV. Second owner car with 82,250 original miles. Mechanically sound, it runs and drives great. Equipped with an Edlebrock 600 Carburetor, recently replaced starter, front brake calipers and pads. The front bushings were also replaced. Dual exhausts with Magna flow mufflers were added within the last six months.The tires have little tread wear. The set was purchased new and only has 10,000 miles on them. The Interior is in excellent shape except for the plastic side door panels. The drivers side is cracked and the passengers side is cracked and has been removed. The heater and fan motor works, but the A/C does not blow cold. The body is in great shape, but there are rust spots on the body and around the back window. It's a lot of classic car for the money! Please ignore body type "u/k". I don't know how to remove it from the description. |

Lincoln MKC prototype spied out testing
Wed, 20 Mar 2013As was the case with the Lincoln MKZ, it appears that Lincoln isn't wasting any time getting its newest model transformed from concept to production form. We just saw the MKC Concept earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show, and based on these spy shots, it looks like the final touches are being put in place for the 2014 Lincoln MKC crossover.
Sharing its platform with the Ford Escape, we can definitely see some similarities between these two compact crossovers when it comes to the roofline and daylight opening, but through the heavy camouflage, Lincoln's signature split-wing grille can easily be seen and it looks like the concept's taillights will also make it to reality. On the disappointing side, it looks like the integrated exhaust outlets are being ditched for some round outlets, and we can't tell if the production version will keep the Audi-like clamshell rear liftgate.

SNL, Jim Carrey late to the Lincoln MKC ad spoof party
Mon, 27 Oct 2014At this point, making fun of the Lincoln MKC ads starring Matthew McConaughey is getting pretty old, though apparently Lincoln loves it. The commercials have been airing for over a month, but Conan O'Brien, Ellen DeGeneres and even South Park have all taken their swipes at the spots with the smooth-talking actor monologuing about his new luxury crossover. Saturday Night Live might have finally killed the joke in its recent episode featuring Jim Carrey.
The problem certainly isn't that Carrey does a bad job in the spoofs, and he actually pulls off a pretty good McConaughey impression. They start out as pretty direct mimicry and slowly evolve into the absurd, including cracks at McConaughey's acting career and the way he rubs his thumb and finger together. Carrey certainly raises at least a chuckle at times, though.
However, the comedian's engaging performance can't take away from the fact that SNL has arriving to this mocking party pretty late in the game. The jokes just don't feel fresh anymore, so hopefully these ads put the final nails in the coffin for the riffs - at least until the next batch of Lincoln ads arrive.
