Milton, Delaware, United States

For sale, listing my 1969 Lincoln Mark III with 54,731 original miles. The car has always been garage kept since new. The car belonged to the original owner for 37 years until i bought it in 2006. This was always a local car in our town, i actually remember when "Mr Adkins" bought it brand new for his wife in '69. The car sat inside their brick two car garage it's whole life, last tagged in 1991 up until we got the car in '06. Upon getting the car we had it tuned up, new battery, went through the brakes, new brake booster and master cylinder, installed brand new dual exhaust, brand new Holly 600 carburetor, ( old one goes with the car )  new air shocks, four new white wall tires on the original rims, ( the rims on the car now don't go with it unless you want to purchase them separate ) The last picture shows the original wheel covers and tires that go with the car. We sent the fuel tank out to Moyer's tanks and had it redone, and installed a new sending unit, the car also has a few NOS parts installed such as turn signal stalk, tail light bezels, had front bumper corners re chromed too.
The car is very dependable, get in and go,The 460 runs great , i drive it to shows and cruise nights all the time. The car looks awesome, I had a beautiful fresh coat of black paint done on the cars already clean rust free body, i almost was not going to paint it but it had some scratches and a couple of door dings etc. and since i wanted to show it we had it painted.
The trunk lid letters go with the car along with a stencil of where they go if the buyer wants to put them back on , i told the painter to leave them off as i think it has a cleaner look without them. The only things i can think of that do not work are the passenger power window, dash lights, Air conditioning does not work, and the 8 track radio does not work.

Buyer is responsible for picking up or arranging shipping of the car.
The car is sold as is where is.
Your winning bid is not an invitation to just come look at the car, However you are welcome to inspect the car first.
A $100 deposit through Paypal is due within 2 days of auctions end.
Balance is due in cash only at the time of pickup, no checks.
I would like the car picked up within 10 days of auctions end, if you need more time we can discuss that.
I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
If you have zero feedback and just joined E-bay to conveniently bid on my car you need to move on, i will cancel your bids.

Ford announces free brake pad offer if customers stop by dealers

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

These days, when you buy a new car, it's not unreasonable to expect a certain period of free maintenance to come along as well. Sometimes this is through the life of the warranty, in other cases a little less. But Ford Motor Company is going beyond those deals for at least one part of its cars. As of now, if you buy a set of Motorcraft brake pads for a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury model, you get free replacements for as long as you own the vehicle. The offer is good at Ford or Lincoln dealers and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers.
"We will replace the pads for as long as you own the vehicle," said Elizabeth Weigandt to Autoblog. She did clarify that the Motorcraft pads are generally for models from the '90s or newer. Also, to take advantage of this program, a person must return to the same dealer each time to get the free parts.
Of course, Ford isn't just handing out brake pads to anyone who walks by; there are certain stipulations. First, the components have to be worn down to less than three millimeters to be eligible, and the buyer still has to pay for the labor to install them. If the model is used as a fleet vehicle for commercial purposes like as a taxi or limousine, this offer also doesn't apply; the same thing for racecars. On the plus side, if you recently bought a set of pads from one of the participating locations, you're still in luck. The deal covers parts purchased as of July 1.

Lincoln scales back free maintenance

Wed, 05 Jun 2013

Complimentary scheduled maintenance programs have been great tools for luxury automakers to draw in new customers, but some are starting to scale their programs back considerably. According to Automotive News, Lincoln is joining Jaguar and Volvo on the list of automakers reducing the length of time it will be providing free maintenance to its customers.
Lincoln's four-year/50,000-mile maintenance program first kicked off as an incentive in 2010 and became permanent later that year, but starting with the 2014 model year, this will be cut to just two years and 24,000 miles. This could make short-term leases even more appealing for some consumers, but according to Automotive News, some Lincoln dealers are unhappy with the scaling back. The move admittedly comes at an odd time for Lincoln, with parent Ford seemingly working hard to increase consideration among luxury buyers as it looks to reverse the marque's long decline.

Ford Q3 pretax profits drop to $1.18B

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Following positive third quarter financial results recently from General Motors, rival Ford took a tumble in Q3. The automaker posted pre-tax profits of $1.18 billion, compared to about $2.59 billion in Q3 2013, a drop of around 54 percent. Net income also suffered with $835 million made in the quarter, versus $1.272 billion last year, a decline of about 34 percent. The Blue Oval blamed the gloomy figures on three reasons in its release: "lower volume, higher warranty costs and adverse balance sheet exchange effects."
There were problems of one kind or another in practically every region. North America experienced higher warranty costs than expected, partially due to recalls. The sales volume for the quarter was 665,000 units, versus 725,000 in Q3 2013, and pre-tax results amounted to $1.41 billion versus $2.296 billion last year.
South America and Europe both posted worse pre-tax results than last year. On the bright side, European volume was up slightly to 321,000 vehicles, from 303,000 in Q3 2013. The Middle East and Africa also lost $15 million, but that was an improvement compared to the $25 million loss previously experienced in this region.
