2001 Lincoln LS 3.9L V8-32V This is a one non-smoking owner Lincoln LS that we bought for my wife in 2002. It was to replace our 1962 Lincoln continental of the same color. This car has been treated like one of the family since it was new, however we now have too many cars and this one needs a new home at 108,000 reliable miles. The car is an '01 LS which is loaded with all luxury options including Advance Trac stability enhancement system, a power moon roof, heated seats and the audiophile ALPINE entertainment system with 6 disc changer and an extra magazine. This stylish touring car is loaded with standard features also, which attracted us when the car was sold. They include 8 way power lumbar seats, auto dim rear view mirror / compass, folding rear arm rest, full wood and leather trim interior in as-new condition, dual stainless exhaust, message center, power tilt/telescope steering column, traction control, fog lamps, autolamp headlamps, independent aluminum front and rear suspension in a hard to find rear wheel drive platform. The car is very quick and agile with the independent RWD chassis. I also like the fact that many of the suspension and body parts are aluminum for less weight. We purchased a set of 5 new 17" factory silver star alloy wheels when the car was new and these have been on it for most of it's life. Right now it's wearing some very quiet and good performing Continental DWS tires which I have found to be of very good quality. The car has been maintained since new in my shop, we only used synthetic lubricants for the rear diff, automatic transmission and of course the engine which runs like new. I have replaced all of the ignition coils with Motorcraft FORD units as well as the valve covers and gaskets which are problematic on these cars. I have replaced the alternator once with an OEM Motorcraft part and also upgraded the automatic transmission valve body with the Sonnax spring kit to repair this problem area. The interior leather surfaces have been regularly treated with Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner and the hides are still in excellent codition throughout as you can see. There are a few areas that have tightened up from drying in the sun here of Florida and may eventually need attention but the interior is like new! Title is 3rd print, one to Ford Motor Credit, One to me in Massachusetts and one to me in Florida. The 21 records you see are annual inspections, required in Mass as well as only one minor bumper cover incident on the front of the car, see condition / description for details. Jeff 9418303137 |

2020 Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring First Drive | It's the plug-in hybrid one
Thu, Aug 22 2019NAPA VALLEY, Calif. — While we've already declared that the 2020 Lincoln Aviator is the real deal, that earlier first drive only covered the gas-only base version. Not that a 400-horsepower anything is typically considered "base," but it certainly becomes that when there's another version available, the Aviator Grand Touring, that's good for a cool 494 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. Frankly, it seems a little odd to fixate on output figures when the Aviator goes out of its way to push its accelerative capability into the background and instead focus on an altogether luxurious and effortless driving experience. But 630 pound-feet is a whole heap of torque that fully eclipses even the mighty BMW X7 M50i. The BMW has a twin-turbo V8 engine fettled by M Division, however. The 2020 Aviator Grand Touring is a plug-in hybrid. Unlike other gasoline-electric variants, this version does not take a smaller engine and add electricity. Rather, it starts with the regular Aviator's whole hog 400-horsepower twin-turbo V6 and sandwiches a 75-kW electric motor between it and the 10-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard, but it's a traditional system rather than one created by a rear-axle electric motor. With this approach, Lincoln is trying to create a range-topping model, not necessarily an eco-oriented one. The Grand Touring is the V12-powered Mercedes S600 to the regular Aviator's S500. It's best to think of it in those historic luxury terms, because despite the eye-popping output, this is still not a sport-tuned vehicle. Indeed, it's very possible that it's not actually that much quicker off the line than the regular version. Black Label - Chalet 3 View 30 Photos Lincoln didn't provide a 0-60 time, but the Grand Touring weighs 781 pounds more than a gas-only all-wheel-drive Aviator. Stuffing 96 lithium-ion battery cells under the second-row seat tends to do that. As a result, the hybrid's added electric wallop does in fact make it feel more powerful, but it's not the sort of face-flattening experience you might expect with that torque number. It's not that different. Well, in terms of acceleration, at least. There are actually some drivability issues. The throttle is difficult to modulate smoothly from a start, at least when driving in hybrid mode with the plug-in battery portion fully drained.
Ford and Lincoln owners can personalize their Alexa commands
Sat, Apr 9 2022Ford and Lincoln owners whose vehicles have hands-free access to Alexa don't have to stick to using standard voice commands if they don't want to. The automaker has rolled out enhanced Car Control capabilities, and with it comes the option to teach Alexa commands that reflect their natural way of speaking. For example, they can program in "Alexa, I'm cold," and then teach the voice assistant to respond by asking what course of action it should take, such as "I can increase the temperature by 5 degrees or turn off the AC. What should I do?" Another example of a personalized phrase would be: "Alexa, set the AC to full blast." The assistant can then ask the owner what they mean by "full blast." Training Alexa to respond to personalized phrases is made possible by the assistant's teachable AI technology. All vehicles with Alexa Built-in will get access to enhanced Car Control when it becomes available to them. At the moment, the models with access to the hands-free experience are the 2022 F-150, Bronco, Mustang Mach-E, Edge, the new Expedition, Lincoln Nautilus and revised 2022 Lincoln Navigator. The long-awaited 2022 F-150 Lightning will also come with the capability when it launches. Ford debuted the hands-free Alexa capability for its vehicles last year, marking the beginning of its six-year partnership with Amazon. As part of that partnership, it's giving its customers complimentary access to Alexa for up to three years that begin on the new vehicle's warranty start date. Ford Lincoln Technology Infotainment
2020 Lincoln Aviator fuel economy revealed
Tue, Jun 18 2019Ford finally revealed some of the last details, such as fuel economy, for the non-hybrid 2020 Explorer. So it's no surprise that its classier corporate twin, the 2020 Lincoln Aviator, has had its own fuel economy data released by the EPA. Though, like the Explorer, we only have information for the non-hybrid versions. The 2020 Lincoln Aviator has just two engine options, a base turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, and the same engine coupled to a hybrid system with 450 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. That base engine is the one we have fuel economy numbers for, and it's shared with the Ford Explorer ST, though the ST's version makes an extra 15 pound-feet of torque. With all-wheel drive it gets nearly the same fuel economy as the fast Ford with 17 mpg in the city, 24 on the highway and 20 in combined driving. The Explorer ST gets one more mpg in town. Unlike the Explorer ST, the Aviator does offer rear-wheel drive with this turbocharged V6. This model gets improved fuel economy of 18 in the city, 26 on the highway and 21 in combined driving. This isn't too surprising, since all-wheel-drive vehicles often do a little worse when it comes to fuel economy. We'll be especially curious as to how the Aviator hybrid performs. We doubt it will match the Ford Explorer hybrid, since that crossover relies on a less-powerful naturally aspirated 3.3-liter V6. But it might give the all-wheel-drive four-cylinder Explorer a run for its money, since the rear-drive V6 Aviator is only 1 to 2 mpg behind it. Related Video:
