1966 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL 4 DOOR CONVERTIBLE. THE LAST OF THE MOJICANS!!
I bought this car 5 years ago from the second owner in California, which he had in storage for 25 years. This is a true rust free California car. This car is black with a black top and white interior with black stitching. I had this car painted 2 years ago. I'm talking about: doors, hood, trunk, etc everything came off. Sand blasted to the bare metal, everything has been redone except the motor. It has a 462 in excellent working condition with a little over 83,000 original miles, with an automatic transmission. All the chrome was taken off, the bumpers, handles, moldings you name it came off the car to be professionally sand blasted and re chromed. The alternator, starter, battery, radiator, hoses, cables, a/c compressor , have been rebuilt or replaced. The air conditioner condenser that the 1966 Lincoln brings is made of metal. I had it replaced for a new one made of aluminum which makes the air conditioner cool better. I'm in Miami and its hot here in the summer. The interior and top are brand new done by professionals 2 weeks ago, exactly like the factory the door panel stayed the same to keep the original pattern. The tires are white walls which have less than 300 miles on them. When it comes to the top I have changed almost all of the relays and motors that make this incredible top mechanism function. Everything is in perfect working order. The window switches have all been replaced, even the small vent windows work perfectly . I have over $45,000 invested in this car. I can say from 1 to 10 this one is a good 9. It's not a ten because I use the car and it has small nicks and nacks on the paint here and there but very minor. Like any old car convertible when it rains it has small leaks here and there, very small just needs a little adjusting if you've had any antiques before all old cars leak oil here and there. I have spent $$$$ and replaced almost all the seals from the top and windows they have all been ordered from LINCOLN LAND IN LAKE LAND FLORIDA, which specializes on Lincoln's. I have a stack of receipts, you can bring your mechanic before you buy and you could see for yourself what a great running engine this is. I have described and listed this car as best as I could, it has been kept in a warehouse. I had a second radio installed inside the glove box and 4 speakers (1 in each door and the other 2 , 1 on each side) thats the only thing not original. I have seen a lot of Lincoln's on eBay and in the streets and NONE compare to this one. I entered them in 2 car shows, 1 last year, it was a charity event in Miami Coconut Grove Barnacle Park. Out of 75 cars it was voted coolest car and the 2nd was the Art Of Palm Avenue in Hialeah Florida over 250 cars it was voted Best in Show. I could tell you that this car turns heads from young to old, they will look anywhere you go. People love this car, I love this car!!!. A lot of love has been put into it, I have been through a lot to get it to where it is at today. But I have to let it go... my loss, your gain. If this is what you are looking for? AND CAN AFFORD IT?? Im asking $37,500, but will entertain serious offers. If you would like to come see it in person: I'm in Miami. Believe me, it drives like a dream especially on the expressway. "PLEASE NO DREAMERS!!!" "THIS CAR IS SOLD AS IN NO WARRANTIES!!!!" *This car is also for sale locally buyer has the right to end auction early, thanks* |

2018 Lincoln Navigator Review | 900 miles in mid-century opulence
Fri, Aug 10 2018PORTLAND, Ore. — Driving the 2019 Lincoln Navigator on my usual 80-mile evaluation route just wouldn't be sufficient. The quick jaunt through downtown Portland and out into wooded mountain roads couldn't possibly do justice to a vehicle intended for the literal long haul. All those seats; all that cargo space; all that comfort and opulence. What the Navigator needed was a road trip, so I took two of them — within five days, over 900 miles and a grand total of 20 hours and 17 minutes in the 24-way power-adjustable, massaging, ventilated saddle. The first journey would be from Portland down to Bend, Ore., and then working my way gradually back through central Oregon backroads. This included winding two-lane highways where the Navigator's excellent adaptive cruise control system maintained its distance (and my sanity) when stuck behind parades of Outbacks, before the 450-horsepower EcoBoost V6 of Raptor fame could dispatch them from across the dotted yellow line. Enough really can't be said about how masterful this engine is — so smooth, so powerful and so quiet. It's perfect for a Lincoln. It also got 20 mpg over the course of the full 900 miles, which compares to the EPA's 21 mpg highway rating. Pretty good given the mountainous terrain and the liberal throttle applied to keep up with a pair of substantially sportier cars I was trailing as part of a photo shoot. Not that the Navigator was really able to keep up with anything once the road got tighter and twistier through the lava fields of the Willamette National Forest. Though I still concur with my initial praise of the Navigator's independent rear suspension and steering that "provides consistent, appropriate and reassuring weighting," there's no getting around the laws of physics. This is a gigantic land craft pushing three tons that's best kept at a relaxed pace – also perfect for a Lincoln. As for the ride, which disappointed during my Navigator first drive in Southern California, the "omnipresent nervousness" I reported didn't really materialize on better pavement in Oregon and later in Washington. True, it's not quite as supple as a unibody Range Rover or Mercedes GLS would be, but it doesn't suffer from the near constant vibration over even the smallest bumps you get in a Chevy Suburban or GMC Yukon XL. On the subject of comfort, though, those 24-way front seats can't be ignored.
Ellen DeGeneres sends up Matthew McConaughey's Lincoln ad
Mon, 29 Sep 2014Lincoln had to have known that when it released its new ad campaign for the new MKC with Matthew McConaughey, it would open itself up to a bit of good old fashioned ridicule. The television commercial was, after all, good for a laugh or two. And true to their mission, talk show hosts haven't missed the opportunity to have a little fun at Lincoln's and McConaughey's expense.
Conan O'Brien was first to send up the television spot, but now Ellen DeGeneres has taken a stab at it too, superimposing herself in the back seat of the compact luxury crossover, downing some pot brownies and generally playing Costello to McConaughey's Abbott. It's worth a watch, if only to see Ellen getting down in her usual, offbeat style.
