Note: I am relisting this as previous winning bidder never even responded. Please do not waste my time or serious bidders time. If your rating is less than 10 your bid will be cancelled unless you email me with your contact information to ensure no scammers or deadbeats! Great opportunity to own a rare 1963 Lincoln Continental Suicide Door with Factory A/C at a reasonable price! Only 3,138 of these beauties were built and no telling how many are left! This 1963 Lincoln Convertible has had some restoration done but will need a lot of work to finish. The previous owner told me he started the restoration a few years ago and had the car painted but has been outside for 2 or 3 years which effected the paint on the trunk lid and hood and should be redone. Looks like the other panels might be ok with some buffing. He had the engine completely rebuilt by a professional shop in Orlando. I called them and they verified that they completely rebuilt it and in fact remembered that they had a hard time locating some of the parts. I asked for a receipt but they needed a date, which the previous owner did not remember, before they would dig through their files. I have their name and number.I have not started the engine or even attempted to turn it over since it has been sitting outside for so long. I have removed the plugs and filled each cylinder with marvel mystery oil and drained and replaced the engine oil as well. It will be up to the new owner to complete the process. It might be fine but I honestly don't know. Fortunately the interior was at the upholstery shop and not left outside. He had the interior redone as pictured which includes the front and back seats, front door panels and new carpet but never finished the rear door panels which I have with the car. We placed all the new interior pieces in the car for the pictures to show what it looks like installed which is beautiful. There is one small spot on the front seat that needs repair. The dash is very nice with no cracks. The floors are solid (see the pictures) although there was the start of rust on the front drivers floor which we coated with POR 15 which stops any current rust or in the future. I did find some areas of rust underneath the worse being at the left rear underneath the rear bumper area (this definitely needs to be addressed). There is some bubbling around the drivers side rear of the trunk lid that should be addressed. I saw no evidence of any accidents but am no expert. It seems like most of the trim is there but I do not have the time to go through the boxes of parts to see what if any parts are missing. Also I have no idea nor did the previous owner what condition the top mechanisms are in. I would just assume they will need work. The Data Plate reads Body - 74A...Color G...Trim 85...Date 12C...DSQ 16 which indicates it was originally Silver Mink Metallic with a red leather interior. The rare 1963 convertible with Air Conditioning is considered by many experts as the most desirable of any of the 61' to 67's convertibles. This is an opportunity to get into one at a reasonable price. *Please feel free toemail with questions and to setup an inspection of the car. Inspections musttake place before bidding not after. If you do not personally inspect the caror have someone inspect it on your behalf then you must agree to positive feedback.I say this because although I try to disclose everything to my knowledgeconcerning condition of the car my opinion may differ from yours oncertain issues. If you do not perform due diligence on this or any othervehicle then it would be totally unfair for you to leave negative feedbackand ruin my rating because you disagree with something you should have beenaware of before your purchase by having it inspected to your satisfaction ornot. If you are a serious bidder I will send you my phone number to answer anyother questions you may have. BIDDERS WITH ZERO FEEDBACK OR A FEEDBACK SCORE OF UNDER 10MUST ASK PERMISSION TO BID OR I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID. IT ONLY TAKES A FEWSECONDS TO ASK --- IF YOUR SERIOUS - SEND THE E-MAIL. Car is advertised locally and I reserve the right to close auctiondown at any time. This car will not be released until all funds arecleared. Deposits are not refundable. Overseas bidders arewelcome....I will help the transport truck load your car.

Amazon can now deliver packages to some Ford and Lincoln vehicles
Tue, Apr 30 2019Nothing succeeds without complications popping up along the way. Sure, Amazon's Prime delivery services have made shopping more convenient than brushing your teeth, but leaving millions of packages on doorsteps comes with an inherent danger: Thieves might swipe them without anybody knowing. Amazon's solution is called Amazon Key, which allows delivery men and women to enter a customer's house or car to drop off a package. This week, Ford and Lincoln announced they would be partnering with Amazon to integrate the service into some of their vehicles. Ford is following in the footsteps of Volvo and General Motors, as both companies announced their participation about a year ago. That includes Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC. Key will be made available for 2017-and-newer Fords equipped with FordPass Connect, and 2018-and-later Lincolns with Lincoln Connect. Key is not available everywhere, but it can be used in dozens of city throughout the U.S., and the network is expanding. To look for compatibility for your car and city, check on Amazon's dedicated Key website. Like every other tech invention these days, Key requires a smart device application, which requires a one-time setup. The service is available on the Key app or the FordPass and Lincoln Way apps. While ordering on Amazon, customers will then select in-car delivery during checkout. Input a public delivery address, and park the car within two blocks of that address. While the order is in transit, Amazon will provide status updates, another feature that takes away some of the anxiety of waiting for a package to be delivered. The package will be put into the car within a four-hour window, and users will get notifications that the exchange is complete, and the car is again securely locked. Should customers change their minds, they can always cancel the delivery method, and the car will remain locked. In that case, the delivery could go to the building where the car is parked, or be rescheduled. Ford imagines this as the beginning of numerous car-based services in the near future that can be scheduled while the owner is not there, such as car washes.
Ford announces bevy of recalls, 2 of which are recalls on recalls
Tue, 04 Nov 2014
Ford has announced five separate recalls, affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
Mulally wanted to kill Lincoln as late as last year, Fields vows to turn it around
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Lincoln fans might want to give incoming Ford CEO Mark Fields a pat on the back for having a hand in saving the brand from the chopping block last year. He's among the people spearheading the rejuvenation of the division away from its stodgy image to appeal to younger customers.
According to two unnamed sources speaking to Bloomberg, CEO Alan Mulally was ready to kill Lincoln last year. Following the slow production ramp-up of the MKZ combined a with a costly ad campaign, Mulally was frustrated and openly suggested dropping the brand. However, Fields and Jim Farley, Ford's marketing boss, convinced the CEO that the brand was worth saving. They also created a plan to prevent similar problems for new models in the future.
It seems that one part of the strategy may involve waiting until new models are at dealers before starting a big ad campaign for them. Lincoln global director, Matt VanDyke, recently told Autoblog that the division is holding off on a full marketing push behind the new MKC crossover to prevent the supply problems that plagued the MKZ last year. Its big offensive begins in the fall when the CUVs are at all of the dealers and consumers are at home watching more TV. VanDyke also told Bloomberg that Fields, Farley and Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of the Americas, have more direct oversight over new product launches now.
