Up for sale is this Pristine 2005 Lexus SC430 Roadster. This Lexus is had only 20,000 miles and its probably one of the cleanest ones out there. The exterior of this high-line vehicle is finished in Metallic Silver and complimented with the upgraded baseball glove brown leather interior. Unfortunately, this car was involved in a flood and its being sold with a salvage flood certificate from New York. I am not sure why the insurance company decided to brand this car a flood car because I can see no sign of flood damage anywhere on this vehicle.I dont believe any water touched this vehicle at all. We had our mechanics check this vehicle from top to bottom and there is no damage at all from any flood. We believe the vehicle was branded a flood simply because of liability reasons. This vehicle is perfect from top to bottom. I purchased this vehicle last year and ive been driving it with no problems at all.
This SC430 is in perfect mechanical condition and everything works the way it should, and I mean everything! Just watch my video and you will see for yourself! Every single light bulb lights up and every switch functions properly. Even the tire pressure sensors work the way they should. I have been driving this vehicle on and off and its a really nice driving vehicle. I put about 1000 miles on it and it runs 100% and gets about 24MPG! It turns heads where ever it goes and people are always asking me about it. This vehicle cost close to $70,000 when it was new!
All the detailing on the car was done and its ready for its new owner. Nothing has to be done to this car! You can jump in this car and drive it 2,000 miles back home without any problems at all. The car has 20k on it, which is very low for a Lexus, especially one this age. This car was maintained top notch and has always had its maintanence done. The oil changes are up to date and Mobil 1 was always used in this vehicle. This vehicle was also always dealer serviced by Rallye Lexus in long island NY.
This vehicle spent most of its life in the garage, so it was never subjected to a cold or wet climate. So, you know this car was maintaned the way it should and no expense was spared. This car just had its oil and tranny fluid serviced, has fairly new tires, new brakes, new rotors, and wiper blades. The tires are all matching Dunlop performance run-flat tires.
This SC430 is loaded up with all the rare options. It has the Mark Levinson sound system with a 6 disc in-dash CD changer, optional designer interior package, chrome alloy wheels, navigation, full power convertible hard top, xenon headlights, fog lamps, power tilt steering wheel, heated leather seats, traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, run-flat tires, heated power mirrors, on-board computer, hands free voice controls, wireless blue tooth cell phone, remote keyless entry with alarm, and all the power features you can imagine.
The car comes 2 keys and the remote key fob. We also have the original floor mats and the complete tool kit in the trunk, along with the trunk mat.
The exterior of the car looks like a brand new car would. There is no scratches, dents, or any other damage to talk about. Its super super clean. The paint shines like glass, you can see your face in it. All the rubber and moldings are in nice shape with no dry rot on them and no leaks. The interior of the car is immaculate. The seats are is fantastic condition and show no wear at all. The wood trims and leather has held up amazingly and it is all intact. The carpets and other panels are all in great shape and all the mechanicals and electricals are 100%. Every single feature in this vehicle is working the way it should. There is no surprises or dissappointments with this vehicle. Its a 10 out of 10 all the way.
Before this vehicle was "flooded" it had a clean carfax with no accident history. I dont believe this vehicle was ever in any accidents and all the painwork seems to be original and perfect.
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. This vehicle has a salvage flood certificate from New York. It is YOUR responsibility to find out the laws and regulations for titling this vehicle in your state. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. With that being said, feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns. My name is Matt and my number is 646-243-9866. Thanks and good luck bidding!

This 'tattooed' Lexus UX is the first of its kind, and we love it

Wed, Mar 18 2020

Lexus commissioned the first “tattooed” car ever, and itÂ’s chosen the UX as the tattoo artistÂ’s canvas. Art cars and special projects catch our eye sometimes, but this particular project is one of the most intriguing works of art on a car weÂ’ve seen in a long time. The process that tattoo artist Claudia de Sabe went through to translate her vision onto the UX is what weÂ’re really interested in here. Since the UX is obviously a metal car, de Sabe needed to use a Dremel tool to drill away the blank white surface paint, exposing the bare metal underneath. Those painstakingly drilled lines were used as the pattern for the art taking shape. She had to be unerringly precise in her work. After all, thereÂ’s no magic eraser for drilling into a carÂ’s metal body panels. Spending that much time free-drawing with a Dremel is intensive and demanding work, too. Comfortable positions are hard to come by, and a slip could be disastrous. After the pattern was drilled in, de Sabe switched to car paint and brushes. The koi fish and waves were painted on by hand, and then finally, de Sabe used gold leaf to create highlights in the paint and give it a stronger 3D effect. To protect the artwork, a layer of lacquer was applied, making it possible to drive this UX on the road. From the planning stages to the finished product, Lexus says it took six months. The in-studio work from de Sabe (and her tattoo artist husband who assisted her work) took place over five eight-hour days. “My main inspiration for the design of the car was just all the beautiful artwork that IÂ’ve seen in Japan, in the temples, ukiyo-e prints, all of that artistic background,” de Sabe says. Tattooing a car isnÂ’t cheap either, as Lexus estimates this bespoke work would cost “upwards of GBP120,000” (about $140,000). Lexus made a video featuring de Sabe explaining her work and showing the “tattooing” in progress. ItÂ’s worth a quick watch, so check it out below. This content is hosted by a third party. Lexus electric concept car teased ahead of reveal next week

Tue, Mar 23 2021

Lexus released another teaser for its upcoming unnamed concept car and also gave us an official release date. A digital world premiere is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. EDT. No new information was revealed, but the new teaser photo and video (found on Lexus’ site here) give us a better idea of what's coming. The shadowing makes it difficult to pin down, but this concept's silhouette already has us intrigued. It has the body shape of a sportback, but the ride height of a crossover.  Its nose is rather upright, and the quick view of the front reveals that the spindle grille is gone. However, some semblance of the spindle grille shape might remain — itÂ’s tough to tell in the dark shadows Lexus left us to look through, but there are jagged edges aplenty. Any kind of a massive front opening wonÂ’t be necessary for cooling, though, because this Lexus is electric. Lexus is showing off its LED lighting skills in this concept, as we can easily see some seriously exotic headlights and a light-up Lexus badge in front. Around back, thereÂ’s a similarly intriguing dashed taillight design. The gently sloping greenhouse looks like an aerodynamic design, hinting more at the electric nature of the car than we picked up on previously. We can still see the little spoiler in the back that the previous photo revealed, and the strange fin is in place, too.  Make sure to swing back in a weekÂ’s time to see the future of Lexus be fully revealed and learn all the details of what electric machine is coming our way. Lexus LFA successor with PHEV drivetrain in the works?

Sat, Nov 13 2021

Reports out of Japan say that a successor to the Lexus LFA is in the works. While this news should come with a planet-sized grain of salt, there is a non-zero chance. And since the LFA is one of the best sports cars we've driven, it bears at least considering, so let's look at the mere possibility of a successor. Best Car magazine claims to have in their upcoming Dec. 10 issue a scoop about the new "super sports" car. They say that the successor is a plug-in hybrid with a front-midship layout (the heavy motor behind the front axle) under a carbon fiber body. The gas side of the equation is said to be a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 generating approximately 937 horsepower. It's supposedly scheduled for a 2025 debut. This seems to be a different car than the rumored Gazoo Racing Super Sport, which is based on the Toyota's entrant in the WEC's new Le Mans Hypercar class. That car would have to resemble the race car somewhat, and as such would have a twin-turbo hybrid V6. We find it highly unlikely that Toyota would build two super-expensive cars at the same time. Also, note the rumored engine is a 4.0-liter V8, a displacement that doesn't exist in any modern Lexus. Perhaps that could mean a replacement for the current 5.0-liter V8? Or maybe just a sign that this is all much ado about nothing.  However, we have seen an LFA prototype with modified bodywork lapping the Nurburgring in late 2018, some six years after the original ended production. The same car was spotted in summer of 2019 as well, the same year Lexus' then vice-president, now president Koji Sato told Autocar, "We need strong requests for a new LFA from the media. This can help us proceed.” Well, if that's what it takes then consider this another vote in the yes column, even though we've described its 4.8-liter V10's 552-horsepower output as not very impressive on paper by the time it came out and covered how it wasn't a hot seller, with new examples still being offered for sale as new in 2018. In the years since, though, it seems the collector market seems to have taken a liking to the LFA. At Monterey Car Week this year, a regular LFA sold for $819,000, more than doubling its original $375,000 sticker, while a 1 of 50 Nurburgring Edition sold for $1.6 million. If the GR Super Sport really is canceled as some rumors suggest, perhaps there is room in the Toyota family for another LFA. We still wouldn't hold our breaths, though.
