The Lexus SC430 is an interesting car. About a year ago, we had our first one. There was tremendous interest in the car and it sold in a very short period of time. Since then we have been on a quest to find another one. We did, and it also sold quickly. We now have been getting inquiries for SC430's. We look for them daily. Finding a SC430 that met our standards is not easy. Most of the ones we saw had a bad car fax, high miles, or was over priced. As with any car we buy, we always want to make sure our cars are of the highest standards. Most affordable SC430's don't. This one does....

We are proud to offer this beautiful low miles SC430 for sale. Having been driven only 5,000 miles per year, this 52,000 mile Millenium Silver example is a rare find. It has a clean car fax and has a history of being well taken car of and serviced. Everything on this car shows its exceptional quality. The paint is shiny and looks almost like new. It’s completely free of any dents or dings. The wheels are also in exceptional condition. The polished centers look beautiful and really ad to the overall design of the car. As expected, the tires are also in great condition.

Upon opening the door, you can really appreciate the attention to detail Lexus put into these cars. The Ecru leather is beautiful against the birds eye maple veneer. The leather is free of any scaring. We are completely amazed at the wood. It literally looks like its brand new. There is not a single mark or flaw on it anywhere. The entire interior of this car is as impressive as the exterior.

As expected, this car drives as well as it looks. The car is tight and smooth. Its rattle free and as expected, every operation functions as it should. From the memory seats to the convertible hard top, everything operates with perfection. This car is smooth, fast, solid, and a dream to drive. There is nothing that needs to be done for its new owner to drive and enjoy the car on a regular basis. One of the reasons for this SC430's exceptional condition and operation is the way it has been taken care of. We have the service history and nothing has been overlooked. We have a copy of the cars service history as well as its window sticker and car fax. We are happy to email a copy of them to perspective buyers. Included with the car will be all of the remote key, floor mats, trunk mat, owners manual, GPS owners manual, Lexus first aid kit, service history, and car fax.

This is an excellent opportunity to own one of the most sought after Lexus's in years. Since production has ceased, values on these cars has gone up. In this example you will get not only a beautiful car, but the security if knowing it has been serviced and maintained the way it should be. This SC430 is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

Toyota to pay $17.35M federal fine for delayed Lexus RX recall

Tue, 18 Dec 2012

This summer, we brought you news that Lexus was recalling over 150,000 RX and RX hybrid crossovers tied to its massive pedal entrapment issue. An update to that story included word from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it was considering launching a federal investigation into potential delays by the automaker in notifying owners about the problem. Now comes news that parent company Toyota will pay a hefty $17.35 million in fines for delaying its recall of the 2010 Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h. According to The Detroit News, the Japanese automaker is being forced to pay the maximum fine for delaying recalls - and this isn't the first time. In fact, this is the fourth time since 2010 that Toyota has been required to do so, including paying $48.8M in civil penalties in 2010 for failing to recall vehicles in a timely manner - in three separate campaigns.
In addition to the fines, Toyota has agreed to restructure the way it handles quality control and review "safety-related issues." Though the Japanese automaker has not admitted any wrongdoing, Toyota has agreed to meet with NHTSA for six months on the matter and may extend the meetings another six months.
US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood says he is counting on Toyota to improve its ability to address such safety issues: "With today's announcement, I expect Toyota to rigorously reinforce its commitment to adhering to the United States safety regulations," he said in a statement.

2019 Lexus UX 250h First Drive Review | Flashy looks and smart hybrid tech

Wed, Sep 12 2018

STOCKHOLM, Sweden — Lexus admittedly is late to the subcompact crossover segment, but it hopes to make up ground with the 2019 UX by offering an intriguing combination of hybrid technology and flashy design. Longer than any premium subcompact SUV rival at 177 inches, the UX's 60.6-inch height is lower than all but the Infiniti QX30 and Mercedes GLA, and it sits in the middle on width at 72.4 inches — the BMW X1 and Subaru XV are narrower, the Audi Q3 and Jaguar E-Pace wider. Those dimensions give the UX a much more hatchback/crossover feeling, rather than a boxy and upright SUV. The inline four-cylinder 2.0-liter gasoline engine teams with two electric motors to produce 175 horsepower channeled through an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. The hybrid offers electric all-wheel drive with a dedicated electric motor generator integrated into the rear differential. Despite the crossover looks, Lexus never suggests the UX is a proper off-roader. On-road it does feel a little more solid, and promises more traction on slippery surfaces off-road. The U.S. market gets a strictly gasoline-fed option too, in the UX 200. It's powered by a 2.0-liter 169-horsepower four-cylinder engine paired to Toyota's new direct-shift CVT transmission and front-wheel-drive only. Economy figures are still to be finalized, but Lexus estimates 33 combined mpg for the UX 200, with the all-wheel-drive 250h expected to achieve 38 mpg combined. Related: 2019 UX is the most affordable Lexus In Europe, the UX will be sold alongside the now-aging CT hatchback, despite rumors the CT is on its way out (it's already been axed in the U.S.). But the UX is by far the superior vehicle. The CVT in the Lexus UX is better and doesn't whine like the transmission in older versions of the CT. The UX also handles way better, even though for most customers its environmental credentials, keen running costs and distinctive design are more likely to factor into the buying-decision process. The UX's cabin is a welcoming space. It's smart, logical and less cluttered than the larger NX. Material quality is excellent and original in places too — the optional dashboard covering akin to textured Japanese washi paper is a good example — and Lexus is stressing the brand's superior craftsmanship, called Takumi, throughout its range. Unfortunately, the interior is hamstrung by the laptop-style touchpad for the infotainment screen (7-inch is standard, 10.25-inch on F-Sport trim).

Lexus GS F coming in 2016 with 500 hp

Sat, 06 Sep 2014

The Lexus GS F has been one of those cars that's been rumored and whispered about for years, but has never come to fruition. The last time we spoke of the Lexus-badged BMW M5-killer was in a crop of spy photos, posted one year ago yesterday. So what's behind this latest rekindled round of rumors?
Well, according to Autocar, sources have claimed that the GS F will hit markets in 2016, and that it will make use of a more potent version of the Lexus RC F's 5.0-liter V8 that will sing to the tune of 500 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF will be included, as will a Torsen limited-slip diff. Taken as a whole, the executive sedan should get to 60 in the mid-four-second range and accelerate to a top speed of 170 miles per hour.
Prices in the UK will start at 80,000 pounds ($130,000 at today's rates, but as we know, translating British prices to American prices is an inexact science), and right away, we run into a big issue.
